I agree with keeping the parking break. It's the meta to delete it, but do what you want! I still have the parking break on my ancient 660 and they really do come in handy.
The extra switch is for a light bar that goes on your handlebars that way you have Vision in front of you and where your handlebars are turning which is probably the way you're looking
Awesome! I bought the same lights for my Raptor. I saw them on Brewers Channel. I love the look and they make the Raptor actually function at night. Nice work putting it all together.
Very nice! I looked into these because I thought they looked really cool. I instead got 2 pairs of harbor freight flood/spot pods, tied the low and high together so they both stay on, and installed a diode to retain the low -> high stepping on the oem switch. It's kinda ugly because they're square pods, but the output is unparalleled for the cost! The install provided an enjoyable challenge to stop them from wobbling from bumps
Nice install Pete. With those rear turn signals it'll be easier to follow you now. 😅 The headlights work really well at night. Much brighter than the stock headlights.
24:06 I wouldn't believe if this was Pete's real laugh if no one gave me any context. Great video though man, I appreciate all the hard work and effort to cook up such a awesome clip! 👍
Beat me to it - got a vid coming on my street legal conversion project as well here in Atlanta. Couple more things I need but also used the resto quad kit and agree, makes things so much easier then making your own harness with relays. Also, yes the horn is incredibly fun lol
Switch the controls for your ignition controls. Just leave your clutch in between them. Will be further to reach the kill switch. But your blinkers will be right there. Should work fine. Sweet setup though!! I might get just the light for my yfz. Awesome video 🤟
wait till ya see a 88 trx 380 big bore on some billet cases roaming the streets...going to hit them up and see if I can get a kit for the trx 250r made.
Looks really good. Been there before when you missed the routing under the frame lol. You need to get some flush cut plies for cutting zipties so they won't act like a razor blade. Was you hiding a top secret power commander under that towel?
Hey Troy, I have the V2's in the box but haven't installed them yet. I'm hoping to get them installed soon and share a comparison video at night between the V1 and V2 beam patterns. My understanding is that the V2 should improve upon the V1. I do however like the V1 DRL's quite a bit so it's a bit of a toss up if your mainly interested in the running lights
@@PeteHager Probably get the V1’s because I can see in your video how they preform but I’m coming across an issue. The only plug and play harness they offer is for the full street legal kit and all im looking to do is upgrade the lights but also want the DRL’s to function without having to tare the quad apart to do it. Just got a 19’ special edition the other day after you gave me the inspiration from years ago when you first took delivery of yours 🤘🏼 Super hard to find in good condition
@@troywilson1071 Wow thats awesome man, congrats on finding a red special edition! The DRL install is pretty simple and you don't have to mess with any of your OEM wiring. Question for anyone here in the comments: Does this make it street legal for ANYWHERE in the US? I live in NC so I don't know how they'll treat it. I know they allow SxS after they've done the conversions but I don't know if a VIN is required or if SxS's even have one.
Good Question, All states have varying degrees of usage and equipment rules to allow for legal road use. Very hard for us to recommend exactly what is required to satisfy the needs of each state, local city and/or county laws. Our kit is designed to try and tackle as much of the overall needs as possible in regards to the add on equipment required but local research definitely needs to be done to ensure compliance. Unfortunately for us here in NC there are no current laws as such with the SXS's. We are trying to lobby with other businesses and local enthusiasts for a similar movement as to how the SXS laws got presented and passed here. Keep your eye out in the future on social media to join the movement to present legislation.
I think it has something to do with being a 4- wheeled vehicle, it has to comply with certain track width and wheel base comparable to a car. That is why there is such a big deal about it. The reason the 3 wheeled sling shots, converted to 4 wheels is legal because of said wheel base and dimensions and is more of a grey area as a mod, as well because it has a legit vin and title etc..
You can just use the headlights and wire em up to be drls, either white or amber. I have a video on that on my 700 and another on my daughters 350. Super easy.
In Minnesota for example. I can drive in Morris most places, but in Benson about 25 miles away they don’t currently allow regular quads on public roads.
Each state handles it differently. In Arizona/Montana/Utah/South Dakota they can pretty much be made fully street legal aside from interstate hwy’s. There may be more states but it really comes down to where you live 👍
@peterhager are these the V1 lights or V2 lights? Iv just brought a raptor 700r & want better lights front & rear & I really like these,I went on there website but it seems you haft to click what you need instead of clicking one thing (fall kit) then pay, like iv no idea if I need all the harnesses or some of them, but I believe you can get these on EBay as a whole kit,but just want to no if you have the V1 or V2 lights bud

These quads can be like glue on pavement so it's important to be pretty subtle when your cornering. If you're having issues going in a straight line then your steering alignment may be off or you have something else bent in your front end 👍
Yes it's all on Restoquad's site. Each state that has street legal regulations does it differently so your best bet is to talk to someone from your county to verify everything you would need. 👍
@PeteHager okay last question lol so with the wiring. The plug n play harness and rear signal harness is the only wiring I need right? Just to get the headlights and front and rear signals going? Just don't want to miss something cause I have to have it hauled to ashop to get it done.
@@justinmahan7860 you need the plug and play DRL/turn signal harness, the handlebar turn signal, horn, and accessory switch. *_All new four wheelers should come equipped as such from factory!_*
Naa not for me most of us only use these quads for offroad and all of the street legal stuff adds weight and doesn't really look that good IMO
They do in the Eu
Yeah, definitely don't need all that crap for what's intended to be an off-road vehicle.

Why someone hasn’t come out with a factory road legal quad I have no idea. Be no different than a dual sport motorcycle just has 4 wheels
