Thank you. I was praying for this one. I'm preparing myself on what to expect from the country I'm going to and thought of God to understand them and share some biblical perspective.
I really love what Heiser taught in his videos which make sense. Even though most people may not agree with him, I myself agree with him...and we would never become bored with the Bible.
I've listened to many of his videos. As a critical viewer, I have only disagreed with him on one point, and it's a perspective issue, not a major one. If anyone is disagreeing with what hes saying as a general whole, they're denying the Bible. Whether through presupposed teachings or misinterpreted passages
@@AS-ft4nc With that said, I want to emphasize that I'm referring to Hebrew texts. It may or may not agree with disagree with whatever English translations you're using. Most all of them are opinion and theology driven. I spent 3 years learning Hebrew and just off chapter 1 of Genesis, I'm not pleased with any English trans and I've viewed over 70 of them. I have over 80 commentaries on Genesis, both English and Jewish.... Michael Heiser made a comment in a video years ago that if it were ever discovered John 3:16 were mistranslated it would never be acknowledged... he is absolutely correct and it is shameful that we have become that way. It's been that way with the Jews since Jesus died. Wont take but just a couple hours of mishnah study from 1st-3rd century that this isnt a modern issue.
What a Huge Revelation full of Wisdom and Insight! Thank you so much Mr. Heiser for this intro study! Ordered the 6 CD Set for the Complete Teaching Bless You!!!
Really appreciating Michaels hard work and viewpoints on theological theory. I would like to offer a viewpoint often missed when interpreting ancient legends stories etc. My clan mates and I ( I am 1st nations north american indigenous) had a revelation about interpreting some of our ancient stories about the exploits of the so called 1st inhabitants of earth, which refers to the high gods spirits animals inhabiting the , UPPER,MIDDLE,and LOWER WORLDS pre and post human creation. We realized that our fore bearers identified these realms quite possibly with simple associations of , high mountains, lower lands, and canyons and CAVES, as those distinctions of realms. It came to mind when you mentioned the divine council being recorded as NOT being on the earth but are you certain that they were not viewing the high mountain sacred areas as being thought of as the heavens as it is in many ancient societies and still is in some places being the "home of the gods" and being "taboo" places to visit as a common human being ? Just a thought.
It is where sky meets earth, Torah was, is, and will Be, as heaven is said comes to earth. Deuteronomy 11:18-21 (KJV) 18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. 19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: 21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
I had an experience that I was surrounded by 6 Angels and God. I was given a blessing to be a voice. I spoke in different tongues speaking to each one. Prior to that I was singing a song that translated to "as you saw you will voice. You are a woman not a machine" I would like to speak w you.
...adding to my previous comment, I wasn't seeking to give feedback on the video above, but following the life, work, theories, and people "inhaling" the Doctor's lessons--without further study. Mainly those who commented, believers & non-believers. Lets just say Michael has gained some popularity and I don't want the wrong person to get the wrong idea b/c of his theories and/or beliefs.
I am realizing this as we speak. It's good to have the Hebrew text even many translations *RIGHT IN FRONT OF US* while listening to teachings. So then we can see for ourself what is and what is not actually the case.
We speak of what we don’t fully understand. Have you discovered and understand things that are earthly; that you feel ready to talk about things that are celestial?
Most of this info is the result of too much study from literature by a institution that wants to control us. I never understood why God was called all Loving yet was a genocidal maniac in Bible. I was always thought there was no God. Than my Kudalini awakening happened due to emotional strain. There is a God with many Godforms helping him Govern this Universe. And the day will come these people find out they are not so righteous. You don't find God by looking on the exterior but from within
If I'm understanding you right, when God said Let us make man our image,in his image God made he man, he was speaking to the heavenly council? Been trying to understand this line for a while is why I'm asking.
Yes, the "us" refers to the divine council (the heavenly host), while it later says, "in the image of God HE made them" because there is only one Creator.
Yep, just like how in Isaiah it says, “Who will go for us?” And in Revelation it says “who is worthy?” And no one was found neither in heaven or earth, Etc. These dialogues are in the heavenly courts of the divine council before the throne of The Almighty.
Disagree with you there, the superior and unique YWH is not singular numerically, so the US in my opinion is simple YWH in discussion with himself because the council has not the power to create they are created themselves
Conrad ...which means “us” is God and Son together (soul and mind ?). Nothing indicates that “us” is council. The context is “God creates the earth and all the things”. The problem is boiled down to the question: Who is Jesus Christ, Son of God? I think you are right.
@@MrChemenger the "us" is the divine counsel. That terminology is used a handful of times throughout the OT. Every time with YHVH and other Elohim. 2nd issue is your understanding of the word created. It's not Hebrew how we think of it in English. For something to be "bara'd" or created, it has to be cut out of something else and tweaked for it's own advancing properties. (created is a very poor translation, yet so are all other words in English. To translate correctly would require about 10 english words to embody a concept we dont have a word for, nor anything remotely close). The theme of that word is to cut something in half. Like a stone to extract a gem. It also Carrie's the sense of whatever it comes from has been dead, or cant be put back to what it was before. The reason why something is "cut" is to polish it, like a stone, to make it stand out or perfect it. Same concept as the word barar which means to refine, usually by fire. With that said, I cant think of any scripture that says heavenly beings wouldnt have "making/forming" power. But knowing the Hebrew theyd have to be "created" or cut from the spirit of God meaning they would directly carry his attributes. Paul applies this concept ot Christ in power/heirship.
This makes so much sense but I have a hard time understanding why God would give most of the world away in a sense just to punish people? For not worshiping him
You have to be wash clean by the blood of Jesus so you can be in the presents of God in the afterlife. If you dont believe Jesus die and rose again to pay your debt. Then you pay the debt.
Heiser was a blind guide. He was correct in God/Elohim capital "G" and gods/elohim lower case "g" but his application was all wrong. From Heiser's Chapter 1 Unseen Realm "One such moment in my own life-the catalyst behind this book-came on a Sunday morning in church while I was in graduate school. I was chatting with a friend who, like me, was working on a PhD in Hebrew studies, killing a few minutes before the service started. I don’t recall much of the conversation, though I’m sure it was something about Old Testament theology. But I’ll never forget how it ended. My friend handed me his Hebrew Bible, open to Psalm 82 He said simply, “Here, read that … look at it closely.” The first verse hit me like a bolt of lightning: Psalm 82:1 God stands in the divine assembly; he administers judgment in the midst of the gods I’ve indicated the Hebrew wording that caught my eye and put my heart in my throat. The word elohim occurs twice in this short verse. Other than the covenant name, Yahweh, it’s the most common word in the Old Testament for God. And the first use of the word in this verse worked fine. But since I knew my Hebrew grammar, I saw immediately that the second instance needed to be translated as plural. There it was, plain as day: The God of the Old Testament was part of an assembly-a pantheon-of other gods." >>>>Okay this is from Heiser’s book the “Unseen Realm” Chapter 1 in his opening of this book. Let’s look at the word “pantheon”, this one word changes everything about Heiser’s theory. Heiser’s view of pantheon of other gods is spiritual/non-human/angelic, what most people do not know is that the word pantheon has a dual meaning, so it is not just pantheon spiritual gods. Let’s look at dictionary definiton for the word “pantheon” 1) a group of particularly respected, famous, or important people: somewhat formal : a group of people who are famous or important "the pantheon of the all-time greats" example: a building in which the illustrious dead of a nation are buried or honoured. 2) all the gods of a people or religion collectively: the gods of a particular country or group of people "the deities of the Hindu pantheon" (especially in ancient Greece and Rome) a temple dedicated to all the gods. So with the definition can apply to both 1) people and 2)pagan gods. What Heiser did when it came to Psalm 82, he applied the pagan god (elohim) meaning to the pantheon, which is the second use of the word pantheon, this is where he error's from the first chapter in his book the unseen realm. What Heiser should have done is apply the “FIRST” meaning of the word pantheon to the gods/elohim in Psalm 82, which would be people. When a person applies the “FIRST” meaning Israel now fits in Psalm 82 as the gods/elohim. Israel is Jacob’s decendents made up of 12 tribes. Psalm 82 is totally about Israel (Jacob’s decendents). Israel is the “Chosen People” of God in that time period, Israel is important because Jesus Christ, the Messiah would come through that people group, Jesus came from the tribe of Judah, Judah is how we get the term “Jew” from. So the pantheon of gods/elohim would be Israel all of Israel, which would consist of people that are Judges, Rulers, Kings, Elders and even the common Israelite person. So when a person Pairs up Psalm 82 and John 10 Israel, Jacob's decendents/12 tribes makes more sense. Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;>>>>>>Israel
Are you saying that only those of the Divine Council who rebelled are here on Earth? Is it possible that those who did not rebel of this Divine Council are coming to Earth during this very important time trying to understand all that has gone wrong with Free Will? Corporeal versus no corporeal form? Maybe I missed something and will rewatch and do more research... IDK
My face can have a sad face, a happy face, and an angry face. My "one" personality has *many* traits and aspects to it that seem to change because it's according to a particular time and the conditions of that given situation. The English translation "divine council" is translated as such from El (singular). *What's wrong with this translation?* "The Elohim are set over the council of El, among the Elohim he judges." It is my understanding that the many teachings of this verse have the presupposition that the "many" *DO NOT* "council" to the one. This insight may be important in the future.
Of course there are other gods, but none is like the Most High God. All Angels and Demons and many other creatures that many Prophets have seen and reported on. There is a little g god for every nation. There is One God For Christian, knowing that there are powers and entities that we don't see too often. Each man is under their own National god in his natural state,God the Father becomes the mans God when he recognizes his own dilemma in his life and recognition of Jesus Christ, repentance of sin and the will to make His yours. Thanks again for the video,so many don't understand this at all and it is a major problem because you need to know your enemy and friends.
I don't know anything about this heavenly council but when I read parts of genesis I read about Abraham and how he met Melchizedek and it called him the priest of the Most High God. Immediately I thought to myself the notion most high God indicates other gods... So I'm lead to this video.
Daniel Lumsden I am really interested in learning more, does Michael Heiser have a UA-cam page I would really like to subscribe PLEASE AND THANK YOU :)

