This team did so well! They definitely got the hardest final quest though 😅
Depends how you look at it. I could knock out four of the seven within three minutes on red dead 2
I could see there being a tournament where 3-4 teams compete on the same list to make it fair.
Maybe for season 2 or as a season finale for the top teams?
I don't mind the unbalanced-ness that is part of the game though.
A shame about the technical difficulties taking them from clear prospects for a blazing first place, to out of the top three... but that's part of the game! They performed admirably and I hope to see them again.

Yes, okay! I remembered to write down what I would do for quests before watching the full video. Here we go.
Catch 5 fish - This week I'm in Skyrim. No, there's no fishing minigame or anything. I'm going into a river and picking up fish with my bare hands. That surely counts.
Spend the night in a camp - Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, that takes like 30 seconds.
Score 3 goals - I don't know why this came to mind, but I'm pulling up a flash game favorite of mine, Crunchball 3000. It'll take a sec to relearn but shouldn't be hard.
Take a picture of a boat: Hitman, load into Sapienza, done.
Kill 5 rodents - If a rat-man counts as a rodent, and it surely should, I'm going for my #1 recurring game, Total War Warhammer 3, and it's Skaven slaying time.
Complete a tutorial - Pretty sure the Helldivers 2 one is repeatable, and pretty quick. That's my first thought.
Get drunk - It only takes one ale to get drunk in Dark and Darker. Very easy.
Go out-of-bounds - Golf with your Friends, hit the ball off the course. That's out of bounds.
Play a video game within a video game - I thought you had me for a second, I was stumped, but I figured it out. Tabletop Simulator. I drop a tablet on the table, then load up a videogame on a website, and play.
Perform 5 unique jumps - not sure what that means to be honest. Thankfully I think that's pretty easy for me, because I'm a wrestling fan. WWE 2K24, we have a Moonsault, Frog Splash, Flying Elbow Drop, Shooting Star Press, and Seated Senton (a lot more than that too, those just came to mind immediately). Moonsault is a backflip, so I've got that covered.
(Skipping to the end just to see the final quest real quick)
7 deadly sins? Well Isaac doesn't exactly commit the sins by killing the bosses, so this could be tough.
Pride- kill someone in Dark and Darker and teabag them.
Greed- Loot a bunch of stuff in Dark and Darker
Wrath- I just killed someone in Dark and Darker
Envy- inspect someone in Dark and Darker and be jealous of their gear?
Lust- Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, my current playthrough has like 3 people who I've gotten far enough in their romance to be able to do this easily.
Gluttony- Palworld, eat a bunch of food
Sloth- does it count if, once ice loaded up Palworld, I just lay in a bed and do nothing for a while?
This week seemed pretty easy, at least for me. Based on the length of this video, I think I actually could've beaten the team of 3.
There IS a fishing mini game in Skyrim now! I have it on the switch and it IS there
Glad I wasn't the only person who immediately thought of Hitman for the boat one.
7 extra quests might be a little unfair, but they pulled their weight.
Quest recommendation since I'm not a Discord Lad until my pc is fixed:
- Get an "Epic" item, must be in item description
- Eat an Apple
- Summon a Mount
- Get set on fire
- Defend a construct
- Survive a wave
- Clear a level, without killing anyone

Catch 5 fish: Probably Animal Crossing would be my go-to.
Spend the Night in a Camp: Don't Starve could be good?
Score 3 Goals: Rocket League
Take a picture of a boat: Hitman, load up like... the one that's in the forest on an island that has all the fishermen in it? Can't remember the map name. Or maldives maybe?
Kill 5 Rodents: Oblivion was my first thought lol. Maybe kill some bats in something? BotW maybe?
Go out-of-bounds: Minecraft, creative mode break through the bedrock at the bottom of the world?
Play a video game within a video game: The arcade game in Borderlands 3
Perform 5 unique jumps: Skate or Tony Hawk or something would be easy.
Noita would've knocked out a bunch:
Get drunk: Jump in/drink alchohol
Complete a tutorial: If the buttons on the rocks at the beginning count, boom instant W
Greed: Go get the greed perk in the tree at the beginning that curses you.
Gluttony: eat stuff until you explode.
Wrath: Kill something on berzerkium or anger the gods.
Pride: maybe fight an early boss and get stomped, if that counts. Seems pretty prideful.
Lust: Pheremone maybe? Everything gets hearts over their heads. Maybe a stretch.
for the last 2 sins:
Sloth: Maybe get the "stay in the office" ending in stanley parable
Envy: Isn't there a Jealous mood in the sims? That ones tough though lol.
The irony of repeatedly sleeping through days in Stardew as the sin of sloth when it's the speedrun technique 🤣
I think now there's a few times on the board, it would be kind of nice if there was something to indicate where in the leaderboard they were, e.g. starting with the timer in gold, then silver, then bronze, then...whatever the default colour is I guess. Or just a little bar with the current top three times if that's easier.

