Deep dive into Methane SIBO bloating & constipation

It shouldn't surprise anyone that antibiotics for SIBO "problems" aren't fixing all the problems.
Helping the gut needs to be a top down approach. If the stomach is a wreck and you do "fix" the small intestine with antibiotics you are still going to remain badly bloated. But let's dive into methane SIBO constipation and bloating.
We can all agree that the digestive system is all connected, right? Therefore, doesn't it stand to reason that if you only hit one part of the gut other issues will remain?
Low stomach acid causes SIBO problems. So, if you don't address low stomach acid as part of your plan you are likely to remain bloated with all the other discomforts.
Gastritis is caused by SIBO. So, if you have gastritis but do address the SIBO then you will still remain bloated and uncomfortable.
SIBO is a dysmotility issue. Even if you have diarrhea/loose stools, you can still have slow motility problems. For example you can have gastroparesis (slow motility of the stomach) and diarrhea together.
Guess what causes candida overgrowth (SIFO)? Slow motility, a weak immune system, AND gut bacteria imbalances. If antibiotics cause imbalances of the gut then guess what happens after you have nuked your gut with antibiotics? You have a higher probability of candida overgrowth. Candida overgrowth causes bloating (bad bloating).
SIBO stands for (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). Hydrogen is converted to methane by archeae, not bacteria. Antibiotics (like Rifaximin) for bacterial overgrowth may not knock out the archeae issues like you need.
For those of you that had raving success with antibiotics for SIBO problems and the SIBO problems never came back that is fantastic. That's great. For everyone else, maybe taking a top down approach is best.
