Thanks for speaking the truth and no scare tactics...We did LVP in our mobile, nice strong LVP with a pad back and our floor as bad as it is not level at all and we went right over linoleum and particle board and its been 2 years and it looks and sounds great no creaking we are super happy with the results. There doing this everywhere done all the time but as this video states make sure floor is good and solid no mold and moister. Fix the creaks before you lay it down and buy the good stuff don't cheap out the better the LVP will perform like you want.
I had Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring installed in the kitchen, dining room, den, living room, and 2nd bath in my double wide at the beach. Love it, no regrets.
Awesome video we just downsized from a 3500 sq ft 7 bedroom subdivision house to a 1200 sq ft mobile hlme on 5 acres across country lol, we are deff replacing the floors soon. Your video about mobile home myths really made me decide it was a good choice
Curious as to how that peel and stick flooring is holding up so far? I installed some flooring in my mom’s mobile home. I had serious reservations about it. It was very similar to yours, but not peel and stick. It had a tilt and lock system. Those did not work well. The natural flex you have in a mobile home floor didn’t allow for those tiny grooves to stay together. Then there would be a dark line where it separated each plank. They only way to fix that ONE is tear up everything that came after it and lay it all again. Talk about a nightmare. However, the flooring I talked her into for the kitchen and baths had a grip strip (sticky) on the edge that you joined the planks together with. Those went down beautifully. Stayed put and look like tile or wood. You can get them at Home Depot. Think they were called Allure by TrafficMaster. I will say getting thicker, stiff tilt and lock flooring works great but not easy to cut. You need the right saws. The floppy vinyl with the tilt lock edge, garbage on a floor that flexes even the slightest bit. Tile I wouldn’t recommend for something you plan to ever move. I would also recommend laying cement board in the places you are going to tile. Gets rid of that flex.
Our mobile home is a double wide about 1600 Sq ft. There is a ridge where the two sections while being transported are joined together. How difficult would that be for vinyl flooring? Any suggestions?
Beautiful home. I live in a modular (not mobile) home attach to a foundation and I’ve been thinking about replacing the floor and this video gave me ideas and confidence. I have dogs and cats and this seems like a great idea. Y’all have Gorgeous flooring in a stunning home.
We're looking to buy a used mobile home but lately the prices are rising to crazy high amounts in our area. I'm hoping we can find one soon so we can get started in making it look as fabulous as yours! Thank you for the helpful content and inspiration.
Thanks for all the info. I too live in a manufactured home and want to remove the carpet for vinyl planks. I’ll make sure to have the water barrier and subfloor inspection.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are in the process of updating our floors in the living area, kitchen, dining area and hall. We just went to LL too and saw a floor model that looked really nice, but when we got a free sample, it didn't look as nice (it was vinyl wood look). So we are still shopping and researching.
Where are the baton (I think that's what they're called) strips on the walls? Did y'all remove them? I don't see any but I'm looking on a phone. I used to have a mobile home that I so loved.♥️
Most of the interior space is wood paneling, which we painted white! There are a few places where there are battens, like in the kid's room! Thanks for commenting!!
Had an installer drill holes in our new laminate FLOOR to pull cables through. We are very unhappy about it, it's a cheap, quick & dirty way to pull cable. The wall plate is so much more professional. Hoping to switch the cable to the wall & repair the floor!
Too much time spent standing and talking into the camera. Would have been nice to see more active info about laying the floor. The floor looks beautiful but I fast forwarded through it to see if you had any demonstrations. Good luck with your new place.
Now I'm worried we have two major areas that obviously something was spilled on and never properly cleaned, these are both in carpeted areas. Our flooring contractor has said nothing about repairing the underlayment/subfloor. I'm now afraid of the cost of these repairs as we have a somewhat limited budget. How do I find a flooring expert that can fix the subfloor issues, before we tackle the flooring?
What I would like to know being that you have a trailer home that you remodeled I would like to know what what did you use on the walls they look beautiful is it cheap Rob or it's what was in the trailer before you bought it please text message me back and let me know thank you
You sure overtime not crack, you said you are family of 5 plus pet … how long soon enough you have to replace it…I purchase my mobile home 2.5 years ago, change the floor to same as your floor choose, but it’s started to crack and the gab between plank is missing giving us the gab and dirt in it
an you could've bought vyinle that has the same aspects that the planks do gives same look an feel . for 250 bucks.. dude you wasted money. that sticky shit does not last long. after 2 or 3 good mops yea you'll have floating pieces everywhere.

What did that cost I’m looking to do the same in my home
The vinyl floor product you ended up choosing is so nice. It really looks like real wood and the cost is amazing.
We also purchase peel and stick vinyl tiles on sale from Lumber Liquidators. Did our 300 sq foot living room for $150!
So affordable and so easy to install!! Thanks for commenting!
Very informative also professional thank you for your knowledge

On a double wide do you cross the seam or go with the seam?
With this material, do you have to worry about shrinking and expanding during weather changes?
Did you get a response Juan Ponce? I wonder the same.

is this flooring easy to sweep and mop?
How big an area did you cover with the planks
Love the video!
2024 flooring prices are much higher. My old trailer's subflooring is not super level and I cannot replace it. Looking for suitable floor options.
Is all vinyl wood-like flooring waterproof?

@@OurJourneyToBliss It all looks very nice!
$600 for your flooring, what is the square footage? We are considering redoing our flooring and ours is a about 2,500 square feet.
Here in Maine when you're buying a home you have to have a home inspection. It's the law.

Did you use this floor in the bedrooms as well, or was carpet installed?
Yes we did this floor it the whole house. We put a big area rug in the kid's room. ;)

Just looked through your video list to watch (am a visual learner) you install that flooring. Nothing. Darn! 😒
I know... 😔 I was here for 8 nights by myself doing the renovation and was pushing to get it done. I wish I would have filmed more, too!
That video did nothing.... what was the purpose of you talking thru the whole video.... no offence , but maybe show us how you layed the floor ...
A mobile homes shift.
Looks expensive! Beautiful
Right!? Cost was just over $600, saved on labor since we did it ourselves! We love the look!

Has that happened in your home? Our flooring lasted for around 10 years.
