If you believe that Jesus was God born into flesh, and lived, was crucified for the sins of the whole world, and was raised again on the third day for your sins. You are saved. You are sealed until the day of redemption. You can never be snatched from his hand and will never be cut off, or forsaken. Only God knows for sure who is his. Man can not read the hearts and minds of men, only God can. Works only serve the purpose to love one another as ourselves, and our neighbor as ourselves. Works also lend credence to our words, and show glory to God when we share the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just believe on him today. Nothing added, and nothing taken away.
I have imputed righteousness from God the savior because of my belief. Our best work is filthy rags and will never equate to our own righteausness. If your trust is in your own righteouness you better keep the law 100% and not offend in one area. But you can't do that. I was brought thr gh the teachings of the Catholic faith and confirmed in my 30's. I found God and formed a relationship with Jesus. God is holy and we are not. If you've lied or stolen, you've sinned by breaking some of the Ten Commandments which are God's law. "The wages of sin is death" means that by sinning, we've earned the death sentence. "But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23) - Jesus dying on the cross was Him taking the punishment we deserve for our sins. He basically paid our fine. If someone pays your fine, even though you're guilty, you're free to go. So just believe Jesus paid for your sin and therefore reconciled you to God. It's a gift you cannot earn - you must believe and trust in that to receive it. If and when you do, you no longer need to fear the wrath of God... "Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation" (Colossians 1:21-22) You'll be free from accusation and condemnation.

I know a few pastors who don't really preach the Word. In my opinion, there's a few pastoring churches that were never called to such a ministry! One can tell by what comes out of their mouth.
The sad thing is that so many people misunderstood the meaning of Predestination. Predestined does not mean that God Predestines people to Heaven or Hell, like many people believe. Because God is all knowing, He knows everything from beginning to end. Because of His foreknowledge He knows the choice we are going to make. He has given us a Free Will and that means exactly what it says, each person in this World has a choice to believe what God says in His Word the Bible or they can reject it, only the people that reject Gods Word the Bible will be the ones that will not go to Heaven. Any person that goes to the place of Torment will be those that chose to go there because they choose not to trust in Jesus for dying for them on the Cross.
So a question is: Why does God allow to be born billions of people He knows will go to hell? That's a tough one to ponder, even if you don't accept Paul's teaching that true believers were "chosen before the foundation of the world."
Dear Brad, 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Not hard to ponder at all. He is not willing that any should perish. Unless you are a Calvinist then they believe that God has already chosen the Elite. My God is longsuffering so it would not make any sense to believe that no one has a choice. Why would God tell us to go and preach the Gospel, what would be the point? How about the Jewish people many of them will still have the opportunity to be Saved even after the Lord returns?

How sad. According the Calvinist Doctrine that John MacArthur adheres to, you don't have a choice. You were/are predestined to heaven or predestined to hell so "are saved or self deceived" doesn't come into the equation. Your not a pastor, you not a Christian congregation, your not a Christian, because that's what God willed for you. No matter who you are call upon the Lord Jesus Christ to save you and you will be saved. And yes, no matter who you are YOU CAN CALL upon the Lord to save you because he is calling to you to be saved.

The predestination in Ephesians chapter 1 is our adoption and our inheritance was predestined to be through Christ. That's what was predestined, not people. Salvation was predestined to be through Christ. Spiritual blessing were predestined to be through Christ. Predestined is about Christ not people. It so thrills my heart to know there is another soul that I will know in Heaven, even though I don't know what you look like yet when we are in Heaven, we will know each other. Why because we will be one happy family. Why do we get this privilege of being forever in Heaven? It is because there was one that loved us so very much that He would come to this Earth to die on a Cross for me and His Father poured out his rath on Him (Jesus) because of my sin, because He chooses not for any to perish in their sin. Are YOU a Christian? Sometimes, if you're honest, you don't know for sure if you're doing what's required. You confess Jesus is your Lord and Savior, you believe His shed blood pays for your sin, and you go forward, trying to repent. There's no end to the repenting process; once you've gotten rid of one thing (or l, should I say, GOD has gotten rid of it), something else comes to light that is something to repent of. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's hard. I wish a golden mark would appear on your wrist once you're saved, so all questions or doubts about it are forever gone. With the devil being the master of lies, sometimes you doubt. I just seriously believe I'm saved due to seeing my life change in miraculous ways, and because I believe in Jesus. God help us all

That verse is about sanctification, not regeneration. What you are teaching is very false doctrine. If you think behavioral modification, water baptism, and charismatic experiences is the plan of regeneration, you are self-deceived. In particular, the baptism clause “for the remission of sins” is better translated “because of the remission of sins,” as in “because you have received the remission of sins,” not in order to receive the remission of sins. To be saved, you must trust in the Person and finished Work of Jesus Christ alone (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) to be saved, and that is to the exclusion of all of your works. If you think your works help you get saved or stay saved you’re in a lot of trouble.

