Beautiful as always, thanks for another wonderful creation, I’m a big fan of your work, I’m up to date watched all your videos, so keep on creating, so very happy your channel is growing fast Congratulations ❤
What fun! I played along with my 8x10 plate and black and red sharpies. My message was "Love Life," which I managed to write backward, LOL. Mine is not a standalone print. I'm getting ready to add a light, translucent layer over stencils made out of Post-its. This is a great warmup/loosen-up exercise. Thanks!
I have a website bookmarked on my phone that helps me reverse or mirror text, but I'm still experimenting with text in general on my monoprints. I have traditionally collaged text on top of the print. I really like what you did here. I am inspired by the way your text turned out. Thank you (as always) for sharing your art process.
@@lizday8140 The writing project has got me thinking now. How about writing in crayon on paper then sweeping pastel or even wet paint across for background and transferring to bare plate for an opposite lift?
Fulton you mentioned ball point pen - have you tried using ball point pen as a kind of resist? If you draw heavily onto a piece of paper, stick that down on the gel plate and GENTLY press, and pull up you'll be left with a pattern you can then pull.
Hi Beth, I've watched Yeates Makes use a ballpoint pen as a tool, Somehow it doesn't appeal to me. It is way to fine a point in relation to the large scale of my plate, it is rigid and unforgiving since it is a sharp point made of metal. Maybe it is more appropriate for realistic art. That's my 2 cents.
@@artwhisperer88 I watched this today and thought of you, from 2.20 is what caught my attention. I know you would like a finer point, these give a finer and a thicker than your sharpie in one pen. Kattvalk and Ohuhu: 😊 ua-cam.com/video/QMAu_eO7NLc/v-deo.html
I love that the inspiration is graffiti. Art is all around us.
A very happy print. Even the scribbles are happy!
😂 love that it is like looking in the mirror. That is one way we see that "life is short".

Thanks Milly, you are the best!

You might enjoy the gel plate community over at PM Artist Studio
As always love you work!
Always interesting to watch, something was happening with the paint, your scribbles also pulled much cleaner and strongly than usual, nice result.
Absolutely wonderful. So incredibly vibrant. A show stopper!
I was so hoping you would pull that last print you left on your previous video and you did!
Me, too!
always learn something new from you... thank you so much for sharing your experiments!
Glad you like them!
That was an interesting piece of art. Thanks for sharing with us ❤

@@lizday8140 Wow - thanks, Liz! I will try these out. 👍
@@lizday8140 Please consider making a how-to video with the foil technique!
I struggle with different writing techniques.
Transfer of pastel written on cardboard is one of the better ones.