+l3ertuz Just a suggestion for you l3ertuz; there is another very good Bible software from Laridian called "PocketBible". I've used it for years now and have witnessed their continuous updates and new entries to what is now a very extensive and authoritative program. Find them at www.laridian.com Their policy of "Buy it once and own it forever" is great. For example "Once you purchase a Bible or book from us for one device, your license allows you to install it onto any supported device you own or control. If you bought a Bible for your Windows CE Handheld PC in 1998, you can download it to your iPad or Android smartphone today at no additional cost. It's that simple."Blessings to you!
Logos Bible software of which Michael heiser is part of processing. It appears to be one of the most prolific study resources available. There are many different packages at varying prices ranging from around 200 - 10000 Usd. Good luck
Q. Why then does YaHusha refer to the cross-reference Scripture of Ps. 82:6 when addressing the Jews, which were human: John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
I do understand that the divine council is being addressed but don't they apparently rebel and fall to earth and like satan and will die like men in Ps 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. So couldn't they be BOTH divine council and fallen ones clothed in human skin as to ultimately die - thus YaHusha's encounter with them or even us on earth?
Well you're looking at the divine council when they were cooperating with the most high and when they weren't as the same thing. They at one time did serve as the divine council, but defected. I don't know these things, but that's my understanding...
TheLibbyTube he was basically using their law against them. That's just the short explanation lol dr Heiser goes over this I forgot which one sorry, but your question is answered.
Well, I suppose I should apologize: my mistake. It actually states that he attended a Theological Seminary in Dallas after educated himself in UW (Wisconsin). I understand your need to stand by the Doctor but there really is no need: NO PERSON, educated, spiritual, religious, or otherwise, has all the answers. And it is A FACT that there are things of the ancient past--as well as in this day and age--which have surfaced and come under modern terms of study, which can not be studied with primitive minds such as ours; regardless of our education. Now there are some, which explain things of mundane or divine nature, who happen to be of mundane or divine nature themselves--having none of the education of our times. I do not place the Doctor we speak of in that category--although I believe Michael gives us some things that are productive, in our neverending quest of gaining higher knowledge to increase our soul in its lessons of Craft, and even debunking some myths of "aliens" and/or demonologies. Yet there is still physical evidence in these areas that even doctor Heiser can't explain. Ram
While I don't have a problem with the range of the use of the term Elohim nor of the concept of a divine council, I do see what appears to be glaring omissions. First the use of Elohim for the king of Israel in psalm 45 was omitted from what I heard. Likewise the reference to Moses in Deut 4. Clearly MEN are referred to as Elohim by the authors of canonical text. Thus we know that Elohim has nothing to do with "place of residence" - as Michael asserts. Rather, Elohim is a term used to reflect a POSITION. Additionally in John 10.30ff Jesus is clear that the theoi or Elohim in psalm 82 are MEN - not divine beings. In addition, if anyone simply reads Psalm 82 they will see the context is clear that men are being referred to, that is, authorities in Israel are being referred to. Noting these omissions I am now tapping out as I need to interact with people who reference the WHOLE counsel of God rather than simply cherry pick texts to fit their own personal religious ideas.
@@juicygoldengrapes Yes I tend to agree .... And that is why I am not following up further here BTW - Are you familiar with Dale Tuggy's FB Trinity's Podcast? I am not giving it a carte blanche rating but simply indicating that it has some reasonable efforts by a number of members
Psalm 45 is referring to the Messiah which is technically a Elohim and in Deut 4 the word Elohim is only used of God in that chapter: books.google.com/books?id=CPCaAwAAQBAJ&pg=PA171&lpg=PA171&dq=deuteronomy+4+elohim&source=bl&ots=7AQL2b1fjt&sig=ACfU3U0nFbCf-m3G23IPoDDNFbzCchi5-g&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjPodvlzZjqAhXWlXIEHamIATMQ6AEwAXoECAgQAQ#v=onepage&q=deuteronomy%204%20elohim&f=false
LETS SEE HOW SMART MICHAEL IS, BET HE DIDNT KNOW WHERE THAT MEETING WAS. The Anunnaki he caused to take their seats. In the Assembly Hall, place where the great judgments are decided, Decisions to arrange he caused them to know. These gods he caused to take up there their abode. Their clean sacrificial food he gave, their crowns he clothed upon them. In the king's place, the throne room, the _kinsig_ of the vast abode, The libation of wine and honey yearly he decreed. For Nippur the city whose shadow extends afar The people, the dark headed, he caused to have reverence. But its habitations he cursed ... Like scattered cows he scattered them. The city's interior is filled with weeping, While the consort, its divine queen, is not solicitous for her. The great house which knew the cry of multitudes, Like a vast building in ruins men enter not. In Nippur, the city where great princes were prosperous, Why have they fled?
+Chris Dealny And not in the Bible. well, I can only really speak for the Bible. And this is what this is mainly about, the Biblical spiritual world view.
the bible is a catholic bullshit book changed 3 time by them and each time they said it was the word of god. When they put it together they didnt know that god was a biological being and was dead.
Not sure where Heiser thinks in Psalm 82 that this is about angels, spiritual beings or even sons of God. Heiser is either blind or he is opposing to what Jesus says in John 10. First lets look at Psalm 82. ^ ^ Psalm 82:1 God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: 2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? ^ ^ Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High. 7 But you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes ^ ^ The divine council In Psalms 82:1 is also referred to as the congregation of the mighty or the great assembly. They gather together to hear judgement, because in verse 2 this divine council judging unjustly and showing partiality to the wicked. Have to remember this divine council is given the "law". Spiritual beings or angles were not given the law. The "law" was given to the Nation of Israel. Moses is the author of the "law", but God instructed Moses what to write down in the "law". Started with the 10 commandments on Mount Sinai. God also instructed Moses all these laws, decrees, Levitical priesthood, the garments, all the kinds of offerings, and ect... Basically this is the books of Leviticus, Exodus and Deuteronomy. ^ ^ Psalm 82: 6-7 I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High. "But you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.” ^ ^ Psalm Verse 6 mentions "You are gods," This is verse is Paralleling verse 1 "in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:" The gods in both verses 1 and 6 are "gods" or "elohim" are the magistrates, judges, and other people who hold positions of authority and rule within the nation of Israel. Why is because these authoritative officials of Israel has the Law to Judge. When verse 7 says you shall die like men, the verse literally means men. I suggest googling the word "Israel". Israel is a Hebrew name....names have meanings in the Bible. If you look up Israel and the Hebrew meaning of the name you will find Israel means "Prince of God" Israel was made up of 12 tribes meaning that Israel would be "Princes", that is how you get the plurality in verse 7. Israel had the Law of God to Judge, not angelic spiritual beings. The Lord God spoke to Israel through prophets. In Psalm 82:1 and Psalm 82:6 the "gods" or "elohim" are the magistrates, judges, and other people who hold positions of authority and rule within the nation of Israel. These people were judges (leaders or rulers) whose tasks were divinely appointed (Ex. 22:8 & 9). Hence forth "divine council". So this congregation of the mighty, great assembly, or divine council is now being questioned in Psalm 82:2 by God Himself, who is the Supreme Judge over the nation of Israel and these magistrates, judges or gods (elohim). ^ ^ Also in Psalm 82 when God takes his place in the divine council (congregation of the mighty or the great assembly) is with a prophet. Can not forget Asaph. Asaph wrote Psalm 50 and 73-83 are called the “Psalm of Asaph” Asaph a “seer” or prophet. The word of the Lord would come to prophets in the Old Testament and God would speak through the prophet. So God would speak through Asaph in Psalms 82:2. A question is asked in Psalm 82:2" “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? This is basically God's divine words spoken through Asaph the prophet. The word “gods” or "elohim" in Psalm 82:6 also refers to magistrates, judges, and other people who hold positions of authority and rule within the nation of Israel. These verses are about certain individuals within the nation of Israel who have authority like judges (gods or elohim), because Israel had the law to Judge. Since the nation of Israel was given the law, it gave certain individuals within the nation of Israel the right to judge using God's law. ^ ^ God instructing Moses certain men in Israel to be Judges and Elders ("gods" or "elohim). This is in the Law from God. A Divine Council, Congregation of the Mighty or the Great Assembly Exodus 18 25-26 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people: rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 26 So they judged the people at all times; the hard cases they brought to Moses, but they judged every small case themselves. ^ ^ In Exodus 22:8 & 9 here is where a person can find how the role of these Judges ("gods" or "elohim). Exodus 22: “8 If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought to the JUDGES to see whether he has put his hand into his neighbor’s goods. 9 “For any kind of trespass, whether it concerns an ox, a donkey, a sheep, or clothing, or for any kind of lost thing which another claims to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the JUDGES; and whomever the JUDGES condemn shall pay double to his neighbor.” ^ ^ Another major point is in John 1:14 " The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." God would speak the "Word" through a prophet like Asaph in Pslam 82, in the NT the "Word" was spoken by God incarnate (flesh) by Jesus in John 10. Jesus actually quoted Psalm 82 "You are gods”’John 10 34-38 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” Jesus tells us in the New Testament when He uses and quotes from Psalm 82 that “You are gods” refers to certain individuals within nation of Israel as gods or to say judges . Jesus also reminds us that Israel had the law and the law represents God. ^ ^ Also in John 10 34-38 Jesus is claiming to be equal and is God when He said....'I said "You are gods". The “I said” statement is really no different then an “ I am” statement. Jesus is repeating and echoing the words what God the "Father" spoke through Asaph the Prophet in Psalm 82 and is repeated again in by the "Son" who is Jesus (God) in John 10, "I said, "you are gods"". Another point Jesus is having a conversation with the Pharisees (Jews), so basically Jesus is calling the Pharisees "gods" when He said "You are gods". Simply put Jesus answers the question about the "gods" in Psalm 82. Jesus in John 10 is calling the Pharisees "gods". The Pharisees are "gods" because they have the Law of God to judge, rule and govern the nation of Israel, no different then the "gods" in Psalm 82 that these Elders or Jewish Officials within the nation of Israel have the Law judge, rule and govern with the Law of God. The view of divine council as spiritual beings is "Anti-Christ", Because it fails to recognize that Jesus gives the answer and opposes the answer from Jesus in John 10. ^ ^ In Summary The phrase “You are gods” is more of a legalistic title like a judge for the nation of Israel and since there were many judges in the nation of Israel at the same time like in Psalm 82 there would be a divine council, congregation of the mighty or great assembly. God spoke to these individuals through the prophet Asaph and in John John 10 34-38 that these "gods" or elohim are judges that have the "law" of God. The same is today in America and a court of law with a judge and even the jury who decides the outcome of the party involved. The judge or jury would be like a god or gods. Another good example is the Supreme Court (gods) of the United States. So to use Psalm 82:1,2,6 and 7 as “gods” referring to angels or spiritual beings is TOTALLY false. The only spiritual presence is the words that Asaph spoke that came from God in Psalms 82. Heiser is in error he replaces the Jewish leaders or judges (gods) in positions of authority with spiritual beings. He also misuses the meaning of this "divine council" into a spiritual beings. Heiser has to remember who was given the law to judge by the law, Jesus confirms that. Heiser also seems to push Jesus aside when He quotes Psalm 82 in John 10. Heiser IGNORES Jesus's "I said" statement, "you are gods" to the Pharisees. Both in Psalm 82 and John 10 are Jewish elders and certain individuals within the Nation of Israel because they govern, rule and judge with and by the Law of God. The view of this divine council as spiritual beings is False. Heiser is either totally blind to what Jesus says in John 10 or Heiser is anti-Christ and is opposing Jesus. Jesus answers this of the "gods" clearly in John 10.
And all of you are children of the Most High. "But you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.” Psalm Verse 6 mentions "You are gods," This is verse is Paralleling verse 1 "in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:" The gods in both verses 1 and 6 are "gods" or "elohim" are the magistrates, judges, and other people who hold positions of authority and rule within the nation of Israel. Verse 7 shows they are mortal because they die like men and that is all they are is just men. Jewish elders die like men. .Israel had the Law of God to Judge, not angelic spiritual beings. The Lord God spoke to Israel through prophets. Maybe reread my post and you will understand that. When Heiser teaches and uses the title "Divine Council", it may sound catchy and appealing that they are angelic spiritual beings, but the fact of Psalms 82 is that they are Israelite Elders that have the Law to judge. Jesus answers the "You are gods" in John 10:34 & 35 "Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken). Jesus is addressing Jewish Elders (Pharisees) and they possessed the law just like the Jewish Elders in Psalm 82. If you do not grasp this interpretation reread the Original Post.
ENDofDAYS What about sons of God in Gen 6 and the Watchers mentioned by Enoch ? Are they distinct group from “gods” (Elohim) who are Jewish authorities ?
Notice this ! Mr. Heiser !!! About --- DIVINE COUNCIL Deut 32.8 Moses Song. There is mention of the Supreme God in relation to JHVH in midst sons of god! There is mention of the Most High in relation to (the created) sons of God, and in the midst of which the JHVH ( as Son ! Amog the others ) ! Hence, there is a clear distinction between the Supreme Being as the Father of the created sons of God, and as the Father of his unique Son (unborn son) JHVH! Here, the relationship between the Great and the JHVH should be noted as the relationship between the Father and the Son (a unique relationship - comparable) with the created sons of God, among whom is JHVH! In other places we also have a combination of combinations of both terms, for example in the case of meeting with Abraham with Meliksedek as El Elion and JHVH & EL ELION !!
Yahweh is the SON. I've been saying this for years. El Elyon is highest being in scripture. There isnt a YHVH el elyon. Its hebrew. Noun noun adjective. Noun noun is construct. = yhvh OF El Elyon, or reverse order possessive. El Elyon's YHVH. They do the same translational misappropriation with YHVH ELOHIM. its YHVH of Elohim. Or (the) Elohim's YHVH. Example.... Ruach Elohim. Spirit OF God, or God's Spirit. Either way says same thing. Theres 100 more examples, (1000's really) They're forcing an adjective noun or descriptive noun to be a proper which it cant be to make it appear the way it does in scripture. Also the term God. As Heiser says is a. Bad translation in Wnglish to El, Eloah, or Elohim. Because our idea of it due to monotheism as he says paints a completely different mental image than what the Hebrew does and how the Jews understood it and MEANT it most importantly 2000-6000 years back
@@garlandjones7709 There is a context with a broader context of meaning because only the whole picture gives meaning to the meaning and not part of the terminological meanings that you cling to in your determinism. The Messiah is a secret hidden from eternity that is gradually revealed in the process of Revelation to the full fulfillment of the Messiah himself. To observe only the parts means to be limited in conclusion and ghettoized by a letter which is beyond the meaning of the communication of God with man and it is adapted to the variety of the anthropomorphic man to whom the Revelation is given. The word kills and the Spirit revives !! In the Part of Revelation that I have mentioned, it is pointed out that El Elion is the Most High, but as the Father in relation to the sons among whom is YHVH! and YHVH is God as one who is as Eternal: In this case it is the Son who is YHVH among the sons of God to whom the Supreme Father is but as Creator while YHVH is the Son to whom the Higher Father is as the Father always. The Father is Eternal and Supreme as Eternal but there is no Father without the Son Because the Father is the Father by the Son but here as Name and not surname, since God is not replicated or reproduced because He is the Spirit and that Name is therefore three times holy constantly in heaven ( Isaiah 6) which indicates the correlation of the interior of the Deity as a being of communication which is One in unity i.e. Ehad and here lies the meaning of Trinity. Of course, at that stage of Obajva, it is not yet clear. To seek or grasp the truth in a letter is a failure: Exegesis is not dominant in the interpretation of the text but an auxiliary and important aid as a means. Revelation is not bibliolatry but begins as the God of the fathers and not the God of the book and that is God the Revealer! as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! exactly according to the key of number Three because the highest truth is Trinity !! and therefore the truth is also proved on the basis of two or three witnesses! Hence the Three Nions' sons or the use of two names as Jacob - Israel, Sinai Horeb, etc. which appear throughout the Bible and the baptized are baptized in the Name and not the name or surname and that. In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit !!
@@marinvucic8499 I'm not sure how you meant the comment about my determinism, but in a generic scope our conclusion agrees and you've just reiterated what I've said.
@@garlandjones7709 I have only embarked on a deeper analysis to clarify the use of Elohim instead of YHVH El Eliyon, because this is about emphasizing the relationship to the Most High as the Father while YHVH himself descends among the created sons and down this level for the Incarnation in the plan of salvation. Otherwise the terms higher or first as chronologically do not denote the state of equals in Trinity. Eg. from the state of our position look at the various of our notions we look at the Father as the Most High and thus the First: However, Jesus also takes the title First and Last .. e.g. in Revelation and of course we will not therefore conclude that Jesus is First i.e. before the Father. The Father is the First as the Father and the Son the first in a unique way monodenesis of the same kind, therefore equal to the Father in divinity and first in everything as in the title The Firstborn as the firstborn from the dead, etc. Thus, the actual context of meaning points to the meaning of the incarnate Son. among whom we are as adopted and thus partakers of the divine nature but by the Redemption of the incarnate. The term Eliyon itself should not be taken strictly in meaning because the Hebrew terms are based on the expression of verbs and multi-meaning actions, so for example the term Nahas carries the meaning of both verbs and verbs and adjectives in layers of special contexts. wanted more to emphasize meaning in this sense, as npšr. Saint Jerome when instead He will trample the head of a serpent he creates Oan will trample the head of a serpent because both do not exceed meaning.
@@marinvucic8499 I have limited time this morning but one thing sticks out to me I want to address...I am the first comment. That word first is reshit. Its first in the sense of quality or rank. I noticed you quoted Paul in Colossians 1 on that. That's fantastic. Hes making reference to that term in Genesis 1:1. Which has the "b" or "beit" preposition attached to it that we erroneously translate late into beginning into english. That says In(inside) first....he created.... reshit is also used as firstborn, firstfruits, choicest, cheif, etc... Paul also assumes contextually the Beit can be understood as by or through the first, which would altogether delete at or when that alot of translations are starting to use. Either way, there isnt conflict with that statement that I see... it's still a YHVH title, at least how its applied in the scriptures to my knowledge. I'll try to double check that today on who its applied to to make sure. Edit: another point.... before typing on this I want to ask you to think for a moment.... is eve below adam, or above, or equal? How about natural sons to natural fathers and vice versa. Hebrews as you alluded to taught conceptually. Paul makes a quote in Roman's 1:18-21 range that everything knowable about the unseen theos is revealed in the seen world.

