Great games! I liked how in the second game the team responded immediately to your timely call and turned a losing scenario into a smashing victory. Shows how experience on the battlefield is worth more than the damage your own mech can do. I salute you!
Bara was in the mood for it today! Calling like a boss and not taking no for an answer. That's how you call and motivate the team. Of course it helps when the calls are the right ones which they absolutely were. Well played all involved. The enemy hiding in death valley in the first match should have pushed out to finish the few of you trying to hold them. They obviously didn't have someone of your stature Bara, calling on their side :D The Fafnir in the second match was a boss. Going in and staying in despite taking lots of fire. Well played Pilot. Really exciting games today Bara. Thank you for all the videos :D
First game - fun. Second game - that call you made, about the team not (yet) pushing; that really made all the difference. It's great when someone makes such a call, and the team follows as a team. Really. So this is also a shout-out, please: use those comms, and help the team.
90% of the time when I make a call, the team says F U and does their own thing anyway. Eventually the experienced players get tired of trying to herd cats in QP.
Amazing games, super exciting! That UAV in the first game was perfect, really rallied the troops to get to the correct spot. And in the second game, your call for the flanking mechs to move in absolutely had a big effect. Both of those moves helped you win the game, and it was great to see. :)
In the miniatures game...not really a brawler. But...its actually a damn good loadout. Low heat. Jump jets. Decent armor. But the true shine are the dual LB-10x's. The scattergun effect is just so fun with random crits or nice solid shot rounds. I would still like a few lasers for backup. But still. Nice. Ooooo no XL engine? Without that or a light fusion in the board game, no way that loadout would fit. But...hmmm. I am gonna have to experiment now! You have gotten me bitten by the battletech bug! Btw, been playing the miniatures boardgame since 86. 1986.
I think in the first game the cicada underrun your rocket damage. Also, the XL engine on this mech makes sense, because it consists mainly of CT and Arms, like nearly every chicken leg mech, where you rather loose first your CT then the side torsos.
Just gave the viper a haircut with the first rocket salvo. You can see most of them explode on the rocks behind it. lol Oh well, it happens. Love your content! Prost!
I have a Build suggestion of an Annihilator 1-X sporting dual lb 20's and six medium pulse lasers on a light engine 300. I always look forward to watching your videos on my lunch break. Thanks for the tactics and content.
Hey Baradul, been watching since ~2018 (Whenever the 120 rocket bushwacker was). Had a question for you: What are some of your favorite mech games? Thank you for the content, it's always a pleasure to pick through your MWO vids on my lunch break or put your LPs on in the background when I'm working. Stay good.
In honor of dakka week, I formally protest the presence of the rockets, hilarious though they may be. Their existence decreases the overall maximum dakka you can throw at your enemies for Gork and Mork's viewing pleasure. MOAR DAKKA!!!!! 🤣
It would be interesting to see this build with the 60 kph and some lrms instead of rockets. Use the lrms while moving in to make some gaps somewhere and then the lbxs to crit what gets opened.
Hey Baradul, after a lot of time i finally found a Dakka loadout for a mech, it's a 3x uac5 , 5x micro lsr on an ebon jaguar. Hope u read this comment :3
The Ebon Jaguar is kind of better as a mid range striker. I run my EBJ-C with 2 UAC10s and 3 medium lasers. It basically just ruins days for the other team.
@@wheresurdad It can't agro too hard, but it hits like a truck with a 39.5 alpha and a 59.5 burst with UAC10 double tapping. Just make sure you don't get focused and remember to utilize cover. Ebon Jags are not as sturdy as they should be in MWO.
@@wheresurdad Oh and keep the UAC10s on the same side of the mech for better convergence. If you want a good UAC5 Dakka mech, I suggest the Sunspider SNS-A with 3 UAC5s and a SNS-D left torso for that tasty tasty ECM. I use a heavy medium laser as back up on the left arm for that. Because often I stick around long enough to completely run out of ammo.
The double tap on those isn't worth it on UAC2s, because their cycle time is so low. Plus they spread damage too much. You're better off with 6 AC2s or LB2Xs. The former has better pinpoint damage, the latter is more obnoxious and crits like crazy.
I treat rockets like sandpaper, great for scouring of off a startling amount of armor in quick order. Wouldn't typically use them against fast moving targets as it's a one and done.
Catapults have vestigial arms. Most of them have missile box pods. Stuff like the CPLT-K2 has energy mounts for the arms. It's not like the Timber Wolf where the shoulder missile pods are considered part of the side torso sections.
Nah, the big doors on the Catapult make you way easier to spot when they're open, and if you have anything other than your weapons in there, opening weapon doors increases damage to that component by about ten to twenty percent I believe.
@@screamingcactus1753 No, open doors do not increase incoming damage. Closed doors reduce damage by 10% instead. So mechs with missile doors have a bit more effective HP on these parts when they are closed.
@Baradul How come you don't promote your Patreon any more? I know you stopped with the lockdowns as you don't like to pressure people but you are probably the only youtuber now that doesn't even mention that you have a Patreon account :) Like: "... subscribe to the channel, leave a like, support me on my Patreon, link below, and if you have a build suggestion..."
Check the frame-by-frame, the VPR is over 52m when the indicator turns red. This indicates a hit. Also, he shot his lb10's much later and much before the rockets (you can see that hit indicated separately).
Yeah the Deathstrike is not a tank, it's a striker. Same goes for basically every variation of the Blood Asp. Bring a ton of heavy fire power take a shot move to cover then repeat. You simply cannot brawl in most Clan Assault Mechs, they're not sturdy enough for it.