Acts 2:38 is a Jewish call to repentance based on the kingdom gospel. It is not applicable in the dispensation of the grace of God given to us. Acts 16:30-31 is our call to salvation!
It is sad to see Matthew 7:21-23 misapplied to entrance into heaven! This scripture is clearly teaching the judgment of the nations at the 2nd Advent, when Messiah King Jesus cleanses the world of all the wicked, including false teachers of every religious stripe. His earthly kingdom will be a kingdom of righteousness ruled with a rod of iron! Sorry, John, but every person in eternity will know their state, and not be confused as to why they are either in heaven or in hell. Bad doctrine can come from any pulpit, including yours!
You deny that this passage is specifically to those who call Jesus “Lord”? You deny that some will be deceived? I think you need to look at the passage more closely.
I do not deny that people will call him Lord when he returns to establish the messianic kingdom. I merely state that his use of Matthew 7 being some moment in eternity when men will not know of their eternal destiny, and plead their case to Jesus is not sound exegesis. The sermon on the mount is a kingdom teaching to the Jews. When people die, they either are immediately in heaven, because they are saved, or they are in hell, because they are lost. There is no other situation…no courtroom drama. For anyone to use scripture in such a manner is careless.
The people who plead their case in Matthew 7 are still living, breathing people coming under the righteous, holy judgment of the King of kings and Lord of lords in his earthly kingdom. They are cast into the open pit of flames where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Mark 9:42-48
Landon, I have watched Sproul, Piper, and MacArthur all misapply Matthew 7:21-23, parroting each other in this wrong doctrine. The New Testament Scriptures tell us how to be saved. There, you will NOT find the man-made, denominational mantra of, “We are saved by faith alone in Jesus. Instead, Jesus and His apostles go much further than that and issue specific commandments for salvation that are presented here with example Scripture references from the KJV. BELIEVE THE GOSPEL: John 3:16; Acts 16:31; First Corinthians 15:1-4. While on earth, Jesus had power to forgive whomever He willed, for the New Covenant had not yet gone into effect. Ultimately, we are saved through the sacrificial blood of Jesus (First Peter 1:13-21), BUT, we only have access to His saving blood by obeying His commandments for salvation. Don't ever try to debunk these commandments with Ephesians 2:8-9. “Saved by grace through faith” means that we cannot earn salvation by our good deeds or personal works alone. Jesus saves us through His grace as a gift to those who have faith enough in Him to obey His commandments, which are certainly NOT personal works. As Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15 KJV). It's really mind-boggling how quickly many alleged Christians reject Jesus’ commandments for salvation and prefer man-made, denominational doctrines. As Jesus said, "Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" (Mark 7:7 KJV). “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46 KJV). If you really want to be saved, then do what Jesus tells you to do. It’s just that simple.
Little Johnny MacArthur , God has predestined the minority of people to be saved and go to heaven forever, and He has predestined the majority of people to be eternally damned and burn in the fires of hell. We have no idea, little Johnny, if God has predestined you to be forever damned or forever saved. We love you, little Johnny, but we accept the fact that God might not love you, and that He may have plans to send you to hell for your future sins. If you do find yourself one day burning in hell because He hasn’t elected to save you, just remember that we will always love you, even if God hates you. We must accept the fact that God is sovereign, and He does what He pleases. My dear beloved Calvinist, will you teach that to your children or grandchildren? I suspect that your answer will be “never.” But why not? Why would you ever hide the wonderful “doctrines of grace,” the “Bible truth,” from your own children or grandchildren? TRUTH IN LOVE

Those who stand before the Lord wanting acceptance into his Kingdom whom he never knew, are those that believe their works add to their salvation, or works prove salvation. John MacArthur teaches an accursed Calvanist gospel. If you believe that Jesus was God born into flesh, and lived, was crucified for the sins of the whole world, and was raised again on the third day for your sins. You are saved. You are sealed until the day of redemption. You can never be snatched from his hand and will never be cut off, or forsaken. Only God knows for sure who is his. Man can not read the hearts and minds of men, only God can. Works only serve the purpose to love one another as ourselves, and our neighbor as ourselves. Works also lend credence to our words, and show glory to God when we share the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just believe on him today. Nothing added, and nothing taken away.