Not sure where Heiser thinks in Psalms 82 that this is about angels or spiritual beings. Psalms 82:1 God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: 2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Psalms 82:6 I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High. 7 But you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes The divine council In Psalms 82:1 is also referred to as the congregation of the mighty or the great assembly. In Psalms 82:1 and Psalms 82:6 the "gods" or "elohim" are the magistrates, judges, and other people who hold positions of authority and rule within the nation of Israel. These people were judges (leaders or rulers) whose tasks were divinely appointed (Ex. 22:8 & 9). Hence forth "divine council". So this congregation of the mighty, great assembly, or divine council is now being questioned in Psalms 82:2 by God Himself, who is the Supreme Judge over the nation of Israel and these magistrates, judges or gods (elohim). Also in Psalms 82 when God takes his place in the divine council (congregation of the mighty or the great assembly) is with a prophet. Can not forget Asaph. Asaph wrote Psalms 50 and 73-83 are called the “Psalms of Asaph” Asaph a “seer” or prophet. The word of the Lord would come to prophets in the Old Testament and God would speak through the prophet. So God would speak through Asaph in Psalms 82:2. A question is asked in Psalms 82:2" “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? This is basically God's divine words spoken through Asaph. The word “gods” or "elohim" in Psalms 82:6 also refers to magistrates, judges, and other people who hold positions of authority and rule within the nation of Israel. These verses are about nation of Israel have authority like judges (gods or elohim), because Israel had the law to Judge. Since the nation of Israel was given the law, it gave certain individuals within the nation of Israel the right to judge using God's law. In Exodus 22:8 & 9 here is where a person can find how the role of these Judges ("gods" or "elohim). Exodus 22: “8 If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought to the JUDGES to see whether he has put his hand into his neighbor’s goods. 9 “For any kind of trespass, whether it concerns an ox, a donkey, a sheep, or clothing, or for any kind of lost thing which another claims to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the JUDGES; and whomever the JUDGES condemn shall pay double to his neighbor.” Jesus actually quoted Psalms 82 "You are gods”’ John 10:34-38 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? Jesus said in John 10:34 "It is not written in your law". Also in John 10:34-38 Jesus is claiming to be equal to God when He said....'I said "You are gods". Jesus is just quoting what God the "Father" spoke in Psalms 82 and is repeated again in by the "Son" who is Jesus in John 10:34-38. In Summary The phrase “You are gods” is more of a legalistic title like a judge for the nation of Israel and since there were many judges in the nation of Israel at the same time like in Psalms 82 there would be a divine council, congregation of the mighty or great assembly. God spoke to these individuals through the prophet Asaph and in John 10:34-38 that these "gods" or elohim are judges that have the "law" of God. Heiser also seems to push Jesus aside when He quotes Pslams 82 in John 10.
Elohim doesnt mean god. It means divine authority. It can be a spiritual being, can also be a king or judge. Its anyone given a power of jurisdictional authority with their OWN FREE WILL of choice. Assumed to be given divinely by spirit.
Jesus uses psalm 82 dynamically. That's not the Peshat. Of the Hebrew. So the idea would be not to condemn Michael's interpretation which is correct, but understand how did Jesus apply it in a different scenario, and if its valid, how many other times has this been done? Several times in the new testament.....prophecies have more than 1 application all the way back to the first five books of Moses and many times 3 or 4 different times repeating.
Please address where it is written, John 10:33-34: 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? Jesus was referring to this Psalm, and is clearly speaking of men as gods, not a divine council in the "sky". I have no inclination toward either of the two meanings here, just in need of clarification.
Kinda. I thought the same thing. But there are differences etc. Unfortunately many evangelicals have either buried their heads in sand or given themselves up to false teaching. Especially when it comes to eschatology.
Why do you distinguish between the angels and sons of God? Why is not angels a category? Then where would you put the archangels and the seraphims? You draw a bit hasty conclusions from some texts while ignoring the Throne Room in Revelations and Ezekiel.
Why do you infer that 'let us create man in OUR likeness' refers to God addressing his Divine Council and not speaking within the Trinity? How did you reach that conclusion?
#h352 as explained by Gesenius for "Elohim" -> 'primarily a political chief.' In other words, this is what the "false gods" are/were, even to this very day.
Right up to 2:49 he wrongly opposes what Yeshua said concerning this verse about "dying like men" and attributes it to The Heavenly Council, rather than to Political Chiefs (which are also Judges according to Gesenius' Lexicon for #H352).
Michael is a doctor--of theology, and some ancient studies, if I'm right--and speaks well, even means well. But ...usually there are things in history, and those given historic value, that either can not be explained or can be explained in other methods of historical study, science, theory, Gnosticism; etc. Such as "dimensional portals," zero-point energy, Sumerian and Indus/hindu texts; etc. in which persons, beings, or objects "factualized" lead believers and knowledge-seekers down a path of truth. ???????????
Dr. Heiser has PhD in Hebrew and Semetic language. Interprets over 12 ancient languages including Greek, Aramaic, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and Ugaritic cuneiform. He has also studied Akkadian and Sumerian. According to his CV. Not Theology. Here he is engaging the concept of The Divine Council, from Deuteronomy 32:8-9 and Psalms 82 to enable the interpreter of certain Old and New Testament passages to understand the texts more closely to what the original audience would have understood. Most of the videos can be understood as either hermeneutical or exegetical in nature. As to the "things that can't be explained," comment, I'm not sure I understand how this relates to the discussion of how a Jewish reader over 3000 years ago would have understood the Pentateuch.
+BA'AL Ram I find the same 'barriers' when I speak to others regarding "the gap theory"; the time between Genesis 1.1 and 1.2. No one really knows for certain what catastrophic event occurred during what may have been eons of time {and also for the record; God created 'time'}. For the record too, I do believe in the theory of a 'gap'; which allows for many false 'rabbit trails' to be followed; but because of Isaiah 45.18., and the use of the same Hebrew words; 'thohu wavohu' (formless and void [Sorry, but I don't have Hebrew on my keyboard!] as used in Genesis 1.2.), but in the sense that YHWH did not create the earth 'formless and void'), but leads one to believe that some cataclysmic event took place (the rebellion of angels, God's judgment, etc.), much is open to speculation. At least to my view; the 'gap' theory is logical, and because of that, it may offer answers to many questions.
+David O'D studied this view back in the early 1980s and ultimately abandoned it due to the structural considerations of the text. Even some young earth creationist abandoned it due to similar reasons. See a discussion here: creation.com/genesis-13-undermines-gap-theory I am not a young earth proponent but do think the structural arguments represent what I found 32-33 years ago. Dr. Heiser has much Genesis material on his site. Most scholars see it as an attempt to eisegete by reading the text in light of modern scientific discoveries and as an attempt to reconcile the account in Genesis 1 with modern science. Good luck on your research wherever it points.
@@d.od.3463 Genesis 1:1-2, does NOT present a gap between the verses. HOWEVER, verse 1 is a heading or statement of the story. The story starts in verse 3, and verse 2 is a prerequisite setting for the story. In that, verse 2 presumes when "creation" took place, the "globe" was already here. It's not hard to demonstrate in the Hebrew. Nor the English if you pay attention.
Answer to DAVID ROSS ALCHEMY OF TERMS -SINKRETIZAM The Bible writes a letter killing and spirit reviving! The truth is not in the letter neither in the code nor in the secrets nor in the alchemy of syncretism etc ... It does not mean anything! And it means to one who gives it meaning and who worships these idols. These resemblances of this kind are syncretitative alchemy of concepts that make you a spiritual addict. This resemblance is like twins, one of which is a real and the other fake, and the fake imitates the right to seduce. So the truth is only one does not have two truths. In the picture of James who wrestled we have a picture of this struggle. James is a twin who wrestled with God, that is, with the trials God has set him up. He had to defeat the old way of understanding and awareness of God and attaining a new state of consciousness and thus gaining a new name Israel. Trimming in this way is actually purging from the old as baptism where the old man takes off and dresses new.
God's as I understood it were fallen angels who declared themselves to be gods to fallen mankind. They were created to complete work for the Living God. Angels being eternal beings, were determined to die like a man, because they fell into rebellion against their creator.
If you look approximately 16:00 into video you will see hierarchy. These seem to be what Paul calls demons of a high order that rule over a nation. There relation to the satan is not known. But we see an angel in Daniel 10:13. Eph 6 and 2 Cor 10 make references to similar beings. They are all created though. So they are like us in that they are everlasting creatures, not eternal.
don't get confused. Don't lump everything into a ball. There are levels and grades of beings in the heavens. Just like the ranks here in earth in the armed forces.
Answer to ABOUT STATUE of LIBERTY !! Symbols have more meaning! One picture has a thousand words and meanings! So the meaning depends on the context! Statue means a normal symbol of freedom and for the sick with a sick way of seeing Babylon's harlotry. Things from the beganing always appear alongside both good and evil. Even at the beginning we have God Creator and competitor of the self-appointed Architect, Jesus as True Light insted Lucifer, the Messiah and not the Antimessiah, and all these imitations that are constantly called, instead of the morality of amoral, insted the freedom of self-will and chaos, instead of order , Big Brother -hordes, instead of institutions anarchy, instead of ecological food Gmo etc. So now you choose! The first man wanted to be God Himself instead of Only God, insted order desoder, insted moral amoral and so on ! And so he did the fruit of disobedience and became what he was eating! -alone in itself dualistic-dualism. Thus he fell into disorder of freedom in self-indulgence from life in grace to helplessness and alienation. The truth is always the same as in the moral order: It's just as in the case of over-signs that are equally valid for all, and if we respect them, we will reach the goal.
Sadly elohem is confused with devine councel among many who dont see elohim as the essence of god . And they Read it as if its many God's talking to many gods. Reading it in context of" spirit of God. " "Angel of God " ominous most high only begotten God full form whatever this maybe . Father Son Holy spirit God Jesus Holy spirit. Speaking to a devine councel Its 5 meaning to the word elohim .in this context its not how we use single word God to define all his attributes both physical or spiritual in one singular word Elohim is refreshing all his essence and attributes as many more than 1 for us Christians its great news the trinity plus right here . Yet it is also convening as a and to a divine councel .
Psalm 82 expalined Heiser brings Polythiesim into Psalm 82 in his teaching and is in error. Psalm 89 is a vision in Heaven, while Psalm 82 is on the earth. Psalm 89 has no connection to Psalm 82. Heiser uses Psalm 89 with his teaching on Psalm 82. Psalm 89 is more in line with Revelation 4 and the 24 Elders. The 24 Elders as Adopted, Faithful, Patriarchs, Judges or maybe even kings of the OT. Plus Psalm 89 is written by a different Prophet, Ethan. Psalm 82 was written by Asaph. Both are inspired by God. When it mentions the scripture cannot be broken is about the God of the OT is the same God in the NT in the person of Jesus. The Three persons of God as One and the Same God. Bascially the Father in the OT and the Son in the NT, still the same God. John 10: 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)" Notice in the this verse mentions the "word of God" Jesus Links himself to the same God that spoken thru the Prophet Asaph in Psalm 82. Psalm 82 is for the Jews and directed to the Jews. The Jews received the word of God from Prophets as well as the law. The word of God and the law was for the Jews that is the Divine council. Heiser's Divine Council theory is sensationalism, meaning he is not accurate. Where most fail, like Heiser is they do not expand on the “word” of the Lord in 3 forms. The “word” of the Lord would come to Prophets like Asaph who wrote Psalm 82. First the “word” was either “Spoken” and Second the “word” was written, this is how the scripture is given, so this is TWO forms of the “word” of the Lord. The Third form is in Jesus, since we are looking at Psalm 82 and John 10, we know that John is the Inspired Author for the Gospel of John. John wrote in John 1:14 “14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” This is how the scripture cannot be broken, linking the OT with the NT with the same God. Heiser and others like him aslo fail because they do not explain the Godhead/Trinity. Jesus is God as the person as the Son. There are THREE Persons of God within the Godhead....Father, Son, and Holy Spirit>>>The Godhead/Trinity. The problem with most scholars and students of the Bible is that they do not expand on the 3 persons of God, who are the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as well as the word/Word>>>>>Spoken, Writen, and Flesh. The other failure is explaining the gods of the OT of Psalm 82 and the gods of the NT John 10. Jesus answers the question on who the Psalm 82 gods are in John 10. Jesus quotes and repeats what God the Father had spoken thru the Inspired Prophet Asaph, Again Asaph wrote in Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” Jesus says in John 10:34 “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” Here in John 10:34 Jesus links himself to the same God (Father) in Psalm 82. The phrase and title given "you are gods" is a legalistic title of Authority because the Jews were given the Law. The Jews were given the Law and 10 commandments to govern them and council them, so it is imposible for this to be nonhuman spirit beings or angels. God also established covenants with Humans, not nonhuman spirit beings or angels. For the Jews their Religion and Governig was together, not like the USA where there is a seperation of church and state. Jesus says in 10: 34 “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” Asaph wrote in Psalm 78 the Jews having the law. Psalm 78: 9 The men of Ephraim, though armed with bows, turned back on the day of battle 10 they did not keep God’s covenant and refused to live by his law." In Psalm 78 is more of a reminder chapter for the nation of Isarel. In John 10 Jesus is equating Himself to the same God in Psalm 82, Jesus uses an "I said" statement. Let's focus in on the words Jesus uses,. He uses an ‘I said”. The “I said” stament is no different than an “I am” statement. The “I am” statemanets and “I said” statement of Jesus in the Gospel of John are really one and the same. These are not metaphors; rather, they are declarations of God’s name, as applied by Jesus to Himself. The first instance of an “I am” comes as Jesus responds to a complaint by the Pharisees. “I tell you the truth,” Jesus says, “before Abraham was born, I am!” (John 8:58). The verbs Jesus uses are in stark contrast with each other: Abraham was, but I am. There is no doubt that the Jews understood Jesus’ claim to be the eternal God incarnate, because they took up stones to kill Him (verse 59 that would be blasphemy to the Jews because Jesus made Himself out to be God). The same logic is applied to John 10:35, Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” which directly comes from Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.” A person can clearly see in Psalm 82 and in John 10 it would be Jews being addressed, not nonhuman spirit beings or angels, like some promote, which Mr. Heiser is Huge on, this made him famous. Heiser is a blind teacher. Smart on Hebrew language and how to speak (Very Inticing and Luring), But bad on Application and Interpretation. Heiser Ignores In John 10 and Psalm 82 1. The law (Authority for the Jews and Jewish Elders/Judges) Also see In Exodus 22:8 & 9 here is where a person can find how the role of these Elders/Judges ("gods" or "elohim), established by Moses. The law was given to Moses. 2. The prophet (Asaph wrote Psalm 82) 3. The " I said" (word/Word of the Lord Written/Spoken thru Prophets in OT Revealed in NT Word bacame Flesh>>>>Jesus/Son). 4. Linking OT Scripture with NT Scripture (Scripture cannot be broken). 5. Psalm 82 and John 10 are directed to Jews, NOT Polythiesm nonhuman spirit being or angels like Mr. Heiser promotes. 6. Explainig the Godhead/Trinity as always existed even before creation, Father, Son, Holy Spirit are THREE persons of ONE and the SAME God, 7. Expalining since the Jews had this law of God and from God, Puts them in a High level of Authority to Judge and carry out the law of God and represent God, but they will die like men becasue they do a poor job of representing God and the law. Psalm 82 6 & 7 NKJV, "I said, “You are ‘gods’; you are all sons of the Most High.”7 But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.’ ESV I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you, nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.” This is also a huge argument with Hieser and his followers, but is decieving and many are mislead on Heiser's teaching. Man (mortal/flesh) is under the Curse of death, becasue sin leads to death. The Curse happed in Genesis 3 and the fall of man. Romans 5: 12 "Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned" Also since God created man from the ground and dies, so man retrurns to the ground. Genesis 3: 17-19 To Adam he said, ‘Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, “You must not eat from it, ‘Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken, for dust you are and to dust you will return.’ Very clear since they die like men it is fitting these men return to the ground from which man (mortal/flesh) came and fall like every ruler/prince (mortal/flesh). God has the Supreme Authority and Rule over the Jews and the whole earth and all rullers. Heiser blindly uses replacement theology with the rulers/princes he replaces the mortal/flesh with nonhuman/spirits that is where Ploytheism comes into play with his teaching. Again, Very poor on Interpreatation and Application.Another huge problem with Heiser is he is not Solo Scripture and does not let Scripture define Scripture. Another note in Psalm 82 :6 "you are all sons of the Most High". The word "sons" is used, meaning this is Adopted sons, not nonhuman/spirits or angels. That is also replacement theology, Heiser replaces Jews who are his Chosen peole, His Adopted with nonhuman/spirits or angels>>>>>>>Polytheism. Have to remember the Jews were given the law and had Authority to judge and rule, not nonhuman/spirits or angels. Nonhuman/spirits or angels were never given the law. Jesus says John 10:34 “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods". The gods are the Jews, Jesus answers the question of the gods of Psalm 82. Even expanding with the verses following in John 10 Jesus the Son kept Linking Himself to God the Father of the OT (Psalm 82). 36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, “I am God’s Son”? 37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.’ 39 Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp. The final thought NKJV Psalm 82: 1 "God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods." ESV God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: How God stands is by His word, that was given to Asaph and Spoken and Writen by God thru the Prophet Asaph in Psalm 82 for and to the Jews, as well as todays Bible readers. So this is figuratively, not literally. How the is fulfilled prophetically and literally with Jesus as the Word become Flesh standing amoungst the Jews as God the Son.
Why do you make reference to species, I dont think it could be said of a specific species but one of a kind, God is the only God, other are lesser created heavenly ruling hosts.
You can back what you said as a truth with scripture on a broad scale. What you find in the original language is that your understanding and perspective of that truth will be very off.
The word begotten translated is better described unique. So for John 3:16 it isn't excluding other sons, but Jesus is YHWH. Remember: "if you have seen me, you have seen the Father" "I and the father are one" And so on. I hope this helps
Psalms 82 speaks of the children of Israel as being elohim or any man that Elohim let's rule over Israel such as Neberkeneser. In which, Neberkeneser is referred to as King of Kings in Daniel 2 which Yaahoshua(Jesus) is later referred to in Revelations. Psalm 89 refers to the heavenly divine council, declares David as an elohim and is a prophecy for the Messiah reffering to 2 Samuel:7-14. Remember Yahosua(jesus) quoted this back to the pharisees when they stated, Yahoshua blasphemies by calling himself thee son of Elohim. Yahoshua retorts back doesn't the Law say they are Elohim John:33-36 (but not Yah). Yet, you probably don't know that Yah is Elohim name during the bronze age in the land of Cannan and was what Israelites called him as well. You are not an Exegete. Level 1 at best
YAHWEH IS JUST PROUD AND JELOUS, if he was unique that being wouldn’t be jealous of the others, Elohim are a species of extraterrestrial beings, the one called Yahweh is just one among them. But with a very jealous and demonic personality
OK, I'm 2mins into this. I am sure that you know that Elohim means strong leaders, plural. Why would the scribes use Elohim and not El, or better yet YHWH? Just always wondered about this. I know Heavenly Father and I believe in Jesus Christ fully and completely. That being said, there is much going on throughout the Bible that doesn't make sense to me unless you include works such as the Book of Enoch and Jasher, Jubilees, 2nd Esdra, The Gospel of Philip, Judas, the Apocalypse of Peter, The Book of Shem......so much Scripture,so little time. With God all things are possible. I know that the first 4 books I mentioned are inspired and should/& or used to be in the 1600s KJV. I have found that these help fill in the gaps that are missing from the Book given to us by the Roman Catholic Empire. I wonder why they hate so called Gnostic text. Thanks for your time and energy out into this video, I just really would like to hear what you and others think about the use of Elohim/El/YHWH and it's use. Thanks
The Only IMAGE of God as EVIDENCE as TRINITY !!! The Word of God is not created as opposed to creatures! No words -plural as words og gods ! But Word is a singular! That's the difference! To understand, EHAD had to find the context before that! That's why he writes that man was created on the IMAGE -singular! Let repeat ! IMAGE of GOD is Singular !! So, picture as a singular rather than a picture -plural ! However, the image carries Ehad the meaning in male-female (as One God )relationship as images of eternal love! And it's a spell of marriage and family: Picture Families are number three! Number three comes from number two! However, God here is always the same in this unique relationship within Himself as a Person in the Highest sense !! When God speaks, that is when he is identified he then speaks as one Word: I am (JHVH) ! I am-- identifying a person as an identity card Persons ! However, there is no person without another person! So The Only Father canot be without Only Son ! Father is Father becouse of Son ! It is the causal relationship between the relationship and the same condition. In this case, the relationship between the love of the Father and the Son associated with the love of the Spirit in the image of a male female that connects the INVISIBLE SPIRIT. There is God Name and not name and even less surname! So, there is a clear distinction between the Creator and the created order! Let's not forget that heaven is also created, as well as the throne in heaven! And before that is the name of Isaiah 6 The name that is constantly celebrated three times with no pretense! From this we see and understand the relationship of the three who have the same name as JHVH but also found in the Post and as separate and separate (Ehad and combinations of God's terms).
So people don't fall for the false pagan Trinity doctrines which goes against Yah's First commandment! Trinity is a man made doctrine started with Philo of Alexandria it a Gnostic
@@Zipfreer Obviously those who read the bible are not literate !! Man was created in the image of God as an image in the sense of the pictorial meaning of the relationship of the Love of a man and a woman, because God is the Eternal lunatic and the being of communication! Who does God talk to when he creates man and tones his image ?? God writes and said not gods in the plural and does not say said the gods Because there is one Word of God who speaks within himself as a being of communication: Let us make (plural) man in our image: Besides Image and not images in plural !! There are no two images of God but One because there is One God and this image depicts the male-female relationship, the image of Love which is fullness and not without fruit, and thus the image of the Triune God as the One God is the image of the family. The relationship between the Father and the One Uncreated Son is a mystery of intimacy that is hidden from eternity as a mystery, that is, the mystery of the Messiah that people seek and long for Salvation and foretell is lai ge even then (Old Testament) came! The love between the Father and the Son in the intimacy of the dignity of the invisible Spirit is the Name and not the name or surname. And That is why this Name is constantly consecrated three times in heaven, because it testifies to the mystery of the Triune God! The Father is not the First chronologically: he is the First but only as the Father and there is no Father always and eternal without the Son always and eternal! And you become the Father at the moment of conceiving your son, and not before that, the child was conceived by two and thus creates the community of Troy in the image of God! For God as the Triune image of the isosceles triangle in the creation of the perceptor himself bends the image below creating the image of the isosceles triangle that strives to connect with his image above and so the two triangles merge into One as David's six-pointed star !! But the unwritten are not able to understand even the minimum, even though it has been revealed before their eyes.
Turn your thoughts inward not outward. Find the Light-Soul within. Know that your are the Master. All else is brought from within. Grow to realms of brightness. Hold you your thought on the Light. Know you are one with the Cosmos, a flame and a Child of the Light. Now to you I give warning: Let not your thought turn away. Know that the brightness flows through your body for ever. Turn not to the Dark-Brightness that comes from the Brothers of Black. But keep your eyes ever lifted, your soul in tune with the Light.