Last enemy standing in game 2 was a Mauler with twin LB20X and a Snubbie... That's not something I'd want to turn a corner and run into.
What happened to your Mech?
A Mauler sneezed :P
One of my favorite builds is the 2x Lbx10, 2x PPC. Very good build.

for the algaerythme
AlGoreRhythm
I run the K2 with dual AC-10 4x ER Med Lasers and XL 280.
It's not bad, being smaller with such good range and dps is pretty great. Really punchy 👌
I think in the first game the cicada underrun your rocket damage. Also, the XL engine on this mech makes sense, because it consists mainly of CT and Arms, like nearly every chicken leg mech, where you rather loose first your CT then the side torsos.
Epic vid Baradul! Thanks!
Catapults with box launchers stick out on battlefield like a sore thumb! Not able to hide that wide profile!
Just gave the viper a haircut with the first rocket salvo. You can see most of them explode on the rocks behind it. lol Oh well, it happens. Love your content! Prost!
I'd suggest a Timber Wolf TBR-Prime with dual ATM-12s and 4 Medium Pulse Lasers. It's a hot build but fantastic for assault hunting.
Catapult gameplay is always good to see. :)
You can strap double lb20 to the catapult for a bit of fun
Its freakin' incredible what amount of damage that little Catapult can take 😂
Absolutly amazing
Great work 🤘😁
This is one of my favorite builds!
I love the snubapult too!
Wait... an inner sphere missile mech that Baradul isn't putting MRM's on? Wow, 2021 sure is different! =P
Love the classic dual 10's though!
I have a Build suggestion of an Annihilator 1-X sporting dual lb 20's and six medium pulse lasers on a light engine 300. I always look forward to watching your videos on my lunch break. Thanks for the tactics and content.
Canon to the left of them.

