Brexit was a mistake from the very start and Britain is just beginning to realise that fact.

Isabel Oakeshott is an arch-Brexiteer, working closely in past few years with Lord Michael Ashcroft (the largest individual donor? to the Conservative Party) on matters of political research & polling and also vehemently anti-lockdown and very sceptical about most measures during Covid outbreak. She was the political editor of the Times and is International Editor of TalkTV. She is very much herself and in character during this interview.
Richard Tice was deputy to Nigel Farage in the Brexit Party and now leader of the Reform Party - a populist, "libertarian", certainly right-wing outfit that exists to keep Tory's in line with absurd ideas such as Brexit. He is very much himself and in character during this interview.
Isabel Oakeshott & Richard Tice have been literally shagging one another since 2018.

The weeks and days became less. All of a sudden I had less days left than projects to complete. No problem I thought - I'll do it all in the last 2 weeks. Err - last week and I'll do 2 projects a day - err - make that 3. Damn. Yes. A government strewn with student errors - failed to prepare and all of that. Hesseltine is right although they preferred to look past it. No matter your position - 4 years wasted and a severe shock to the collective system. A government willingly, knowing approaching a cliff edge and we are still there...dangling away. Perhaps it may have worked if competent people were at the wheel but that was never going to happen because piss up in a brewery (or number 10!) and all that! So there needs to be a period for "concept proof". It feels more like an idealistic experiment - a very expensive one and we all have to pay our share of the price whilst the rich folk just get richer. God luv yer guvnor - spare a penny?

Hesetine was the one tasked with implementing the EU policy/directive to shut down the British coal industry because Brussels had decided that Poland was to supply the EU with coal. (way before we had any 'Net Zero' warriors). He didn't care a damn about the harm and suffering this caused to thousands of British working class families and whole communities. At that time the coal industry was still a great benefit to the nation. Heseltine is not worth listening to he is so tainted with his own acts working for the benefit of the EU.