I have imputed righteousness from God the savior because of my belief. Our best work is filthy rags and will never equate to our own righteausness. If your trust is in your own righteouness you better keep the law 100% and not offend in one area. But you can't do that. The entire reason God manifested in the flesh and died as a perfect sinless propitiation for your sin. "It is finished." Just believe.

John MacArthur preaches an accursed Gospel as spoken about in the book of Galatians. “And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. I was brought thr gh the teachings of the Catholic faith and confirmed in my 30's. I found God and formed a relationship with Jesus. In my 40's the truth was unveiled to me in my search for closeness with God. I now know in my 50's, the Catholic teachings are not from God. It was put on my heart that I was brought through the Catholic teachings so I could be fully able to see clearly the hands the devil plays to deceive. I pray I am saved. I believe Jesus died for our sins on the cross, Lord have mercy, I am a sinner, but I believe and I try each day to make you proud.

God is holy and we are not. If you've lied or stolen, you've sinned by breaking some of the Ten Commandments which are God's law. "The wages of sin is death" means that by sinning, we've earned the death sentence. "But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23) - Jesus dying on the cross was Him taking the punishment we deserve for our sins. He basically paid our fine. If someone pays your fine, even though you're guilty, you're free to go. So just believe Jesus paid for your sin and therefore reconciled you to God. It's a gift you cannot earn - you must believe and trust in that to receive it. If and when you do, you no longer need to fear the wrath of God... "Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation" (Colossians 1:21-22) You'll be free from accusation and condemnation.

The sad thing is that so many people misunderstood the meaning of Predestination. Predestined does not mean that God Predestines people to Heaven or Hell, like many people believe. Because God is all knowing, He knows everything from beginning to end. Because of His foreknowledge He knows the choice we are going to make. He has given us a Free Will and that means exactly what it says, each person in this World has a choice to believe what God says in His Word the Bible or they can reject it, only the people that reject Gods Word the Bible will be the ones that will not go to Heaven. Any person that goes to the place of Torment will be those that chose to go there because they choose not to trust in Jesus for dying for them on the Cross.
So a question is: Why does God allow to be born billions of people He knows will go to hell? That's a tough one to ponder, even if you don't accept Paul's teaching that true believers were "chosen before the foundation of the world."

Not hard to ponder at all. He is not willing that any should perish. Unless you are a Calvinist then they believe that God has already chosen the Elite. My God is longsuffering so it would not make any sense to believe that no one has a choice.
Why would God tell us to go and preach the Gospel, what would be the point? How about the Jewish people many of them will still have the opportunity to be Saved even after the Lord returns?

Yet even Arminians will have to admit that God could prevent people from going to hell simply by not allowing those He knows to be destined there to not be born at all.

How sad. According the Calvinist Doctrine that John MacArthur adheres to, you don't have a choice. You were/are predestined to heaven or predestined to hell so "are saved or self deceived" doesn't come into the equation. The Holy Spirit will not teach anyone Calvinism (Tulip). Calvinism is learned from man. Once a person starts learning/learns Calvinism a very bewitching and persistent spirit will come up on them. This spirit will try to convince them Calvinism is found all through the bible and is biblical. I fought it and eventually rebuked it in the name of Jesus and it left me for a season. The predestination in Ephesians chapter 1 is our adoption and our inheritance was predestined to be through Christ. That's what was predestined, not people. Salvation was predestined to be through Christ. Spiritual blessing were predestined to be through Christ. Predestined is about Christ not people. Simple: Align yourself on what the Bible says, what Jesus says and what the Holy Spirit guides you to. If you use the Word of God (pure truth) to guide your path, you will be certainly going towards Jesus Christ.
1. Read your Bible constantly and do not stop no matter what. Its one of the most important things that anyone needs to do.
2. Pray to God about everything, being vulnerable on His presence. Be 100% honest on what you are feeling and thinking about, and put on His hands everything of your life.

Why because we will be one happy family. Why do we get this privilege of being forever in Heaven? I do not believe that active homosexuality is acceptable to God. Many people think it is ok and well they will still go to heaven. I question this.

Justification is part of grace, is forgiveness, is mercy, is redemption and deals with guilt, but grace also deals with depravity to make someone FIT for eternal life. If a person has not obeyed the Apostles Doctrine according to Acts 2:38 that person is NOT saved but self deceived.
That verse is about sanctification, not regeneration. What you are teaching is very false doctrine. If you think behavioral modification, water baptism, and charismatic experiences is the plan of regeneration, you are self-deceived. In particular, the baptism clause “for the remission of sins” is better translated “because of the remission of sins,” as in “because you have received the remission of sins,” not in order to receive the remission of sins. To be saved, you must trust in the Person and finished Work of Jesus Christ alone (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) to be saved, and that is to the exclusion of all of your works. If you think your works help you get saved or stay saved you’re in a lot of trouble.

