Corey Harris Once a week would be too much for rinsing. This is meant to remove buildup from washing your hair not clean it. Although I would say check with your loctitian on how much you condition.
l would recommend you only doing this ACV rinse 2 times a year. Once before the cold weather & again at spring time. That way you'll cleanse all the products used on the hair during the cold months & then cleanse again from product & sweat build up from the spring & summer months.
AVC in September or October then again in the spring March or April 2 times a year to remove build up. More then that is to much. Do you comprehend now?

You're right! I started doing the cold water to my butt length locs and my bod. Noticed my locs hold moisturizer, shine better, and the conditioner came out faster during the rising process. My skin started holding moisturizer better and looks firmer.

maybe don't use conditioner... think about it: it helps detangling loose hair, it doesn't rinse completely from locked hair, it really doesn't moisturize the hair. you can use natural humectants like rose water, aloe water, and light oils to seal in moisture
+ccloves birdie that's a huge misconception. Locks need conditioners. It's just that you have to use spray conditioners instead of creamy ones. Creamy conditioners can be used sparingly but a lot of people don't really understand how to properly wash locks to remove residue, what to wash locks with, and what types of products to use to retwist (it should always be a spray product used minimally). Watery leave-in conditioners are ideal. It's best to go in with a clarifying but gentle shampoo then a moisturizing shampoo on wash days.
MsMeya G since coconut oil is a natural anti bacterial and seals in moisture maybe that's less build up than conditioner? I don't know a thing about hair, but I'd imagine from what I know of the oil that it could maybe help?
@@anoelcollection7215 Locks don t need conditioner. Locks need moisturer! All you have to do is research what conditioner is suppose to do. Great Job! I would recommend not using conditioner it will build up and leave a sticky residue. if it is drying your hair try not using the salt, if it is still feeling dry eliminate the baking soda.

Ok. did this last night for the first time ( 12 year old locs) and it was EVERYTHING. What makes me the happiest is that it makes your hair dry INFINITELY faster so if you like to do a braid out but don't wanna wait as long for it to dry.... this is the trick! My hair is super soft (but yes it is veerrrrry drying). If you have old locs you must try this! 💆🏾😍💯🙋🏾🦁
I've been a pro hair dresser for decades. If the water is dirty, your hair will not get any of the minerals, Repeat process until water runs clean OR use a clarifier or baby shampoo before this treatment. You can spray your scalp w diluted acv n rinse. Virgin olive oil is good after to moisturize too. I wish I kept pics of my own lox lol pre youtube! I have pics of my son's ...Also vicks is good to stimulate your pours and many Rasta drinks TIGER MALT. So do I bc of the high biotin, your hair will love you. PEACE!
I did the acv also...and yes I did mine twice but I was 10yrs into my locs ....I was told to do it once a year ...but yes I notice the my locs was soft and my locs are growing a little faster....
acv rinse is wonderful. another level that works if you dont get all build up out is absolut vodka mixed with shampoo. work it in and leave it for 15 min and rinse out. It works! but you MUST do a hot oil treatment after! acv gets out organic buildup and vodka gets out organic and inorganic buildup o ut. your locs are beautiful!
I do mine with orange juice works better for me than the acv/baking soda. Removes build up, dirt and oil without removing any of your natural oils. Cheap, easy and the best thing eva. BTW you have some of the best locs I've ever seen.
Ceterija Barney Of course fresh is best. But I use the bottled and it works just fine, tropicana brand or whatever. Just make sure that it says just orange juice on the ingredients and is pulp free cuz you don't want pulp in your locs. As far as instructions go: You can either fill a pan with the juice and squeeze/soak your locs in it for twenty minutes. Or you can use a less amount by pouring it on your scalp and locs and putting on a baggy (I use a shopping bag) and letting it sit twenty minutes. It will drip so you might want to do this in the shower. After the twenty minutes are up, rinse out with hottish water ( this will remove all the oil and gunk). I use my nails to scrap my scalp because this works so good it will lift up months of dead skin and dandruff that you didn't even think could possibly still be there after regularly shampooing! Lol. So don't be surprised if you have the same thing happen to you. Rinse, squeeze and scrap well. And you're done. You can use this treatment as your shampooing day or before you shampoo. I've done both. And it's safe enough to do once a week or more. This orange juice is so good you guys it even change your tub when your done! Best tub cleanser is putting the stopper in your tub or shower. Sprinkling liberally with some Comet powder and then pour over about a cup and a half of orange juice. Mix with a sponge and leave overnight. When you wake up scrub lightly and rinse. Came up with this from how good I noticed the tub after my treatments. Got the orange juice idea from Indian medicine. I use Ayurveda in everything I do. Hope it works for you too. Let me know if you have questions.😄
Your locs are fabulous! Wish I knew about this recipe to deep cleanse my locs about 2 years ago. I grew them for 13 years. Got tired of the build up and heaviness. Yes they were a big attention getter, but too many people started locking for the wrong reasons. Got a little tired of looking like the crowd.
Blooming Ascension why can't I find her song Lune on the internet anywhere!!?? I used to listen to it all the time now it never comes up when I search it, it's my fav.
I've used ACV rinse for approximately 4 months. The results are amazing. My hair has picked up quite nicely and I don't know what I would do without this regime
Tanya Jackson i think she'll need more like a storage bin with all that hair lbs! i cant wait til my locks reach this stage but im sure ill cut them soon after lol!
I really clicked this video because I just recently bought this exact brand of acv for my locs and unexpectedly fell in love.. Apparently I’m not the only one, thank god it’s not just me!!!!
Great Video. Do you think you can spray this mixture on your hair and let it sit? So you can get all your locs and be more comfortable verse being in the sink?
My mouth literally dropped open when I saw your hair!! I'm 3 months loc'd and had been a loose natural for 5 years prior to so my locs now are about collar length. My goal is you length by my 40th birthday in 4 years.