Psalm 82 Explanation His words as God (Father and Son) . "You are gods" is used twice in scripture, once in Psalm 82 verse 6 and once in John 10 verse 34. This is a similarity because it is the words of God spoken through the prophet Asaph in Psalm 82 and then again said again by Jesus the son of God in John 10. Both accounts this is the "word" of God (Father and Son). The Jews, God was referred to as Yahweh in Hebrew. Another use in Hebrew is Elohim (God), Jesus name in Hebrew is Yeshua. God in Greek is "Theos". Psalm 82: 6 " I said, “You gods, And all of you children of the Most High. The word "gods" is lower case meaning elohim. I said, “You are gods>>>>>>God the Father "words" speaking through the prophet Asaph. Asaph a “seer” or prophet. The word of the Lord would come to prophets in the Old Testament and God would speak through the prophet. John 1 14 " The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." God would speak the "Word" through a prophet like Asaph in Psalm 82, in the NT the "Word" was spoken by God incarnate in the flesh by Jesus in John 10. John 10: 34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),>>>>>>Jesus the Son speaking as God in the flesh. Jesus repeats what the Fathers words "You are gods" from Psalm 82:6 that were spoken and written by Asaph the prophet. When the text says "You are gods" is directed to humans not angels or spiritual beings in both Psalm 82 and John 10, very clear. The "gods" (elohim) are Jewish officials that are in the position to rule and judge certain matters with in the nation of Israel, they are to represent the law and God. God instructing Moses certain men in Israel to be judges, rulers, or elders ("gods" or "elohim). Psalm 82 1 God stands in the congregation of the mighty; 5 They do not know, nor do they understand; He judges among the gods. They walk about in darkness; 2 How long will you judge unjustly, All the foundations of the earth are unstable. And show partiality to the wicked? Selah 6 I said, “You are gods, 3 Defend the poor and fatherless; And all of you are children of the Most High. Do justice to the afflicted and needy. 7 But you shall die like men, 4 Deliver the poor and needy; And fall like one of the princes.” Free them from the hand of the wicked. 8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; For You shall inherit all nations Psalm 82 with commentary Psalm 82 is also written Poetically by Asaph. The Psalm would have even been sung throughout Israel. 1 God (Elohim) stands in the congregation of the mighty; (divine council, great assembly) He judges among the gods. (elohim>>>judges, rulers, and elders with in the Nation of Israel) Note: when God "stands" and" judges" this is by the spoken/written word of the prophet Asaph, because the word of the Lord would come to prophets in the OT.)
2 How long will you judge unjustly, And show partiality to the wicked? Selah 3 Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. 4 Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked. 5 They do not know, nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are unstable. ( Verses 2-5 Is directed to Jewish elders and Is a court setting , where the courts were intended as the place where the needy could find justice, but they were not fulfilling this responsibility. They are judging unjustly and are favoring the wicked, they are being questioned and scolded. These verses could also be applied to Pharisees in the time of Jesus, basically bad rulers/elders, not representing God or the law.)
6a I said, “You are gods, (((Father's "words spoken and written by the prophet Asaph who wrote Psalm 82 ">>>>>Son's "words" addressing Pharisees who are Jewish rulers/elders a certain sect at the time of Jesus. John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken). Israel was made up of 12 tribes or 12 nations, the nation of Israel was given the law. Also in John 10 34-35 Jesus is claiming to be equal and is God when He said....'I said "You are gods". The “I said” is really no different then an “ I am” that is mentioned in the Gospel of John. There are 7 "I am" that Jesus spoke in the Gospel of John. Note: Looking back at verse Psalm 82 verse 1, since God "stands" this is the prophetic fulfillment with Jesus (God in the flesh/word become flesh>>>>John 1) as the Son of God would literally stand before Jewish rulers/elders the Pharisees, since Psalm 82 is written by the prophet Asaph a seer. Jesus also stands before Pharisees in John 8 scolding them (saying they are of their father, the devil), scolding like in Psalm 82. Even looking at a few verses before John 10: 34-35 Jesus says in John 10: 30 "30 I and My Father are one.” This means what it says Jesus the Son is ONE with the Father as God. John 8 42-44 "Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own for he is a liar and the father of it." Psalm Verse 6 mentions "You are gods," This is verse is Paralleling verse 1 "in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:" The gods in both verses 1 and 6 are "gods" or "elohim" are the magistrates, judges, and other people who hold positions of authority and rule within the nation of Israel. Why is because these authoritative officials of Israel has the Law to Judge. Psalm 82 verse 6 also Parallel's John 10: 34 John 10: 34 "Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? Psalm 82 6a "I said, “You are gods,"))) Verse 6b cont. And all of you are children of the Most High. (The children of the Most High are Israel, Jesus the Messiah is to come through them) 7 But you shall die like men, (referring to those bad elders, rulers and judges with High Authority, they favor the wicked and judge unjustly, they do not follow through with their responsibilities, duties, and do not represent God or the law, these High Officials are just men, they have High Rank so they will die like men) And fall like one of the princes. (referring to earthly rulers or even angels, satan is the prince of the power of the air Ephesians 2:2, even Israel in Hebrew means prince of God, Israel had many princes )
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; (God is the supreme Judge) For You shall inherit all nations (God inherits the nations by Jesus the son, Jesus is the coming King)
There is a dual play in the prophecy. No different than Joel 2 being quoted to refer to the time of the apostles which is clearly about the day of the Lord, and then Paul returning right back in other epistles and saying that was not there yet.
Wrong! Jesus also quoted this scripture. And in context , the Jews accuse Him of blasphemy because He said He and the Father were One. They accused Him of claiming to be God. But Jesus quoted Palms 82 to compare Himself to the “god” God was rebuking. He said “If he called them ‘gods’ unto WHOM THE WORD OF CAME....” In other words God called these beings “gods” even though they were flawed, not following God’s commands concerning justice for the poor and needy and not helping the fatherless. The word Elohim (God) can also mean “judges”. It was the Judges of Israel that God was judging, not heavenly creatures in heaven.
As always your on target Although you made strong evidence that the counsel are god's Yet you have no knowledge of who these gods are Some people say the counsel is God, Jesus, Holy Spirit Others say it's the Palladian Yet you leave this question opened
Mike, I like the content. I think it's interesting and helpful. But when I started to share your content with my family, I felt uncomfortable and stopped in the middle and just summarized the rest. I think it's because you come across as having an attitude toward somebody. I guess toward other understandings that you are trying to correct. But the comments, like calling the ESV a "cheater translation" and stuff like that seems like a problem. I think you could be more gracious, still faithful to the truth, and it would be better.
Bene Elim.....is SONS of the mighty(God) NOT heavenly beings.....the fact that such a scholar is deliberately translating the text incorrectly in order to further there incorrect belief is alarming.
@@garlandjones7709 ‘There there now’ , just a little ‘lite’ on the subject , not trying to disagree - yet it seems ‘ no one around here’ can “really know” , for a number of reasons , what is the ‘final factual blessED truth’ of the meanings of such words when we are in fact unable to known what was “first written” and whether it was able to convey the meaning of something that was 'spoken' in a conversation with those who are now listening to a 21st century news event (like a ‘war’) on numerous audio devices around the world and commented upon by opposing views. Heiser has said he’s compared multiple transcripts and found different words used , and who can know which one is “ truly correct “ ? Has a newer “copy” created a new meaning through the ignorance of the context of the older 'talks' ? How many ‘ scholars ‘ were as influenced by Milton and Dante as they were by their ‘their’ ?
@@termikesmike I didn't know if you wanted me to correct something, or if you were challenging me in the sense that it would be foolish. There are many things that can be known regarding the language. The reason why is multiple uses of phrases and words in several different manuscripts. Knowing which is original can be known too in many cases. Maybe not all, at the moment. But this man was concerned with what a phrase meant and what Heiser was doing with it. I've not watched this video in a while but I will review it now to make sure I'm not missing anything. Now I do agree with your questioning of context. I'll respond back shortly with what I mean. I don't want to miss the context of your question before relistening to Heisers video. But this has been done in history to my knowledge. However, I've not noticed it in ancient Hebrew writings, but have noticed it in mishnaic Hebrew midrashic literature where the rabbis have done it. This is ALARMING to me for handfuls of reasons and NOBODY talks about it or questions HOW it can happen. Within the church, it's easy to understand how it happened.
Heiser sure loves his goofy theory of the divine council, he gets this nonsense from Psalm 82. Heiser NEVER explains the "Job Description" of prophets in the Old Testament. Most people are even unaware of who wrote Psalm 82. Asaph the Prophet writes ESV Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” When a person read it in the original Hebrew, and you will see the difference between Yahweh as Elohim above all Elohim and the council itself as a lower classification of elohim. Jesus answers the lower classification of elohim (gods) in John 10: 34 35. John the Disciple/Apsotle writes Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), The lower class of elohim (gods) in Psalm 82 are human NOT non human/angels like Heiser promotes. WHY because the word of the Lord came to Prophets, God Spoke thru Prophets to the nation of Israel/Jews (Human). The Jews were also given the Law and had the Prophets. NO nonhuman/angel is ever referred to as a Prophet in scripture or were given the Law, Of course angels are messengers in scripture, but that is it. This is the "Job Description" of a prophet like Asaph who wrote Psalm 82. The Law and Holy Scriptures were given to the nation of Israel/Jews NOT to non humans/angels. How God takes His place in the divine council is by the Prophet Asaph who wrote Psalm 82 and by the Law which was given to the Nation of Israel. What is KEY is that a Prophet of God like Asaph carried and handled the words of the Lord God, Prophets were the VOICE of God that is why it is IMPORTANT that Jesus Repeats and Fulfills these words...... Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” ........John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," Notice there is a lot happening with the words Jesus uses John 10 1. Verse 34, Jesus says....... "Is it not written in your law">>>>>This tells us that Jesus is addressing Humans (Pharisees/Rulers/Jews) in John 10. The Jews/nation of Israel was given the Law, which would be the Law of Moses. 2. Verse 34, Jesus says...... "I said" "You are gods". What the "I said" is, is a declaration of Jesus as God. The "I said" is not different than an "I am" declaration", Jesus is God and is the Son of God. Another point with the "I said" of Jesus is that He is REPEATING this from the Old Testament which is found in Psalm 82, this is not just a mere qoute of Jesus, but an REPEAT of what God spoke thru the prophet Asaph........... Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” Since Jesus is God and is addressing HUMANS in John 10 and is REPEATING what God said when He spoke thru the prophet Asaph in Psalm 82, that means the "gods/elohim" in Psalm 82 are also HUMAN (Judges.Rulers.Jews), Jesus Literally answers the question of the "gods/elohim" in Psalm 82. NOTE: ESV uses "divine council" other translations use "congregation of the mighty" or "great assembly". 3. Verse 35. "If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"....Here again "gods" is used which refer to Humans (Judge/Pharisees/Rulers/Jews). Notice the text also says..."to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), This again goes back to the Old Testament, because God would speak thru prophets in the Old Testament, like Asaph who wrote Psalm 82. Asaph was the "Voice" of God to the Jews, like all prophets in the Old Testament are the "Voice" of God. 4. So when a person puts the "gods/elohim" in Psalm 82 and who God is adresseing thru the prophet Asaph>>>>>>>Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” Now you apply Jesus and the "gods" He is adressing in John 10>>>>>>>John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"...........A person can CLEARLY see that the "gods/elohim" are HUMAN in both Psalm 82 and John 10. God Inspires and Lifts up Prophets in the Old Testament so Jesus can FULFILL what is written and spoken in the Old Testament Fulfilled by Jesus in the New Testament. Jesus holds the answer of the "gods" (lower class elohim/gods), they are human in both Psalm 82 and John 10. What Heiser does is that he opposes Jesus in trying to answer the question on who the gods/elohim are in Psalm 82. Heiser throughs Jesus under the bus on his explantion of Psalm 82. Heiser is a blind teacher teaching in darkness, without the Light of Christ, Jesus tells us in scripture on who these "gods/elohim" are, long before Heiser even walked this earth. Just let the prophet Asaph be the "Voice" of God so Jesus can repeat and fulfill what was spoken and written in the Old Testament. Even Isaiah the prophet who wrote Isaiah 53 was the "Voice" of God in the Old Testament, so Jesus can Fulfill what was said in Isaiah 53.....Isaiah 53 is about the Crucifixion of Christ. Aslo Psalm 89 has NOTHING to do with Psalm 82. Hieser likes to mix those chapters together.
There are no disembodied dead mentioned anywhere in scripture, where do you guys get this nonsense? This is plain and simple bad theology. The Bible said "man returns to the ground and the breath returns to God who gave it", "the day you died even our thoughts perish" Scripture also said "the dead knows nothing", the dead simply sleep the sleep of dead awaiting the resurrection.
@@termikesmike That was not Samuel but an evil Spirit pretending to Samuel. Witches can not summon or communicate with the dead but rather they are in contact with Satan, demons and devils.
Interesting... But god himself never said he was a spiritual being ! Not one verse says that ! Men have attributed god to be a spirit...every instant in the bible about god says he is a physical being not spiritual... His "sons of god" raped woman and had children which means their father had to be a physical being also. Heaven is also no a spiritual place. Heaven is described as a city with a throne which god sits on and judges from. A throne is a physical object...spirits done sit down ! Why ? Does a spirit have legs ? Lol cmon now... In genesis it says God walked through the garden and his feet felt the coolness of the ground....spirits don't have feet ? And the only way he knew it was cool means he has a body temperature hotter than the ground ! Blood ? God also ate with Abraham at his tent and was physically tired in which Abraham took notice and asked god to sit under the shade of a tree and washed his feet with water !!! God is a physical being...an alien who created us...heaven is a couple things...a planet, a city on that planet, and or an orbiting mother ship spaceship outside earths atmosphere that he can go to back and forth between planet heaven and earth !!! Now let's debate lol
Mike Evans everything you just said is literally a fabrication you made up to fit your own philosophies. They didn't rape anyone. They were willingly with the Fallen Angels. If you studied context and biblical literature then you will read that the same word for "consent to marry" was used when they "took" themselves wives.
Gabriel Hernandez the fact still remains...these angels and god are physical beings with physical humanlike desires...which means that lie the bible tells that we were gods only creation with free will is a lie also ! The bible lies... Not all lies but its still fabrications and stolen stories from previous cultures....the god that created us is flesh the god who created him is who the true god is
Mike Evans you have any links or references from credited scholars and people who can literally trace these things back to their beginnings? What lies could the Bible be telling? You aware that there is a spiritual and non spiritual realm? Meaning that when in our realm these Devine beings become flesh. I don't know where you get these ideas that Scripture lies. No where in the entire Bible does it contradict itself.
Israel are the "gods" in Psalm 82, the "gods" are human NOT nonhuman like this Heiser guy promoted. Psalm 89 has nothing to do with Psalm 82 Israel was unique from the pagan nations that surrounded them, Israel had the law of God, 10 commandment, prophets and a Levitical priesthood. Since Israel had the law of God, it put Israel in the position of being "gods," becuase God chose them, Israel was God's chosen people. Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," 1. >>>>"I said, “You are gods” >>>>>ONCE by the God (Father) in Psalm 82. Aspaph is the Author and Psalmist of Psalm 82. Prophets of the Old Testament like Asaph the "word of the Lord" would come to Prophets like Asaph. Prophets were the "Voice" of God. God (Father) would communicate His words through the prophets, God does that here in Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;">>>>>>>>Israel, Psalm 82 uses the word "all". This clearly is not about a bunch of watchers/super angels of a divine council. The Psalms were written to and for Israel. 2. SECOND time Jesus in John 10: 34 Repeats >>>> ‘I said, “You are gods”
Not sure who you are responding too. No where in this video or any of Michael's published work does he make the claim you just made! This is known as a strawman fallacy! Christians should make every attempt not to misrepresent other people and then attack there own misrepresentations. The religious leaders tried the same approach on Jesus. It is manipulative and can stumble those who have not been trained intellectually. If you have a question about how this presentation ties to the presentation of the gospel then ask it and many of the commenters who have engaged Dr. Heiser's work will respond.
@@heavensarmiesmarc From Heiser's Chapter 1 Unseen Realm "One such moment in my own life-the catalyst behind this book-came on a Sunday morning in church while I was in graduate school.