Acts 2:38 is a Jewish call to repentance based on the kingdom gospel. It is not applicable in the dispensation of the grace of God given to us. Acts 16:30-31 is our call to salvation!

It is sad to see Matthew 7:21-23 misapplied to entrance into heaven! This scripture is clearly teaching the judgment of the nations at the 2nd Advent, when Messiah King Jesus cleanses the world of all the wicked, including false teachers of every religious stripe. His earthly kingdom will be a kingdom of righteousness ruled with a rod of iron! Sorry, John, but every person in eternity will know their state, and not be confused as to why they are either in heaven or in hell. Bad doctrine can come from any pulpit, including yours!
You deny that this passage is specifically to those who call Jesus “Lord”? You deny that some will be deceived?
I think you need to look at the passage more closely.
I do not deny that people will call him Lord when he returns to establish the messianic kingdom. I merely state that his use of Matthew 7 being some moment in eternity when men will not know of their eternal destiny, and plead their case to Jesus is not sound exegesis. The sermon on the mount is a kingdom teaching to the Jews. When people die, they either are immediately in heaven, because they are saved, or they are in hell, because they are lost. There is no other situation…no courtroom drama. For anyone to use scripture in such a manner is careless.
The people who plead their case in Matthew 7 are still living, breathing people coming under the righteous, holy judgment of the King of kings and Lord of lords in his earthly kingdom. They are cast into the open pit of flames where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Mark 9:42-48
Landon, I have watched Sproul, Piper, and MacArthur all misapply Matthew 7:21-23, parroting each other in this wrong doctrine. Men are not infallible, and when they all agree together, ignoring the simple truth of scripture, are not wise, regardless of the number of letters they have after their names. In this case, they are in error.

3. REPENT OF YOUR SINS: Acts 3:19; Luke 13:3.
4. CONFESS BEFORE MANKIND THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD: Matthew 10:32-33; Romans 10:9-10.

Though sinless, Jesus commanded baptism and was also baptized as our example, so it’s a most essential part of the salvation process.
6. LIVE A CHRISTIAN LIFE BY SERVING CHRIST: Hebrews 5:8-9; Matthew 7:21; John 14:15; Second Thessalonians 1:7-9.
Think you can be saved like the thief on the cross? While on earth, Jesus had power to forgive whomever He willed, for the New Covenant had not yet gone into effect. We today are under the authority of the New Covenant, which includes these commandments for salvation. Therefore, we cannot be saved in exactly the same manner as the thief on the cross. Ultimately, we are saved through the sacrificial blood of Jesus (First Peter 1:13-21), BUT, we only have access to His saving blood by obeying His commandments for salvation.
Don't ever try to debunk these commandments with Ephesians 2:8-9. “Saved by grace through faith” means that we cannot earn salvation by our good deeds or personal works alone. Jesus saves us through His grace as a gift to those who have faith enough in Him to obey His commandments, which are certainly NOT personal works. As Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15 KJV).
It's really mind-boggling how quickly many alleged Christians reject Jesus’ commandments for salvation and prefer man-made, denominational doctrines. As Jesus said, "Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" (Mark 7:7 KJV). “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46 KJV).
If you really want to be saved, then do what Jesus tells you to do. It’s just that simple.
Little Johnny MacArthur , God has predestined the minority of people to be saved and go to heaven forever, and He has predestined the majority of people to be eternally damned and burn in the fires of hell. We have no idea, little Johnny, if God has predestined you to be forever damned or forever saved.
We love you, little Johnny, but we accept the fact that God might not love you, and that He may have plans to send you to hell for your future sins. If you do find yourself one day burning in hell because He hasn’t elected to save you, just remember that we will always love you, even if God hates you.
Take comfort knowing that we are not like God.
We will be in heaven forever only because we were unconditionally chosen for salvation before we were born. That would be the only reason that we won’t be in hell with you if you find yourself there. It won’t be because of anything we did.
So also take comfort in knowing that. It may not seem fair, but who are we to judge God?
So again, if you find yourself in hell, remember that we will always love you as we forever worship the God who loved us but who hated you, the God who sent His Son to die for us but not for you.
Please, we ask, don’t let it bother you-if you find yourself in hell-that we love the God who hated you and showed you no mercy. We must accept the fact that God is sovereign, and He does what He pleases.