I try to do an ACV rise every season change, so 3-4 times a year. I also use lots of oils because I live in a dry climate. Wash my hair once to twice a week. 12 years, butt length now, thick, and cut 3 inches(9inches) off in 3 different years. Also bought some of her products, loved the leave in spray. 🥰 Hope she puts out another line.
The colour of that water is the same as 2 days in Spain and Italy. You can scrub your face clean at 8am, by 8pm the towel is actually black when u wash your face again. Same with hair.
You should think about getting an inflatable hair basin. It will make it much more comfortable, not to mention save your neck and you will be able to really soak all of your hair. They are not that expensive around $25 - $35. Just google inflatable hair basin and plenty of options will come up. You place it on the floor, and just lay down to fully soak, and use lots of old towels on the floor.
I am starting a loc journey hopefully soon. I absolutely love your hair!!!!! Thank you for being an inspiration and for the great vibes you give in your videos!!!!
After round 1 you should have rinsed your hair in the bath with the shower to remove the dirty water from the first round because that water was still in your hair and then you put it back in the fresh acv water, mixing the dirty acv water with the clean acv water. Over all a good attempt though.
First time doing to ACV,BS,SS&LJ wash today and my hair feels great. Its soft afterwards. My locks not heavy. My hair felt like it did before being locked. Apprently what I was using before didnt deep clean my locks. Thanks for the inspiration! Oh yes it was too clean afterwards, I did an hot oil, and a simple wash and moisturize my scalp, edges retwist then air dry. My hair also dried faster then usual.
Sam LSD lmao I honestly can't with her. or with her brother. they have the nerve to say they don't like any music so they make their own so they can listen to music they like. like what tf kind of audacity 😂😂 that means she thinks of herself as better than all the legendary musicians you can think of. it's gonna be a no 4 me dog.
not only are you a beautiful young black sister your locks are absolutely beautiful don't mind all the negative you cleaned your hair and your hair was shining I've met so many people that I see that have locks that I don't even know if they know this process but your hair was absolutely clean the use of the baking soda help get off that build up to wear your hair was just it was shining it was so pretty congratulations to you thank you for allowing us to or allowing me to take a look at your your little video here cuz it was great great and informational
right? Why not use the kitchen sink? Also, mix the solution in a larger bottle and pour over from scalp to ends....in plugged sink. Then the solution will work on scalp and full length of hair. The rest will accumulate in the sink for soaking as she did in the small sink. Besides...probably less back breaking! All that beautiful hair when wet must be heavy! 😊
When I use apple cider vinegar i start from my scalp and work it down my dreads after I wash my hair while im still in the shower. I never heard of adding lemon juice, baking soda, or anything but that is very interesting. I just get a plastic cup and put 1 part water and 1 part apple cider or ACV lol. Then I moisturize after with coconut oil and water, which grows my hair fast, the oil seals in the water. The only trick with my dreads is making sure i dont have too much water in my dreads so they dont rot. Or too much oil so they be greasy.
Not to mention, ACV is not to be used as frequently as she says she is gonna use it. That stuff will strip your hair of essential oils and moisture It really should only be used 2 or 3 times a year.
I have done a ACV and bicarbonate of soda wash before, I would say to be careful of the ratio or just leave out the Bicarbonate full stop. My hair was very dry afterwards and took a long time to recover. I agree with the comments that say, "no product". but yes, very beautiful hair, She must be doing something right!!!
that was pretty cool. ohhh remember those Squeeze bottles with the long nose nozzles. ☺ you could use that to get the acv wash on your roots and scalp.
Your hair is gorgeous! I just did this to my locs for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I've had my locs for about 6 years. That water was NASTY. I put a pic of it on my instagram page. Going to be doing this monthly from now on.
Hermit TV Junkie I wouldn't advise doing an ACV rinse on a monthly basis, because of the dryness it causes; this is a periodic treatment only. You don't want to strip your hair/scalp of their natural oils.
How many months in should you wait to do a ACV rinse? And does it make it soft? Cause I don't want it to unravel and I'm only 6 in a half months in. (Freeform)
Do this once a month. This rinse can really strip your hair of its moisture. If you do it too frequently per month, you can really dry out your hair and risk breakage.
+Alexis Chambers Thanks again! But I didn't mean how many times a month. I was asking how many months in for example like I've had my dreads for 7 months freeform. Should I do an ACV rinse or wait until my 1 year or longer?
I don't have locs, nor do I plan on getting locs. But I'm obsessed with watching people wash their locs. It's satisfying to me