Hmm...? Paul commended the Bereans, why? Jesus continues to give well thought out "knockdown" arguments to the various religious groups if his day. The Early Church Father's followed the Apostle Paul's directive to study to show oneself approved. For 1800 years the Church has studied and worked to understand the Gospel Jesus and the authors of the NT died so that we could study it. Ad you say "Nevermind!" That is not the Holy Spirit telling you that my friend. It is not flesh and blood that revealed it to you. The shallowness of socalled "PREACH THE GOSPEL ONLY," crowd has been destroying the gospel and refusing to make disciples since the 1830s. Grow up into the likeness of the Christ you preach. Put away the crayons and engage in conversation with those in your culture who are far off. Jesus never shouted down his opponents. Deuteronomy 32 Genesis 6 sons of God Explained!! No such thing as a divine coucnil like Heiser claimed. False Teaching!! Heiser is correct when he said it should be sons of God in Deuteronomy 32:8. Heiser was a word guy the Hebrew would be >>>>(בני האלהים, bənê hāʼĕlōhîm>"Remember the days of old". Since Mose wrote Torah, the first 5 books of the Bible, which are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. These "days of old" that Moses mention in verse 7, what Moses is doing is taking the reader back to the Pre-flood time period. Taking Verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) Can 100% be applied as "sons of God" in Deuteronomy 32:8 as well as Genesis 5 and sons of God in Genesis 6. All makes sense and fits with the Author of Torah who is Moses. The argument is, is that there No Abrahamic covenant yet, that is 100% true when a person applies verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) it is more clear and plain to see who the "sons of God" are in both Deuteronomy 32:8 and Genesis 6 Nations are named after a father in scripture. Abraham is considered a father. Jacob (Israel) is the father of the twelve tribes. Explaining sons of Israel. Exodus 4:22 says "Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son". God is speaking to Moses in this passage, also this is another book of Torah. The passage of scripture of the name change for Jacob to Israel Genesis 32:28 "Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.” Israel (Jacob) had 12 sons which would be 12 tirbes with Many Generations. Getting back to Exodus 4:22 says "Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son". Since Israel was the "firstborn son" to the Lord God, which would means Israel/Jacobs offspring would be "sons of God" or also to say "children of Israel" The twelve tribes are as follows: Reuben, Simeon, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Ephraim and Manasseh. See how many Generations came from Isreal (Jacob) Even the following verses of how the "Text" allows for "sons of Israel" . Deuteromony 32:9 'But the Lord's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage. 10 “He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him" Clearly verses 9 and 10 is talking about the "sons of Israel" which would be Jacob's 12 sons/tribes, key words in the text Jacob alotted heritage (Israel). "The Lord's portion is his people" Israel was the Lord's Chosen people The 12 tribes were the ones wondering in the desert land which verse 10 is talking about. That is WHY there is such a debate in the text, both sons of God and children of Israel had "Many Generations". Heiser's divine council of super angels Can Not or Do Not have "Many Generations" Even looking at Psalm 82:6 "I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;" The word "sons" is used in the Plurality, which would be referencing that the "sons" are human pretaining to the 12 tribes of Israel (Jacob's sons). The word "gods" Jesus answers that in John 10 also human. Heiser taught gods/elohim and sons are non human, Psalm 82 is his foundation for his false divine council of super angels. These 12 tirbes (Israel) had the Law of God to govern the people. Elders/Rulers/Judges (gods/elohim/divine council) were part of that governing authority. Nothing angelic (Nonhuman) could govern the people. So naturally Humans are getting scolded in Psalm 82, not anything Nonhuman like angels or spirit beings of a divine council. The "divine council" are the Chosen people of God who given the Law of God. Also had the True Prophets of God. The proper way of interpreting the scripture of Deuteronomy 32:8 whether it should be sons of God or children of Israel? Well which came first the Patriarchs/sons of God, of Genesis 5 and 6 or 12 tribes of Israel, of course it would be the Patriarchs/sons of God which are listed in Genesis 5 with "Many Generations" the longivity of life spans that they would have seen "Many Generations" and did lived old ages. This is ALL in Context, Context Is King!! Have to remember when scripture was first written there were no chapter breaks or verse breaks, that was added later in English Translations of scipture. Small summary, Moses tells us who the sons of God are with Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations in verse 7 would be Applied to sons of God. Deuteronomy 32 7 Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you. 8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. Clearly this is NOT about a divine council of super angels. This Heiser guy did NOT understand verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) or Context applied with proper Hermeneutics. He WAS a Blind and False Teacher of scripture when it came to Application, but he was correct in the Translaton of the words sons of God in Deuteronomy 32:8.
Ram

