I haven’t played games since PS2. When my brother convinced my to buy a PS5, I caved and WOW I am blown away every day. The UI, ability to stream games, graphics, audio…everything is literally perfect. Played the updated FF7 and it brought nostalgic tears to my eyes! I’m not sure who to thank at Sony, or if they will ever see this - but thank you!!! Love this console!
Not hating, but the UI kinda suck. I miss themes it made the system look different. And steaming has never worked for me for some reason it always lag even with great internet speeds. But I agree with you on the graphics and audio. Also PS2 was the GOAT 🔥. Again let me clarify I am not hating on your post I know the internet can be toxic. Also am I the only one who kinda liked the share feed on PS4? it was a nice way to see what your friends (if we had any 💀) were playing or even sharing gameplay to a game you might want to buy. Its the same Console so it wouldn’t be a Ban but if you want to share Games on a different PS5 than you have to Activate the 2nd PS5 as Main Console and you can play on 1st PS5 by just going to your Users Account and Play but this can only work if you have PS Plus because you basically can share Games and Online access with 1 other Person even on a different Console but on same Console if you want to share Games you don’t need PS Plus,just follow this Video instruction

Wow. Internet capability used to be considered the good feature. Now we are happy to be able to access our bought products if the internet goes down. Kind of sad actually. And a reason I decided to start buying discs again.
I share my digital library with my friend's PS5 and another friend's PS4, this is a life saver, we share the PS Extra (we pay 1/3 the price each) and sometimes we just buy a game and devide the price to 50% for me (cuz I'll own it) and 25% for each of them. we saved a lot of money the 3 last years.
can you explain in to me how it works with ps plus subscription? so if I have the PS EXTRA let's say, and I have console sharing enabled and they have my account connected to their console, they get the same benefits from the PS EXTRA?
@@urziceanu6645 Yes, they just need to log into your account, download the game they want to play in their console, and then log in with theirs afterwards. (remember you can only share with one console of each gen at a time ex: 1 PS5 and 1 PS4 and 1 PS3 etc.. ex: sharing with 2 other PS5s won't work)

A lot of people didn’t know but this has been here a while. People just didn’t know how to do this. It was confusing since people thought this was illegal and or it would kick you out of the other profile or console by doing it wrong. I was stoked when I learned how to do this. Now the access is easier.

If you have a PS5 and a PS4, both can play from the same shared library at the same time. I remember with the ps4 having the option to set your primary ps4, and that no two consoles can access and play the digital library at the same time, with the primary console overriding the other if the owner boots up a game. I figured having a ps5 completely fixed that. That's why I gave my brother my ps4 once I got my ps5 and we both can play any game I own at the same time.
I did this with 2 ps4's. My daughter and I would play Elden Ring with her using her account on my primary, and me using the 2nd ps4 under my psn. The problem now is figuring it out with 2 ps4's and a ps5. I have the game on all 3 machines, but idk if I can get online on ps5 with another psn.
I don’t think they encouraged it back then but I guess now they just wanna make it easier for others and give a proper/safer way of doing it since people lost their accounts to strangers tryna do this

They need to expand this for the DLC! Some games like Cod will only benefit 1 account. Will never buy a vault edition again, and that goes for many Deluxe editions in general!
Dlc for bo4 and everything else works for my brothers account but when i bought the vault edition for mw3z he couldnt play the beta even with my account primary on his ps5. I was lowk annoyed but then realized what if this is a new thing eith even the main game. Screw activision for their bs cod hq app
it would be broken. People could just share the account with the vault edition to people that don't have it so they can add everything it includes to their account and after that they just use normal version. You could share vault edition contents to possibly an unlimited amount of people
As long as its an actutal DLC and not a microtransaction (like a gun skin bundle), then it works. Like even preorder bonus work for me and my friend game sharing
Did something change, or why is this news? Both PS and Xbox have this feature, allowing up to one other console to share purchased games and PS+/Game Pass. Been doing this for years making digital purchases worth more than physical since it can effectively count as two licenses. 👍
@siontimmy1 that's only true if you don't have that Xbox assigned as your home Xbox. If you assign it as your home Xbox, anyone can sign in that Xbox to play your games without you signing in.
Remember on ps3 you can activate two systems but on PS4 they reverted to one activation system. Good times on ps3 when many of your friends or family gameshare all the main games and dlc for free to play when you don’t have to spend a penny on a game 😩