Your locs are AWESOME. Keep representing loc girls bc you're an inspiration.
I like that Willow Smith song
Again, awesome video and LOCS 👍👍👍👍
Sumaiyah Smith what is the song called?
Sumaiyah Smith yes what is the name of this song.
Sierra Crane lune
@@jpmoney8794 I can't find the song anywhere and I really wanna find it aaahhhhhh
Ella Jorgensen it’s lune by willow smith
acv rinse is wonderful. another level that works if you dont get all build up out is absolut vodka mixed with shampoo. work it in and leave it for 15 min and rinse out. It works! but you MUST do a hot oil treatment after! acv gets out organic buildup and vodka gets out organic and inorganic buildup o ut. your locs are beautiful!
I do mine with orange juice works better for me than the acv/baking soda. Removes build up, dirt and oil without removing any of your natural oils. Cheap, easy and the best thing eva.
BTW you have some of the best locs I've ever seen.
any particular brand?
+Ceterija Barney I would suggest fresh oranges because product orange juice has a lot of chemicals and sugar
Ok great thanks
Thanks love...& one day I will try the orange juice remedy
Ceterija Barney Of course fresh is best. But I use the bottled and it works just fine, tropicana brand or whatever. Just make sure that it says just orange juice on the ingredients and is pulp free cuz you don't want pulp in your locs.
As far as instructions go:
You can either fill a pan with the juice and squeeze/soak your locs in it for twenty minutes.
Got a little tired of looking like the crowd.
damn I thought I was the only one listening to willow!! she's dropping some knowledge within her songs yes! bless you and your path haha
Blooming Ascension why can't I find her song Lune on the internet anywhere!!?? I used to listen to it all the time now it never comes up when I search it, it's my fav.