The Only IMAGE of invesible God as EVIDENCE of TRINITY !!

They're not limited to the heavens, biblically . They are very much linked between the two. No matter where there "home" is
It is where sky meets earth, Torah was, is, and will Be, as heaven is said comes to earth.

You don't find God by looking on the exterior but from within
Pinpointing intentional translational errors is earthly
Then you pay the debt.
thank you
I'm praying for Dr. Heiser.
Why?
There is no one like I Am/YHWH/Jehovah. He is Infinite.
Heiser was a blind guide. He was correct in God/Elohim capital "G" and gods/elohim lower case "g" but his application was all wrong.
From Heiser's Chapter 1 Unseen Realm
"One such moment in my own life-the catalyst behind this book-came on a Sunday morning in church while I was in graduate school. I was chatting with a friend who, like me, was working on a PhD in Hebrew studies, killing a few minutes before the service started. I don’t recall much of the conversation, though I’m sure it was something about Old Testament theology. But I’ll never forget how it ended. My friend handed me his Hebrew Bible, open to Psalm 82 He said simply, “Here, read that … look at it closely.”
The first verse hit me like a bolt of lightning:
Psalm 82:1
God stands in the divine assembly;
he administers judgment in the midst of the gods
I’ve indicated the Hebrew wording that caught my eye and put my heart in my throat. There it was, plain as day: The God of the Old Testament was part of an assembly-a pantheon-of other gods."
>>>>Okay this is from Heiser’s book the “Unseen Realm” Chapter 1 in his opening of this book. Let’s look at dictionary definiton for the word “pantheon”
1) a group of particularly respected, famous, or important people: somewhat formal : a group of people who are famous or important
"the pantheon of the all-time greats"
example: a building in which the illustrious dead of a nation are buried or honoured.
2) all the gods of a people or religion collectively: the gods of a particular country or group of people
"the deities of the Hindu pantheon"
(especially in ancient Greece and Rome) a temple dedicated to all the gods.
Yes it is. It's a God patheon in a literal realm called heaven
1 Sam 23 does not necessarily preclude predestination- the yes/no answers may refer to THE PERSON'S HEART rather than the future as such

"The Elohim are set over the council of El, among the Elohim he judges."
It is my understanding that the many teachings of this verse have the presupposition that the "many" *DO NOT* "council" to the one. This insight may be important in the future.
It helps to *REMEMBER* what Yithro said, Mosheh's father-in-law, about judging the "people".
Melchizedek is Jesus Christ

What is that bible software called and where can I get it?
+l3ertuz He uses Logos Bible Software which is Expensive, quick google search to find, and also net.bible.org which is free.

