I keep coming back to this every time I have to self-soothe. Sometimes getting a late reply can trigger my fear of abandonment which ik something that I have to work on. And i am just sad that I had to self sooth every time I hear someone argue or raise their voice at me. Sometimes I just want someone to do it for me, to hug me and reassure me
Please, just know that you're not alone. Many others, including myself, are going through this and to be honest, it's tiring, and feels pointless, and sometimes I want to give before I've even _started._ ...But we can do it all together. You don't always have to be feeling your strongest, or doing better than the day before. As long as you're still continuing, still pushing on, even if you can only give the tiniest of efforts... then that's a true show of your strength. No matter how small your achievements are, it's still something to be proud of. Even if someone _else_ tells you they're only tiny achievements, the reason is that they most likely haven't been through what you've been through and so can never truly, fully hope understand exactly how it feels. I know you can keep going. Even if the effort you muster is the effort to get out of bed for even a few minutes, then that's still effort and you should feel proud of it. Forget what others say when they try to make you feel down, or guilty, about needing time to heal. We're all human, and humans weren't made to work jobs or be under constant pressure, or live in horrible situations, or be guilt-tripped for taking a break (from the very things we weren't made to do) or be shamed for needing the necessary time to heal. So never feel bad for it, okay? It's tough, but... try to have hope that it'll all be okay in the end, bud. Wishing all the best to you, and happy late New Years' :)

So far any calm music i find or sleep meditation sounds haven't worked yet until i came across this.. there is something about this sound that does the trick. love it.

Hey it's me and you will be meditating. And we will meditate for 45 minutes. Now let's start breathing, but first get into a comfy posien. Let your legs stretch out. Now let's start. Breath In from the nose and out from the mouth and repeat. Now let's do 10 breaths for in and out. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10. Now fell the body while still breathing. Notice the whole body going up and falling down. Just notice how thoughts are in your head then let the breathing stop the thoughts but if the mind has to think. let it think and just breath as the thoughts and the struggles in your head just drift like striped clouds. Just breath. Just breath.
this helps a lot, and still, im even distracted by eg. a number i write down. "3" ... "that went well, looks good, you should fill the entire page with "3's" just to recreate a very nice looking "3" ... " Sadly youre mid-task (not even complicated ... ) - you cant just ignore the task and fill pages with a number, just because this one time it looked really beautifully written .. Its really difficult to work properly, and im thankful that some stimuli, like this calming sound, help reducing the mind wander off every second ...
