The person that came up with that blow off mount is a head porter he knows flow and where its at great job putting it there !! To the guy that built that !!
I just have to say the "flow" valuations you are giving based on size of the feeds to the turbo are misleading a bit to consumers not in the know. The size of the exhaust feeding the turbo are not really that important, to a degree. Example.... 2 2.5 pipes feeding a divided t4 flange is a better route than 2 3 inch pipes. With too big of primary hotside pipes feeding the turbo exhaust housing can creat lag and a lazy turbo. Hell 2.25 inch exhaust off of stock truck manifolds has fed cars north of 1000hp.
Great video. Late for me as I went with the Holley hooker manifold for my 72 el Camino. Shot straight up to my waist gate for priority using the motion raceworks flange then the turbo runs off the side where the battery would be. First kit I fabbed up and am pretty happy with it. Downside is no room for the ac compressor.
If i remember correctly Sloppy has a video and he mounts it on the turbo drills it out thats a pain drilling but 100% looks like thats your only option!!
Anybody else get super annoyed with pipe systems that are supposed to flow high volumes and have tight bends and 90 degree connections? Jeez some manufacturers need to try harder!
@@Coolstuffwithjimthanks dude one more i have about 8-9 inches from cylinder 2 to shock tower in my 1990 firebird it looks close but theres really no specs on the summit piece you are it for the money trick fits but i have a twin scroll and want the divided manifold and 2 wastesgates is better than 1
The set bolted to the car in the video would be perfect if the waste gate flange was covered up and you used a motion raceworks gate flange on the swivel end. Absolutely perfect setup. The trick manifold with the v band welded to the two bolt flange looks absolutely awful.

….you mean wastegate

What about the FAST LSXR?
I like that intake and may wind up with it, wanted to try the GM first.
how far in iches does the summit manifold stick off the head? i really like that its divied and looks close
It sticks out the farthest of all but it is very nice. Probably like 2” to the log.

It’s about 7 inches.
That ebay log is the way to go....Use a die grinder for 10 mins ffs....slap a 60 mil gate on the crossover and go on about your life.

How did you get all those manifolds for your test?
I purchased all of them. 💰
As much spent u could have had a custom manifold made
The folks at dirty dingo are a bunch of jerks just try to return something!
Man you crushed it, good luck at all the manifolds hard to tell just off of pictures
do you have any experience?