I don't agree with the middle knowlege part.
No mention of the Gospel of John 10: 31to 39, which helps put Psalm 82 in context....strange!
If you read Hebrew John 10 doesnt put it into perspective at all. It's being applied conceptually to emphasize a point.

Good points. Michael has an agenda and bending the script to his own interpretation.

what software is he using for the bible readings?
Not sure where Heiser thinks in Psalm 82 that this is about angels, spiritual beings or even sons of God. Heiser is either blind or he is opposing to what Jesus says in John 10. First lets look at Psalm 82.
^
^
Psalm 82:1 God has taken his place in the divine council;
in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:
2 “How long will you judge unjustly
and show partiality to the wicked?
^
^
Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods,
And all of you are children of the Most High.
7 But you shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes
^
^
The divine council In Psalms 82:1 is also referred to as the congregation of the mighty or the great assembly.
^
^
Psalm 82: 6-7
I said, “You are gods,
And all of you are children of the Most High.
"But you shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes.”
^
^
Psalm Verse 6 mentions "You are gods," This is verse is Paralleling verse 1 "in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:" The gods in both verses 1 and 6 are "gods" or "elohim" are the magistrates, judges, and other people who hold positions of authority and rule within the nation of Israel. Why is because these authoritative officials of Israel has the Law to Judge.
When verse 7 says you shall die like men, the verse literally means men. I suggest googling the word "Israel". Israel is a Hebrew name....names have meanings in the Bible. If you look up Israel and the Hebrew meaning of the name you will find Israel means "Prince of God"
Israel was made up of 12 tribes meaning that Israel would be "Princes", that is how you get the plurality in verse 7.
^
^
Also in Psalm 82 when God takes his place in the divine council (congregation of the mighty or the great assembly) is with a prophet. Can not forget Asaph. Asaph wrote Psalm 50 and 73-83 are called the “Psalm of Asaph”
Asaph a “seer” or prophet. The word of the Lord would come to prophets in the Old Testament and God would speak through the prophet.
^
^
God instructing Moses certain men in Israel to be Judges and Elders ("gods" or "elohim). This is in the Law from God. A Divine Council, Congregation of the Mighty or the Great Assembly
Exodus 18 25-26
And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the
people: rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers
of tens. 26 So they judged the people at all times; the hard
cases they brought to Moses, but they judged every small case themselves.
^
^
In Exodus 22:8 & 9 here is where a person can find how the role of these Judges ("gods" or "elohim).
Exodus 22: “8 If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought to the JUDGES to see whether he has put his hand into his neighbor’s goods.
9 “For any kind of trespass, whether it concerns an ox, a donkey, a sheep, or clothing, or for any kind of lost thing which another claims to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the JUDGES; and whomever the JUDGES condemn shall pay double to his neighbor.”
^
^
Another major point is in John 1:14 " The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
God would speak the "Word" through a prophet like Asaph in Pslam 82, in the NT the "Word" was spoken by God incarnate (flesh) by Jesus in John 10.
Jesus actually quoted Psalm 82 "You are gods”’John 10 34-38
Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”
Jesus tells us in the New Testament when He uses and quotes from Psalm 82 that “You are gods” refers to certain individuals within nation of Israel as gods or to say judges . Jesus also reminds us that Israel had the law and the law represents God.
^
^
Also in John 10 34-38 Jesus is claiming to be equal and is God when He said....'I said "You are gods".
^
^
In Summary
The phrase “You are gods” is more of a legalistic title like a judge for the nation of Israel and since there were many judges in the nation of Israel at the same time like in Psalm 82 there would be a divine council, congregation of the mighty or great assembly.

Mr. Heiser !!!
About --- DIVINE
COUNCIL
Deut 32.8 Moses Song. There is mention of the Supreme God
in relation to JHVH in midst sons of god!
There is mention of the
Most High in relation to (the created) sons of God, and in the midst
of which the JHVH ( as Son ! Amog the others ) ! Hence, there is a
clear distinction between the Supreme Being as the Father of the
created sons of God, and as the Father of his unique Son (unborn son)
JHVH! Here, the relationship between the Great and the JHVH should be
noted as the relationship between the Father and the Son (a unique
relationship - comparable) with the created sons of God, among whom
is JHVH!
In other places we also have a combination of
combinations of both terms, for example in the case of meeting with
Abraham with Meliksedek as El Elion and JHVH & EL ELION !!

Psalms 82:1 God has taken his place in the divine council;
in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:
2 “How long will you judge unjustly
and show partiality to the wicked?
Psalms 82:6 I said, “You are gods,

And fall like one of the princes
The divine council In Psalms 82:1 is also referred to as the congregation of the mighty or the great assembly. They gather together to hear judgement, because in verse 2 this divine council judging unjustly and showing partiality to the wicked. Have to remember this divine council is given the "law".
Asaph wrote Psalms 50 and 73-83 are called the “Psalms of Asaph”
Asaph a “seer” or prophet. The word of the Lord would come to prophets in the Old Testament and God would speak through the prophet. So God would speak through Asaph in Psalms 82:2.
In Summary
The phrase “You are gods” is more of a legalistic title like a judge for the nation of Israel and since there were many judges in the nation of Israel at the same time like in Psalms 82 there would be a divine council, congregation of the mighty or great assembly. God spoke to these individuals through the prophet Asaph and in John 10:34-38 that these "gods" or elohim are judges that have the "law" of God.
Heiser also seems to push Jesus aside when He quotes Pslams 82 in John 10.
ENDofDAYS wow! That helped my confusion on this verse.. soo many people misinterpret this scripture. This filled my spirit
I agree with you, but where did you get that the gods of Psalm 82 are given the law?
I want to start a church based on b ne. E-Lim
Hod said he would call no Angel son. Only man and his first creation
Can you quote that? Or give reference?
Please address where it is written, John 10:33-34: 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? Jesus was referring to this Psalm, and is clearly speaking of men as gods, not a divine council in the "sky". I have no inclination toward either of the two meanings here, just in need of clarification.
Yahweh will replace those with humans. is what I get from it but can't quite get my head around it
Am I the only one who felt that these are like LDS teachings?
Up to 2:14 he says "you can't be in the midst of (a) one." And yet there are Trinitarians who keep believing against *The* *Word.*
Right up to 2:49 he wrongly opposes what Yeshua said concerning this verse about "dying like men" and attributes it to The Heavenly Council, rather than to Political Chiefs (which are also Judges according to Gesenius' Lexicon for #H352).
But its like Steve Berkson of MTOI said: "There are people with a Mic who shouldn't be teaching." But folks will flock to them anyway.

+David O-ver,D'ed I beg to differ, but metaphysics show that "time created god(s)" actually.
See a discussion here: creation.com/genesis-13-undermines-gap-theory
I am not a young earth proponent but do think the structural arguments represent what I found 32-33 years ago.

So Elohim could be said to be used in terms like Earthlings?
Answer to DAVID ROSS
ALCHEMY OF TERMS -SINKRETIZAM
The Bible writes a letter killing and spirit reviving! The truth is not in the
letter neither in the code nor in the secrets nor in the alchemy of
syncretism etc ... It does not mean anything! And it means to one who
gives it meaning and who worships these idols. These resemblances of
this kind are syncretitative alchemy of concepts that make you a
spiritual addict. This resemblance is like twins, one of which is a real
and the other fake, and the fake imitates the right to seduce. So the
truth is only one does not have two truths. In the picture of James who
wrestled we have a picture of this struggle. James is a twin who
wrestled with God, that is, with the trials God has set him up. He had
to defeat the old way of understanding and awareness of God and
attaining a new state of consciousness and thus gaining a new name
Israel. Trimming in this way is actually purging from the old as baptism
where the old man takes off and dresses new.
Jew is derived from Judah, a son of Jacob (ISRAEL). ??????????????????????????????
don't get confused.

"Angel of God " ominous most high only begotten God full form whatever this maybe .
Father
Son
Holy spirit
God
Jesus
Holy spirit.
Speaking to a devine councel
Its 5 meaning to the word elohim .in this context its not how we use single word God to define all his attributes both physical or spiritual in one singular word
Elohim is refreshing all his essence and attributes as many more than 1 for us Christians its great news the trinity plus right here .
Yet it is also convening as a and to a divine councel .
Psalm 82 expalined
Heiser brings Polythiesim into Psalm 82 in his teaching and is in error.
John 10: 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)"
Notice in the this verse mentions the "word of God"
Jesus Links himself to the same God that spoken thru the Prophet Asaph in Psalm 82.
John wrote in John 1:14 “14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
This is how the scripture cannot be broken, linking the OT with the NT with the same God.
Jesus says in 10: 34 “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”
Asaph wrote in Psalm 78 the Jews having the law. Psalm 78: 9 The men of Ephraim, though armed with bows, turned back on the day of battle 10 they did not keep God’s covenant
and refused to live by his law." In Psalm 78 is more of a reminder chapter for the nation of Isarel.
The same logic is applied to John 10:35, Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” which directly comes from Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.”
A person can clearly see in Psalm 82 and in John 10 it would be Jews being addressed, not nonhuman spirit beings or angels, like some promote, which Mr. Heiser is Huge on, this made him famous. Heiser is a blind teacher. Smart on Hebrew language and how to speak (Very Inticing and Luring), But bad on Application and Interpretation.
Heiser Ignores In John 10 and Psalm 82
1. The law (Authority for the Jews and Jewish Elders/Judges)
Also see In Exodus 22:8 & 9 here is where a person can find how the role of these Elders/Judges ("gods" or "elohim), established by Moses. The law was given to Moses.
2. The prophet (Asaph wrote Psalm 82)
6. Explainig the Godhead/Trinity as always existed even before creation, Father, Son, Holy Spirit are THREE persons of ONE and the SAME God,
7. Expalining since the Jews had this law of God and from God, Puts them in a High level of Authority to Judge and carry out the law of God and represent God, but they will die like men becasue they do a poor job of representing God and the law.
Psalm 82 6 & 7 NKJV, "I said, “You are ‘gods’; you are all sons of the Most High.”7 But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.’
ESV I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you, nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.”
This is also a huge argument with Hieser and his followers, but is decieving and many are mislead on Heiser's teaching. Man (mortal/flesh) is under the Curse of death, becasue sin leads to death. The Curse happed in Genesis 3 and the fall of man. Romans 5: 12 "Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned"
Also since God created man from the ground and dies, so man retrurns to the ground.
By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken, for dust you are and to dust you will return.’
Very clear since they die like men it is fitting these men return to the ground from which man (mortal/flesh) came and fall like every ruler/prince (mortal/flesh).
The final thought NKJV Psalm 82: 1 "God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods." ESV God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:
How God stands is by His word, that was given to Asaph and Spoken and Writen by God thru the Prophet Asaph in Psalm 82 for and to the Jews, as well as todays Bible readers. So this is figuratively, not literally. How the is fulfilled prophetically and literally with Jesus as the Word become Flesh standing amoungst the Jews as God the Son.
He thinks sammy was alive
Why do you make reference to species, I dont think it could be said of a specific species but one of a kind, God is the only God, other are lesser created heavenly ruling hosts.
You can back what you said as a truth with scripture on a broad scale. What you find in the original language is that your understanding and perspective of that truth will be very off.

Is Jesus a special Elohim or is Him YWHW Himself??
The word begotten translated is better described unique. So for John 3:16 it isn't excluding other sons, but Jesus is YHWH.
Remember:
"if you have seen me, you have seen the Father"
"I and the father are one"
And so on.
I hope this helps
Jesus hates yahweh
I am-- identifying a person as an identity card
Persons !

