Wow bud, what a start the freight trains 🚆 coming around the corner in that beautiful scenery, and when it arrives the raw power 🔋, and a long beasts, very dramatic, & very cool 😎 that was absolutely awesome great 👌 👍 viewing 👌, longer please 🙏 🙏🙏🙏
This first train had 7 locomotives, almost 30,000 horsepower... The weight of the train was probably over 25,000 tons... and 3 Miles long. This is impossible in Europe...
Great catches and as always another awesome video Dave. I see fall is in full swing and living in the Rockies most of my life I know the bitter cold is right around the corner stay warm out there and thanks again. By the way that was a real nice catch on the power move.
Thank you Tucker! It is indeed, we got our first little dusting of snow on Thursday! Yea, it was cool seeing all those locomotives coming around that corner! Thanks for watching my friend!
1st:DPUs in that area is put in after 100 grain cars. The first were after 111 cars and the 2nd at 112 cars. The 3rd train only had 3 locomotives running.
That gainer was a monster. That manifests with 7 engines, i guess, a power move, not big enough to require that much power. Good catches, Dave. Thanks for the video my friend stay well roll on
Thank you Mark! I think only a couple of those locomotives were working, made for a great shot as they all leaned into that curve though! You are welcome Mark and thanks for watching my friend!
I would think there would be pushers in between. That is the longest rain I have seen them with 5 loco's in front and one in back of the consist. I love watching trains going east or west bound
Great catches, Dave! Well done 👍🏻. Very long train! It's impressive! Hope you have a great day. Today is an important day for the Usa. The Usa deserve a good President.
Thank you Lucia! Hope you have a great day too! Yes, it is a Very important day, hopefully we elect the leader that will take our country in the right direction! Thanks for watching my friend!
how mega grainer crew operated 3 locomotive at middle and 3 locomotive at rear? thankyou very much for sharing railfaning video, stay healthy and stay safe.
Thank you Lanang! The 3 middle and 3 rear locomotives are controlled by the engineer in the lead locomotive. They use radio control, the locomotives in the middle and rear respond to the control inputs from the lead locomotive. The engineer can also control the middle or rear locomotives separately from what the lead locomotive does. Hope that helps and thanks for watching my friend!
@ that’s fine. Pretty safe to say there was over 24 thousand horse power. It was and excellent video. I was a train driver here in Australia for over thirty years. Retired now but still interested. Thank you again.
Now that’s a LONG train!😂
No doubt about it! Thanks for watching my friend!

Fantastic set of catches. That was probably the best BNSF Mega-Grain Train I've seen in a while.
Thank you WH_Railfan84! BNSF is running two to three a week of the mega grainers lately! Thanks for watching my friend!

Mid train DP/230+ loads is a joy to run especially when its -25F. My favorite is loaded sand cars....or as I call it.... a shorty/heavy.
