It looks amazing, I like how it uses a big powerful modern V8 in an old muscle car, but I would still keep the 454 (7.4L) because it was the most powerful muscle car in 1970, this was essentially the C7 ZR1 of it’s day. Besides the engine looks really small in there. Still cool though
As a young dumb kid with no mechanical skills I owned a 70 Chevelle. Calling it a project was kind.. I needed a lot of help. Had to sell it cause I was broke, needed money and was way in over my head with the car needing repairs. Ironically, being forced to sell it made me determined to learn how to work on cars and ultimately led me to go to automotive school. Nearly 20 years now as a technician, at one point a Lexus Master technician. Chevelles now are just retardedly expensive, even as rolling chassis projects. But I got a 73 Nova project and for now, thats all I need.

I’m all for modernizing it. However, if someone took an original 454 ss and just yanked the 454 just because….that’s just wrong. If the engine was bad, I’d understand. Man, I hope that 454 is somewhere near that it could be put back in if wanted.
Ya but the kind of person that can afford to do that doesn’t care about numbers matching. I’ll bet there’s nearly 6 figures in parts, and another 6 figures in labor. That said, I’d still do it. I have a 72 with a 454bbc and 4 speed manual, and if I could afford to do this, I’d do it in a heartbeat.
No F-ing Way!! IF it is the original drive train , you do all the hi-performance parts you want to do to that engine and leave it in the car. IF you supercharge that 454 and build it correctly, you can get 700-800HP out of that 454. 👍
Agree, There's plenty of 70 chevelles they can restomod. I like a good restomod but let's leave the good cars with the good engine they came with. This one doesn't make any sense. They were careful to keep an original cahsis without doing a full chassis swap but yet they swap the whole engine out. Not sure what happened on this car for the decision that we're made.
I wanna drive my car and if it needs modern suspension and drive Train to make it badass , so be it. But mine is an automatic , so if you put a 6 speed tranny in it , now I can slap stick through gears one by one. Just makes the car more fun to drive. IMO

In a 70 Chevelle especially, such a missed opportunity for an LSx454.....

I'm with you. They should just get a less valuable car and make a hypo out of it.

Nice build, rifles and muscle cars gotta Luv it!
Nice
Beautiful car as great job
Sweet car
Did I miss hearing the price on this car?
It would've made more sense if it was a malibu but a true SS. Unless it lost it's guts long ago. Otherwise what was you guys thinking?
How much did this SS COST or is it for sale
225k
There are cars as nice that started worse. I dig it
Pool boy, creative director, and predator elimination specialist... what can't he do?!
Freakin’ Awesome!

Thanks!
How are you able to keep the hide away wipers with the Detroit speed wiper motor
Fabricate new transmission arms

@@tavorisb1192 I’d need the car to get the ratio correct
Nice 👌🏼
Is this car for sale ??
Everything is for sale for the right price.
Is this for sale
Everything is for sale for the right price.
I do love the car but hate the idea of all the mods on a 70 SS 454 car.

The naked eye you’ll never be able to tell. I would love to have a old classic with modern suspension & handling
Beautiful car and super clean and beautiful work , lol love the video you do it all poolman, exterminator 😂
He’s very multi talented. You should see the things we can’t show on UA-cam that he’s good at.

@protouringtexas
Your joking, right? 😂😂
A REAL mint condition 70 Chevelle with 454 original drive train numbers matching is not 225 K
All you guys did was wreck. A perfectly nice car. Leave it original. Go buy your foreign electric cars. Play with them.😡
Let the butthurt flow thru you....