Psalm 82 Explanation
His words as God (Father and Son) .
We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
God would speak the "Word" through a prophet like Asaph in Psalm 82, in the NT the "Word" was spoken by God incarnate in the flesh by Jesus in John 10.
Psalm 82
1 God stands in the congregation of the mighty;
5 They do not know, nor do they understand;
He judges among the gods.
They walk about in darkness;
2 How long will you judge unjustly,
All the foundations of the earth are unstable.
And show partiality to the wicked? Selah
6 I said, “You are gods,
3 Defend the poor and fatherless;
And all of you are children of the Most High.
Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
7 But you shall die like men,
4 Deliver the poor and needy;
And fall like one of the princes.”
Free them from the hand of the wicked.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth;
For You shall inherit all nations
Psalm 82 with commentary Psalm 82 is also written Poetically by Asaph. The Psalm would have even been sung throughout Israel.
1 God (Elohim) stands in the congregation of the mighty; (divine council, great assembly)
He judges among the gods. (elohim>>>judges, rulers, and elders with in the Nation of Israel) Note: when God "stands" and" judges" this is by the spoken/written word of the prophet
Asaph, because the word of the Lord would come to prophets in the OT.)
2 How long will you judge unjustly,
And show partiality to the wicked? Selah
3 Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy;
Free them from the hand of the wicked.
5 They do not know, nor do they understand;
They walk about in darkness;
All the foundations of the earth are unstable. ( Verses 2-5 Is directed to Jewish elders and Is a court setting , where the courts were intended as the place where the
needy could find justice, but they were not fulfilling this responsibility. They are judging unjustly
and are favoring the wicked, they are being questioned and scolded.
These verses could also be applied to Pharisees in the time of Jesus, basically bad rulers/elders,
not representing God or the law.)
6a I said, “You are gods,
(((Father's "words spoken and written by the prophet Asaph who wrote Psalm 82 ">>>>>Son's "words" addressing Pharisees who are Jewish rulers/elders a certain sect at the time of Jesus.
When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own for he is a liar and the father of it."
Psalm 82 verse 6 also Parallel's John 10: 34
John 10: 34 "Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’?
Psalm 82 6a "I said, “You are gods,")))
Verse 6b cont. And all of you are children of the Most High. (The children of the Most High are Israel, Jesus the Messiah is to come through them)
7 But you shall die like men, (referring to those bad elders, rulers and judges with High Authority, they favor the wicked and judge unjustly, they do not follow
through with their responsibilities, duties, and do not represent God or the law, these High Officials are just men, they have High Rank so they will die like men)
And fall like one of the princes. (referring to earthly rulers or even angels, satan is the prince of the power of the air Ephesians 2:2,
even Israel in Hebrew means prince of God, Israel had many princes )
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; (God is the supreme Judge)
For You shall inherit all nations (God inherits the nations by Jesus the son, Jesus is the coming King)
The word is best understood to represent divine authority over jurisdiction

Examples?
I'm not in disagreement here with you, but sons of Elohim and Elohim aren't the same. And there are multiple Elohim.
@@garlandjones7709
will you please disagree with him
@@termikesmike can you elaborate? I'm willing to discuss what I meant
@@garlandjones7709
‘There there now’ , just a little ‘lite’ on the subject , not trying to disagree -
yet it seems ‘ no one around here’ can “really know” , for a number of reasons , what is the ‘final factual blessED truth’ of the meanings of such words when we are in fact unable to known what was “first written” and whether it was able to convey the meaning of something that was 'spoken' in a conversation with those who are now listening to a 21st century news event (like a ‘war’) on numerous audio devices around the world and commented upon by opposing views.
Heiser has said he’s compared multiple transcripts
and found different words used , and who can know which one is “ truly correct “ ?
Asaph the Prophet writes ESV Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.”
When a person read it in the original Hebrew, and you will see the difference between Yahweh as Elohim above all Elohim and the council itself as a lower classification of elohim.
Jesus answers the lower classification of elohim (gods) in John 10: 34 35.
John the Disciple/Apsotle writes Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),
The lower class of elohim (gods) in Psalm 82 are human NOT non human/angels like Heiser promotes.
35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"
Notice there is a lot happening with the words Jesus uses John 10
Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.”
Since Jesus is God and is addressing HUMANS in John 10 and is REPEATING what God said when He spoke thru the prophet Asaph in Psalm 82, that means the "gods/elohim" in Psalm 82 are also HUMAN (Judges.Rulers.Jews), Jesus Literally answers the question of the "gods/elohim" in Psalm 82.
4. So when a person puts the "gods/elohim" in Psalm 82 and who God is adresseing thru the prophet Asaph>>>>>>>Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.”
Now you apply Jesus and the "gods" He is adressing in John 10>>>>>>>John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’?
The body sleeps, the soul is wither with God or in Sheol awaiting for judgement.

You literally believe an alien created humans?..
Gabriel Hernandez anything not from this planet is an alien !! So yes god is an alien
Israel are the "gods" in Psalm 82, the "gods" are human NOT nonhuman like this Heiser guy promoted. Psalm 89 has nothing to do with Psalm 82
Israel was unique from the pagan nations that surrounded them, Israel had the law of God, 10 commandment, prophets and a Levitical priesthood. Since Israel had the law of God, it put Israel in the position of being "gods," becuase God chose them, Israel was God's chosen people.
Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;
John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"
So Jesus and him crusified is not the gospel? You focus on unsubstantial teachings. The spirit testifies of Christ and his sacrifice, his blood!
+John Gregory Amen John Gregory!
9:28 Heiser calls God “species unique”, very disturbing. God is NOT a species!!
Don't gaslight him because you don't believe 😂
If there are more than one "Elohim" they are a species
@@heavensarmiesmarc From Heiser's Chapter 1 Unseen Realm
"One such moment in my own life-the catalyst behind this book-came on a Sunday morning in church while I was in graduate school. I was chatting with a friend who, like me, was working on a PhD in Hebrew studies, killing a few minutes before the service started. I don’t recall much of the conversation, though I’m sure it was something about Old Testament theology. But I’ll never forget how it ended. My friend handed me his Hebrew Bible, open to Psalm 82 He said simply, “Here, read that … look at it closely.”
The first verse hit me like a bolt of lightning:
Psalm 82:1
God stands in the divine assembly;
he administers judgment in the midst of the gods
I’ve indicated the Hebrew wording that caught my eye and put my heart in my throat. There it was, plain as day: The God of the Old Testament was part of an assembly-a pantheon-of other gods."
>>>>Okay this is from Heiser’s book the “Unseen Realm” Chapter 1 in his opening of this book.
Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;>>>>>>Israel
why Jesus said you going to be gods ?

+Covenant Speed L.L.C. & Uber "Genius" Genie;Hey you all; brothers in Christ Jesus I address. Should we not stoop to negative comments one to another, when we have the same Lord and Savior? We're all seeking the Truth; but: "For now we
see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love." (1 Cor. 13.12-13.). Let's not let the pagans view our superficial disagreements. Thanks!
+David O'D Perhaps Mocking deep scholarship is not from God. I'm not weighing in on whether someone is Christian. ""Anyone who lives by milk, being still an infant is not acquainted with the teachings of righteousness. Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity!" Is the author of Hebrews sewing discord among the brotheren by inveighing about Christian immaturity? (See Hebrews 5:11-6:3) 2Cor5:11ff discusses our ambassadorial calling to be reconciling people to Christ. Have you seen the difference between a conversation between a non-Christian with William Lane Craig, and a nonChristian and a campus preacher calling deep understanding meaningless and engaging simply barking out the four spiritual laws.
I encourage both of you to deeply pursue the type of knowledge represented hear as a means to becoming an ambassador worthy of he calling, as opposed to wearing a tshirt that reads, "Got Milk?" As suggested above.
Your assumptions are unwarranted and show pride in the GIFT of truth you may have. The commision is to teach Christ and him crucified. The remission of sin, and the way to the father. The spirit directs each person who has a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Michael is lost in divine bullshit
May the god Assur hear the prayer of the succeeding prince, who repairs the damage of his place when it becomes old and decayed, and restores to its place my tablet written with my name. But whoever shall efface the writing of my name and write his name upon it; whoever shall cover over this my tablet, or hurl it into the water, or burn it in the fire, or bury it in the ground, or shall hide it where it cannot be seen, to him, the foreigner, stranger, enemy and evil one, I appoint these curses: May Assur, the mighty god, dwelling in the temple of Sadimatatil may Anu, Bel, Hea, and Ziru; may the great gods, the angels of heaven and the spirits of earth, firmly seize him in their might; may they quickly curse him with an evil curse; may they wipe his name, his seed, his strength, his family out of the land; may they sweep his country, and destroy his people and his landmarks; may Vul, the god of the air, with his storms of evil, stir up a flood, an evil wind, a ruinous earthquake, desctruction, scarcity and famine in his land; the rain may he send in a deluge; to mounds and ruins may Vul tirn his country and consume it."
During therapy, grandiose delusions were linked to patients' underlying beliefs by using inference chaining.[30][32] Some examples of interventions performed to improve the patient's state were focus on specific themes, clarification of neologisms, and thought linkage.[32] During thought linkage, the patient is asked repeatedly by the therapist to explain his/her jumps in thought from one subject, to a completely different one.[
Hey Michael why dont you explain this to the public, and dont tell us its from the devil if you do you will be lying again.

Grandiose delusions (GD) or delusions of grandeur are a subtype of delusion that occur in patients suffering from a wide range of mental illnesses, including two-thirds of patients in manic state of bipolar disorder, half of those with schizophrenia, patients with the grandiose subtype of delusional disorder, and a substantial portion of those with substance abuse disorders.[1][2] GDs are characterized by fantastical beliefs that one is famous, omnipotent, wealthy, or otherwise very powerful. The delusions are generally fantastic and typically have a religious, science-fictional or supernatural theme.
Seek help Nibu! Don't be afraid to lean on a psychiatric professional. Just keep telling yourself that, "they are not the devil, all doctors where long white lab coats!" Remember Satan appears as an angel of "light," not "white," lab coat.
Your making me mad with your over literal reasonings. The gods of your reasoning. Rulers over you with authority like kings or presidents are gods. Stars. Elohim. The angels were created a little higher than us. We have rulers also. So why r u torn up over angels with authorities over certain places or jobs? These angels make themselves or are made gods in the same way idols are made so. Throw your concordance out the window and read the reference citings. Those things are apostasy. Not needed either. Adam is son of God also. Refers to perfection only. We have the power to become sons of God. Back to perfection once sin is removed. God is one Yahweh. Rom 3:30. The trinity is sun worship. You stated demons are called it also. Then by your reason they are your gods like it or not. Isaiah 46:9. None like me. John 14:28 the father is greater than i am. But what made me mad is you stated samuel was back from the dead. Wrong. Ecc 9:5. Ps 146:4-6. It was a demon saul spoke with. Put to death for it. No such thing as ghosts. Get over yourself. Your boss at work could be called god. Its about authority not worship. Elders are called stars in rev 2 and 3. 7 churches. So is your reasoning power a god now? Angels told 2 men in the bible no no don't worship me worship God. My anointed bros 144000 who inherit heaven will judge angels. That makes them gods. It will include all the angels you speak of.
The argument is, is that there No Abrahamic covenant yet, that is 100% true when a person applies verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) it is more clear and plain to see who the "sons of God" are in both Deuteronomy 32:8 and Genesis 6
Nations are named after a father in scripture.
The passage of scripture of the name change for Jacob to Israel Genesis 32:28 "Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.”
Israel (Jacob) had 12 sons which would be 12 tirbes with Many Generations. Getting back to Exodus 4:22 says "Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son".
Since Israel was the "firstborn son" to the Lord God, which would means Israel/Jacobs offspring would be "sons of God" or also to say "children of Israel"
The twelve tribes are as follows: Reuben, Simeon, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Ephraim and Manasseh.
See how many Generations came from Isreal (Jacob)
Even the following verses of how the "Text" allows for "sons of Israel" .
Deuteromony 32:9 'But the Lord's portion is his people,
Jacob his allotted heritage.
10 “He found him in a desert land,
and in the howling waste of the wilderness;
he encircled him, he cared for him"
Clearly verses 9 and 10 is talking about the "sons of Israel" which would be Jacob's 12 sons/tribes, key words in the text Jacob alotted heritage (Israel). "The Lord's portion is his people" Israel was the Lord's Chosen people
The 12 tribes were the ones wondering in the desert land which verse 10 is talking about.
That is WHY there is such a debate in the text, both sons of God and children of Israel had "Many Generations". Heiser's divine council of super angels Can Not or Do Not have "Many Generations"
Even looking at Psalm 82:6 "I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;" The word "sons" is used in the Plurality, which would be referencing that the "sons" are human pretaining to the 12 tribes of Israel (Jacob's sons).
Deuteronomy 32
7 Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you.
Ram
why do books on the occult use the name Yahweh to summon demons?
Very interesting question, which writings contains this, I would honestly like to know....thank you.
@@otismiller3247 its to bind the Fallen spirits so they can not harm you. You are lead to believe Occultism is all Devil worship that couldn't be farther from the truth. Anyone that attends mass every Sunday takes part in a Occult ritual. The robes, altar, candles, incense, oils, chanting and singing. All part of ceremonial Magik. They keep the power for themselves because something they don't tell you is its our divine right to speak with Angels and work with them for enlightenment. But to answer your question.

The Only IMAGE of invesible God as EVIDENCE of TRINITY !!
I am-- identifying a person as an identity card
Persons !