Hi Baradul, Im Hockenberry in the game, is my first time in your videos. I hope the next time we play in the same team.
He's got a shotgun!!! Don't worry about him...its Baradul....you know he can't hit the broad side of a barn with a shotgun LOL
I don't suppose anyone knows what colors Bara used for this? I absolutely love the look of this Catapult and want to use the colors on my Marauder.
I hear Baraduling banjos when I see a rocket build...lol
In honor of dakka week, I formally protest the presence of the rockets, hilarious though they may be. Their existence decreases the overall maximum dakka you can throw at your enemies for Gork and Mork's viewing pleasure. MOAR DAKKA!!!!! 🤣
He missed his rockets in both games so your protests fall on Deaf ears son. 😂 All that explanation and build up and he whiffed high both times. 😂😂
@@loganholmberg2295 I know! Made the comment before watching. The whiffage was Gork and Mork's displeasure at the inadequacy of his build. . . 🤣
vapor eagle rival 2 hvy med, one atm 9 3 hvy mg. need to increase dps what would you change?
Since this week is dakka, you have to field a King Crab build.

Knew the rockets were coming :P
Try Scortch 4xSRM 6, 2xER Med Laser, 2xLBX-5
Great second match!
Thx for the content Bara
Emm I preferred the previous LBX20 build more. =)
MAD-3R with 3x AC2 /UAC2 ? Probably, definitely not the most viable build but it's much colder than 3x RAC2!
i'd like to see you play a Jager w/ 2x AC2s and 2xRAC2s
Inspired by yesterday's video I want to see a Rifleman IIC-2 with 6 x U-AC/2
The double tap on those isn't worth it on UAC2s, because their cycle time is so low. Plus they spread damage too much. You're better off with 6 AC2s or LB2Xs. The former has better pinpoint damage, the latter is more obnoxious and crits like crazy.
The other problem with UAC2s is they run too hot for the mech.
Light mech loaded with a really big gun? Like, I dunno, a cicada with a UAC/20 (if that's possible?)
The only possible use I can see for rockets would be as AOE blast vs a fast backstabber like a Flee or Piranha...
I treat rockets like sandpaper, great for scouring of off a startling amount of armor in quick order. Wouldn't typically use them against fast moving targets as it's a one and done.
This is my favorite mech.
great job!!
I know right!
That's essentially my c2 build
was fun to watch ^^
Good old C2? It's rather new compared to all the other Catapults.
You should make a video using the biggest targeting computer
i dont understand, the rockets are on your arms but still on the torso pods?
In the Catapult the missile Pods are the arms.
Catapults have vestigial arms. Most of them have missile box pods. Stuff like the CPLT-K2 has energy mounts for the arms. It's not like the Timber Wolf where the shoulder missile pods are considered part of the side torso sections.
What are those colors exactly?Wonderful blue and gold scheme:
Been searching them in game for ages and coulndt find them :o
Same ! but still no answer, nor for the pattern or the colors :s
Can somebody give me the name of the pattern and maybe colors camo ? searching for years and can't find them :s
I would like to see a Catapult 2 PPCs and 2 LBX 5 or 2.
hey dude are you on LBRY? Looked but couldnt find.
Dakka is tra-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta. Not BOOM BOOM!
I always shut my doors when the weapons run dry. Is that weird? Feels weird.
Nah, the big doors on the Catapult make you way easier to spot when they're open, and if you have anything other than your weapons in there, opening weapon doors increases damage to that component by about ten to twenty percent I believe.

I wish there was a proper mobile mech game. Warrobots just cant compare
Mmm shatapult.
Build suggestion : A little backstabby Javelin with mrm20
In the first game, you fired the rockets inside your minimum range, so they did nothing. :(
Check the frame-by-frame, the VPR is over 52m when the indicator turns red. This indicates a hit. Also, he shot his lb10's much later and much before the rockets (you can see that hit indicated separately).
It only looked like it did nothing, because he was locked onto an Assassin and not the Viper he was firing at
Death strike pilots that think their piloting a Atlas smh
Yeah the Deathstrike is not a tank, it's a striker. Same goes for basically every variation of the Blood Asp. Bring a ton of heavy fire power take a shot move to cover then repeat. You simply cannot brawl in most Clan Assault Mechs, they're not sturdy enough for it.

Rockets is worthless
They're awesome on really fast sneaky backstabber 'mechs where every ton matters.
Not as much on tanky brawlers.
