I am one of the people this case was made for. My PCs sit under my desk and out of sight, I have zero need for clear side panels and/or rave party lighting and LESS than zero need to pay for such features. Please Corsair, keep models like this in your case lineup.

Thing is, turning off the keyboard lighting completely would suck for me because of the reduced contrast between the keys and the lettering. I keep the lighting on my K75 Lux and my M65 Pro at a static "terminal window" green :)
Done something similar on mine - I've turned mine down to a dull white which has the benefit of seeing the keys clearly in the dark. I really can't be bothered with rgb around my pc and my wife is the complicate opposite and she likes her pc all flashing and rainbows

only the front is kinda dumb. All mesh and black would still be subtle but improve the airflow a lot.

Where is the optical drive bay and the space behind the motherboard for cables, yes and some people still use CDs and DVDs. The Corsair 200R is good needs dust and high feet for the carpet.

Now this is a contender! I'm on the hunt for a super quiet case for my Asus ProArt B550 Creator Mobo and 5950X. I do music production and can't have a PC making noise as it could ruin a mix. I don't need RGB (GOD I hate that!), nor a stupid window to see components (who ever invented that?!). I don't even need to look at the PC - just needs to work out of sight and especially out of hearing ;)
Was hoping to find out how many dB's this produces on its own before GPU and CPU fans.
To create truly quiet cases, I wish they'd hire a person who is highly trained in acoustic treatments and knows the math - instead of just putting foam on the sides and quiet fans. Airtight double panels, spring bottoms, unparallel surfaces, etc would all help make it quieter and are the very basics of controlling sound.
Still, this is on my list ;)

While I don't dislike tempered glass and RGB, I don't find it necessary for my personal build. Just got it, can't wait to build in it.
Hello Corsair. With "Silent" being one of the most important features advertised on this case, how does it compare with the 330R Blackout Edition in terms of noise dampening? Thanks

I just upgraded my CPU and it came with a Gammaxx 400 CPU cooler. The Gammaxx is too tall for my current mini tower case, so I am interested in upgrading the case to a mid tower. Will a tall cpu cooler like the Gammaxx fit inside this case? Oh, I am pleased to see there is a case that is not about showcasing the RGB!
A dust filter for the top costs so little to produce and makes the case so much better. no way corsair!

Hello, I am debating between this case and the fractal design C. Their front panel is similar which is no a plain black, but some kinda scratched gray that I don't like. In this video it looks black on yours but in pictures it is not. Is there and option i can choose a plain black?
There's enough room for cables behind the motherboard?
Also, how's the airflow?

I love the idea of updating the Obsidian line, I just have no idea what they could do to improve it.
Ok, one idea, "Removable Motherboard Tray".
Also, on a completely different subject, try making a "Wall Mount Frame" that lets you just mount your Motherboard, GPU and PSU onto a single wall stud. Mounting my GPU to "nothing" was the hardest part of my wall mount build.
I should get some sound dampening material for my obsidian 350d.
Their older cases like the obsidian 350d, 450d, 750d, 900d could do with a tempered glass upgrade...
But why does it have a vertical gpu slot?

i just got my new PC with this Corsair Carbide. Can i just leave the loose sound dampening part on top of the PC? Or do i have to fear the PC won't get enough air circulation and overheat?
1:11 aren't the radiator fans mounted incorrectly for the airflow path that is depicted?
Is it possible to use with the Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi? I see in the manual that the maximum CPU height is 170 mm. What does it mean?

why only black colour? i want white/grey colour as well, I want 5.25'' , I want thicker noise reduction material and not only on sides and up, also on front panel as well and bottom
I think there is no shroud in this case.
But I won't complain since it does hurt thermal perfomance of GPU.
Also, can you just open up the front panel abit more?
You only need a shroud to hide the psu in a windowed build. this has no window so no need for a shroud.

I have this case, its beautiful, but the 3 white "headlight" LED's are really unnecessary, you cant even turn them off and when the PC is in sleep mode, they flicker. Because if you put your PC in sleep mode, you want to be constantly distracted by flashing lights...
I'm thinking of just cutting the wires. so the LED's are never on.

Corsair - you doing still wrong botton dust filter - it should be removable to the front of case !!!
PeterMac83 They have removable filters at the front, between the panel and the front of the fans.
Going by what's on the market, bottom filter removal from the front is apparently a 'premium' feature you have to pay more for.
Just get a 275R but have no rgb lighting and it'll be the same thing almost for $15 less
IK but this case has a lot of sound dampening (and they couldn't even include a dust filter option for the top as ruins the aesthetics for those people who put a radiator or fans up there as by leaving the included panel on there will allow no air to go through the top)
I hate tempered glass on a pc build. Especially rgb. That’s just me.

Corsair, you already had a better case - Carbide 330R - and you replace it with this crap. Top-positioned USB/power, instead at the front, and no front-door for easy dust filter cleaning. I would buy another one if you would still sell 330R!

Hell no. I don't even want a storage drive activity light. I miss the glory days of Lian Li when they released classy looking non-windowed brushed aluminium cases that didn't make your PC look like a toy designed for a kid with ADHD.
Sound-activated cathode lighting might've been cool when I was 15, getting to watch the lights blast away to a metal tune, but at 33 I think I've outgrown the bullshit gimmicks.