However you don’t need to deactivate so you can enable your account back and they’ll disable whoever you gameshare with. So apparently they changed it so you’ll have to go to website to deactivate and that the only thing they changed. It’s still limited to 1 console since day 1

It's kind of scary how many people don't understand this video. No, guys, what you're referring to is still a bannable offense. You are not supposed to share your games on another person's console. It's stated clearly in the beginning, it's sharing digital games in YOUR CONSOLE with other users using said console. I'm honestly surprised this has to be said? Like, what is this video for? On every console ever that's had digital games, this has been a thing, because it'd be pretty stupid not to be the case. Households with multiple users would never purchase digital, only physical, because with one disc, everyone can play. But yeah, don't misinterpret this video. This is not what you think it is, and sharing an account for another user to use THEIR console to play your games is still bannable under TOS
My bad experience was the following and I publish it in this comment as a warning. I very confidently and ignorantly bought a game called Chivalry 2 and when I downloaded it to play it I got the unpleasant surprise that I needed to have an active PS Plus subscription, that is, in addition to spending on a game they force you to subscribe to their service to play that game. Quite apart, if I made a mistake due to ignorance, I requested a refund to purchase an essential subscription or buy another game instead of the game and they told me that because I had downloaded the game on my console, a refund was no longer applicable. That seems unfair to me since they have arranged everything to harm the consumer instead of making them feel comfortable. PlayStation has changed against the consumer of its service that is supposed to be for fun. So I warn you that Playstation Store not only raised their prices but also changed their refund policies so be very careful before buying something from them.

In my country, Shopee Sellers sold games for cheaper prices and send accounts to buyer and they will enable the share play one time. Then, just logout of the account and never be use again. This is the flaw within PlayStation consoles to give opportunity for sellers to resell the same game for profit. Please fix this. Imagine seller buy games for $60 and then sold the account to hundreds of buyers and make profit from it. Please make restrictions on how many PS5 consoles that the account can login on.

Yes you are correct. Only thing that is wrong is that after a week or 2 you will get locked out of your games on your ps5. It will say you don’t have the license to the game because you enabled your account on another ps5. I found that if you do get locked just press don’t enable and if that doesn’t work press don’t enable and restart your ps5. It should let you play your games again. When doing this for some reason it will disable your account on your friends ps5 and he will not be able to play your games so he has to enable your account on his ps5 again. Yall can both play the games you shared but like i said after about a week or 2 it will lock you so you have to keep repeating this

I've been doing this with my best bro for years now,I buy 1 game,he buys another,and we both can play both of them,as he's account is set offline in my console and mine in his...or take it as a permanent 50% discount,but more like buy 1 game and get 1 free deal. This is the way...for us to enjoy more games and for Sony to sell more games at full price. That's all fine and dandy but if I have someone else's console set as my offline one for sharing how do I go about being able to play on my actual console offline without having to verify my licenses? Yes and no, this console sharing thing means if you have a ps5 and multiple accounts on that ps5, every account on that ps5 gets to use your games. Its not where you have 2 ps5s and you game share. I say yes and no because you can game share on 2 different ps5s but eventually the one that is disabled will get the games blocked and you can’t play them. Maybe its a bug and they’ll patch it but i found that if you are using on 2 different ps5s the account that gets the games locked all you have to do is press don’t enable again and it should let you play the games again and if that doesn’t work press don’t enable and restart your ps5. It’s not like how game sharing was on ps4/ps3

I've only ever had one PS5 and it constantly told me I've it applied to another PS5 console. I deactivated from all devices, turned everything off and on again, and tried numerous times, but the message still appears. I changed my passwords and checked under devices what is connected to my account and nothing was listed. I completely removed all my stuff from it and sold it. Got my son a PS5, he used my account and it's still saying it's on another console. Tried the remote deactivation and the option isn't there. This is extremely frustrating. His sister set up an account on his PS5 to play games with him but they're all locked out. I've zero ideas as to what to do now. In 40 years of gaming, I've never encountered anything quite like this vague confusing mess.
Not acquainted with PS Xbox gamer here. Does this mean that before, each digital game was locked to the account which bought/subscribed to it? This wasn't a standard?
Does anyone know: If I own two PS5’s and I have one set as primary and the other as not - if I play on the one that’s not primary, will my games saves still auto-upload to the cloud? Or does that only work on the Primary console? I know on the PS4, that’s how it worked. Thanks!
Now we just need an option to disable the "Remote Play Connected" message when using PC to Stream PS5 games to friends on Discord. I really don't need to be reminded at ALL TIMES that Remote Play is connected, Atleast give the option to make that message disappear after 30 seconds or something I really don't want to invest into an expensive Capture Card just to share gameplay with my friends. 💀

The most feature i love on my PS5 is offline play 💙👍🏻.

