I’ve shot Mathews mustang youth bow when I was 13. Upgraded to z7 when I was 15 and shot that bow till I was 27. bought the lift this year and love it. Big upgrade from my z7
This is hilarious, Most if not all manufactures have had or will have production issues at some point on one or more of their products. This includes ALL other archery manufacturers. It doesnt make them "junk". Looks like Mathews is standing behind their product. Have or will you see Ford, GMC or Dodge do this? . They dont stand behind shit!
Mathews is the master of Marketing, they took a huge negative and turned it into a positive. But I'll stay away from lifts, no point it risking a hunt for a bow that isn't any better than any other flagship bow.
Matt McPearson knows how to maintain his customer base plus add new customers due to his integrity. Awesome job Matthews. I purchased my most recent bow from you Zach back in January and it was a Hoyt Alpha X 30, however, my previous bow was a Matthews and it was lethal. I just felt better shooting the AlphaX versus the Lift. Keep up the great work in the shop as well as the You Tube content.
My lift 33 got a small splinter just shy of 6k shots. Majority of the shots were 29" 70lb, last 1k were 29" 75lb. Splinter didn't affect the tune, poundage or get any bigger while I waited for my new limbs.
They always go above and beyond. There’s a reason they always outsell every other manufacturer by a long shot. Quality products and even better customer service
Hey man love the channel, I live here in Connecticut and I was unfortunately one of the splintered limb customers .quick question for you , how assured can I be that this will not happen again ? Have you seen any splits on replacement limbs ? I emailed Mathew’s customer service asking them and they sent me a “you should be good to go “ response. Needless to say I was not very reassured . Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for what y’all do. Ttyl
So this has been going on for a while and as a retailer you just now bring it up after you receive the letter. Does that mean that this issue that seems to be happening to a lot of people, would have continued? I would be upset if you sold me this without telling me. Not sure why some are hiding the problem. It should be surfaced as soon at the problem was known. Also, are you still selling these to customers? Are they buying it after you tell them? This seems odd. I don’t think we have the full picture.
funny my dealer put all 4 limbs back in my case and said i was gonna throw them away if you didnt want them. i guess he didnt know he was supposed to send them back to mathews. that being said my bow was his first lift with the limb issue.
Originally, we were not informed we had to send them back. Matthews later contacted us to let us know that all limbs being replaced were to be sent back.
200 percent design issue not material. There’s been MANY replacement limbs break. 100s of them. They havent fixed the issue I spoke to Mathews directly and word for word less than 3 weeks ago “No sir the new limbs are NO DIFFERENT than the original limbs on your bow we have changed anything”
Same thing happens to every manufacturer, the average costumer just doesn't see it. Same thing happened when Gorden Glass changed owners, it was a nightmare for awhile. Bad limb batches happen, at least Mathews is willing to stand behind their stuff. 100's of limbs is nothing for the volume that's out there.
@@ArchersAnonymous-nb4ym just like Gordon glass and bowtech it was simply a design flaw. Laminated limbs in the heat come apart (bowtech) at that time.
@@jwild5360 Mathews said it was a bad lot of limbs and the dealers were working thru them. Bowtech was just fine with the same limbs after the caught the problem too. We'll have to agree to disagree 🤷
My thing is this. If they know what “batch” is bad and what bows they’re on. They should preemptively ship replacements out to those retailers so the end user should not be waiting weeks for the fix. Imagine if you finally after 3 years get them $$$$ elk tags out west spending hours and hours, and a lot of money and you get out there and right before the hunt, your limbs crack, or at the draw on the elk of a lifetime and it cracks and the shot goes wrong causing a “poor shot”. With them saying they know the bad batch and what bows they’re on, they should just replace them before it happens and ruins a hunt and causes the hunter a bad shot or unethical kill or worse, wounds the animal and they go to waste…for the hunter but other animals will eat it. Finally got mine fixed after 3 days of having it before it happened and 3 weeks of waiting for it to “get fixed”, I’m hesitant as can be about even using it for a hunt.
Go back to solid limb bows mathews , used to be true when you said catch us if you can now everyone has .. go back to your roots and offer a solo cam again too
I loved the Mathews solo cam but with a solo cam you can only do so much which is why they had to change. They will go back in speed and tuning. The general public won’t buy it compared to another big brand but I did love the smooth draw of a solo cam
One put on a shirt that actually fits you, too. Do you ever let your arms relax straight to your sides? I get it. You're big but dang. Quit holding your hands up and talking like Ricky. Bobby from Talladega nights.
Split limbs have been around for a while. My 2019 PSE Evoke 35 has split limbs and not one issue. Had a lift for 3 days, maybe 60-70 shots, before they split. Took 3 weeks roughly to get it back. Not sure if I’m gonna sell it since the warranty follows the bow or take my chances. I’d hate to ruin the shot of a lifetime because of it
@@IZZYR23 exploding limbs? Ya no that’s completely normal. Hahahhah. I know I won’t be relying on a Mathew’s when I have a 150” in front of me. Last thing I need is to miss an opportunity because the limbs blew apart. But hey each their own. Enjoy!
@IZZYR23 Agreed. I'm not sure a handful of bad limbs in a sea of good bows constitutes Mathews products being junk. Giving Lift limbs a lifetime passdown warranty to literally anyone that ever owns that bow is just proof that Mathews cares unconditionally about folks that shoot their bows. A class act, if you ask me.
@@symphonicrage8211 I disagree. That’s awful. For 1 they are WAYYYYY more than a handful of bad limbs. You clearly haven’t done your research 2 big deal about the hand me down warranty! But all you wanna be flat brimmed Chris bee lovers will say otherwise! Hahhaha I shoot the v3 27” and love it BUT I will never touch another Mathew’s bow.
@@Briguy933 Alright, I'll take your word that you're more informed on the amount of failed limbs than I am. So, what's the percentage of limb failures vs total bows sold? I sympathize with your points about potentially failed hunts because of bow issues. That's fair enough reasoning to stray away from a particular bow. Given that they've fixed the issue and corrected any failures that did occur under warranty, I'd be confident buying a newly manufactured Lift off the shelf today and hunting with it. I am far from a Mathew's elitist. I owned primarily Hoyt bows until last year when I bought my Phase 4. I do not care for Chris Bee or what he is associated with, and I assure you, none of my hats have flat brims lol. I just think that the way Mathew's has handled a fault in their manufacturing process shows good on them. Nothing more, nothing less.
Standing behind the product, from the factory, to the bow shop. That's more noteworthy than it should be. Great job, Matthews.

make the limbs like the creed 11 year later my limbs never cracked
Makes it tougher to purchase a second hand one. They'll hold there value a little more.