"Grow hair" should have been one of the quests for this group lol.
Can I just say how insane it is that the quests are so well balanced, that 4 / 5 teams are so close to each other timewise? Kudos, Baer!

the fact that some of these quests have obvious games that could be played is great like killing 5 rodents super easy if you have vermintide

Who here is so old that they were screaming Fallout 1/2 for rodent kills? 😂
For this questline, I think I'd do the following:
* Pokemon Legends Arceus for Catch Five Fish and Kill Five Rodents. Just go into an area and throw balls at fish slash aggress Pikachus.
* Tiny Rogues for Spend a Night in Camp (technically when you boot up the game; if this doesn't count, clear a level and hang out at the campfire), Get Drunk, and Rodents only if I'm lucky.
* Pokemon Violet for Score Three Goals since there's a giant soccer field in a town.
* A Hat in Time for Take a Picture of a Boat.
* Hypnospace Outlaw for Clear a Tutorial. If I could convince the host that digital pets are Game Within a Game, that one too.
* If prior result isn't valid for Game within a Game, hope I have a spare file for UT Yellow to play the arcade. If not, play some solitaire in Tabletop Sim.
* Out of Bounds is the hardest one for me but I think I go for the game that enforces it in its mechanics, ie Anodyne 2.
* 5 Unique Jumps is one I choose Pseudoregalia for. You can do all sorts of jumps in that game, backflips included.
For the Seven Deadly Sins:
* I immediately go back to Pseudoregalia and take off Sybil's pants for Lust. If this doesn't count, speedrun Disco Elysium until I can make the main character say "I want to have fuck with you."
* Play Greed Mode as Keeper in BoI for, well, Greed.
* Undertale for Pride, Gluttony, and Wrath all in one fell swoop by making a fresh file and doing intended Genocide all the way to Toriel (with Pride being checking myself in the mirror- It's you!).
* Finally, boot up Skullgirls and win against Filia as Fukua for Envy.
this will never get old!

It might be better to have a checklist for the final quest when it has multiple tasks like this one. That would make it much easier to keep track of what was completed.

Hitman 3 World of Assassination Freelancer mode: suspect camera + coastal map = picture of boat. Bada bing bada boom, I can see why they call this game assassination 3

that final quest was really good and it would be funny if teams tried to be the most efficiently sinful
take a picture of a boat - Beyond Good & Evil would be my pick. such a wonderful game with a phenomenal camera mechanic. hoping to see the game featured in of these episodes for sure!
edit: lust - I'd start a romance cutscene in Dragon Age Inquisition. not that I have save files right before them or anything. cough.
Never been so early here before let's go Side Quests
I always like to think of what I would do with these. for example, play a game inside of a game. for example, for Game within a game, in the original System Shock there is a tribute to Wing Commander that you can play in the HUD.
I actually don't think the difficulty of the last tast was what prevented them from placing higher. Dad having tech issues for about five minutes meant they were down a player compared to other teams. I think if he was there to work on lust they had a chance at first and almost certainly would have been top 3.

my idea for fish and pic of boat was dredger its super easy to do the fish one with the cursed powers and boat pic is easy as well
I think Ray nevarez jr would be a great addition definitely put a good effort in for that top spot
The only game I can think of that has both an in-game camera and a boat is Outer Wilds (for some definitions of both)
Moles are part of the Talpidae family. Skwerls are definitely Rodentia, though!
my immediate though for out of bounds was wii golf

Apparently moles are in the same family as hedgehogs and shrews, which are rodent adjacent, but not exactly rodents.
They got so close! I'm hoping to see an upset and team unity knocked off the podium (even tho I like everyone on team unity)

I like the idea of this final quest but it didn't work for me in practice. It was hard to follow and too subjective

Helldivers 2 would have been great for video game within video game. You don't even really have to play, just load onto your cruiser and play Strategem Hero