It’s really the bare minimum when it comes to gaming. You buy it, you should be able to play it offline.

I think because that its a hidden feature that many don't know anything about. Its always good as a reminder.
It's the same as it always was. This account does tutorials for most ps functions so I guess there still wasn't one about this

On ps3 you could have 5 people activate it. They later changed it to 2 and then 1 on ps4 sadly.

And are we able to play at the same time? E.g i play GTA and he plays fall guys on my account? Or what if im playing Avatar and he wants to play Spider on my account? Thanks

No, guys, what you're referring to is still a bannable offense. You are not supposed to share your games on another person's console. It's stated clearly in the beginning, it's sharing digital games in YOUR CONSOLE with other users using said console.
I'm honestly surprised this has to be said? Like, what is this video for? On every console ever that's had digital games, this has been a thing, because it'd be pretty stupid not to be the case. Households with multiple users would never purchase digital, only physical, because with one disc, everyone can play.
But yeah, don't misinterpret this video. This is not what you think it is, and sharing an account for another user to use THEIR console to play your games is still bannable under TOS

My bad experience was the following and I publish it in this comment as a warning. I very confidently and ignorantly bought a game called Chivalry 2 and when I downloaded it to play it I got the unpleasant surprise that I needed to have an active PS Plus subscription, that is, in addition to spending on a game they force you to subscribe to their service to play that game. Quite apart, if I made a mistake due to ignorance, I requested a refund to purchase an essential subscription or buy another game instead of the game and they told me that because I had downloaded the game on my console, a refund was no longer applicable. That seems unfair to me since they have arranged everything to harm the consumer instead of making them feel comfortable. PlayStation has changed against the consumer of its service that is supposed to be for fun. So I warn you that Playstation Store not only raised their prices but also changed their refund policies so be very careful before buying something from them.

The size difference is actually pretty significant if you put them side by side. Especially if you take off the disc drive since it's modular now.

In my country, Shopee Sellers sold games for cheaper prices and send accounts to buyer and they will enable the share play one time. Then, just logout of the account and never be use again. This is the flaw within PlayStation consoles to give opportunity for sellers to resell the same game for profit. Please fix this.
Imagine seller buy games for $60 and then sold the account to hundreds of buyers and make profit from it. Please make restrictions on how many PS5 consoles that the account can login on.

Yes you are correct. Only thing that is wrong is that after a week or 2 you will get locked out of your games on your ps5. It will say you don’t have the license to the game because you enabled your account on another ps5. I found that if you do get locked just press don’t enable and if that doesn’t work press don’t enable and restart your ps5. It should let you play your games again. When doing this for some reason it will disable your account on your friends ps5 and he will not be able to play your games so he has to enable your account on his ps5 again. Yall can both play the games you shared but like i said after about a week or 2 it will lock you so you have to keep repeating this

That part is what makes me so mad if I don't have internet I can't play my games.... Yes and no, this console sharing thing means if you have a ps5 and multiple accounts on that ps5, every account on that ps5 gets to use your games. Its not where you have 2 ps5s and you game share. I say yes and no because you can game share on 2 different ps5s but eventually the one that is disabled will get the games blocked and you can’t play them. Maybe its a bug and they’ll patch it but i found that if you are using on 2 different ps5s the account that gets the games locked all you have to do is press don’t enable again and it should let you play the games again and if that doesn’t work press don’t enable and restart your ps5. It’s not like how game sharing was on ps4/ps3

I've only ever had one PS5 and it constantly told me I've it applied to another PS5 console. I deactivated from all devices, turned everything off and on again, and tried numerous times, but the message still appears. I changed my passwords and checked under devices what is connected to my account and nothing was listed. I completely removed all my stuff from it and sold it.
Got my son a PS5, he used my account and it's still saying it's on another console. Tried the remote deactivation and the option isn't there. This is extremely frustrating. His sister set up an account on his PS5 to play games with him but they're all locked out. I've zero ideas as to what to do now. In 40 years of gaming, I've never encountered anything quite like this vague confusing mess.