I've used ACV rinse for approximately 4 months. The results are amazing. My hair has picked up quite nicely and I don't know what I would do without this regime
hey sis, you should look in to trying the raw unfiltered ACV it has whyyyy more benefits than the filtered
What do you mean?
@Deme Raw unfiltered has much more nutrients than filtered acv
So use unfiltered ACV? Thanks.
yes ma'am Braggs is a trusting line, do your research and see what works best for you! 😘
Thank you!
Your locs are GORGEOUS!
Goes it get the lint out as well please say it does
Def gonna try this next time my hair is ready for a wash. You and your locs are beautiful! You've gained a new subscriber.
I would get a dish bin and sit backwards with my entire head in the bin.
AKIYIAKELLY that's what I'm doing right now. I will let you know...

25 decades so you are 250...cause its 10 years makes a decade.... and if so I need tips to live that long
@@ladyjeffers0504 😂
@@ladyjeffers0504 He's been gluten-free LOL.
I'm trying to decide if I want to shampoo in my locs, after doing the rinse, which seems very counterproductive.
The colour of that water is the same as 2 days in Spain and Italy. You can scrub your face clean at 8am, by 8pm the towel is actually black when u wash your face again. Same with hair.
oh & a spray bottle 2 get the roots started so the dirt can loosen
You should think about getting an inflatable hair basin. It will make it much more comfortable, not to mention save your neck and you will be able to really soak all of your hair. They are not that expensive around $25 - $35. Just google inflatable hair basin and plenty of options will come up. You place it on the floor, and just lay down to fully soak, and use lots of old towels on the floor.
Beautiful😍 can't wait to start mine
Starting my locs today I'm crazy excited, I've been watching all your videos in the last couple days 😁
you need a janitors bucket for all that beautiful hair..not a sink...blessings
Lmao
lol
A car wash bucket or metal BASIN. no joke. That would do it
I am starting a loc journey hopefully soon.
Steph Powell
FACTS!!!!
Great results! I done the ACV rinse once before and it made my hair feel so much lighter
your hair is so awesome
First time doing to ACV,BS,SS&LJ wash today and my hair feels great. Its soft afterwards. My locks not heavy. My hair felt like it did before being locked. Apprently what I was using before didnt deep clean my locks. Thanks for the inspiration! Oh yes it was too clean afterwards, I did an hot oil, and a simple wash and moisturize my scalp, edges retwist then air dry. My hair also dried faster then usual.
not bad for 16 years I would have thought the water would have been alot darker
Anton Fuchs
She was it throughout the years, just with shampoo and conditioner.
as soon as willow started playing i subscribed 😂 already know you have good taste
Willow and dreds omg I love you 😂😂
So refreshing to see such a truly natural beauty ... You are blessed and naturally very beautiful . Beautiful hair too. Don’t ever change 🌸🤩
beautiful locs! Is that Willow Smith singing?
sounds like her. ive been tryna find this song!
+Drea Giovanni it's her. She wrote in the video "Willow Smith - Lune" lol
OK thx
Sam LSD No you mean with the refurbished KiD CuDi lyrics lmfao! She deff got that mother moon vibe from cudder but her songs aight too.
I do it in the kitchen sink and let him lay on the counter with his head in the rinse and just soak then I gently massage his scalp. then shampoo
Woooow... uve soooo given me a new look on da cleanliness of my locs...
How are you getting your roots if your sink is so small?
afeshia bullen she explained that she took the water and had to poor it on her roots and scratched at the roots to get at the buildup
Smoketastic7 so they ont rot? Is this Caucasian hair or Afro hair? I've never heard of this.
Smoketastic7 aaah ok thankyou, I didn't know! I started my locs a month ago so I'll bear that advice in mind.
Sumayah Zahid Your welcome and good luck
That to much of acids. I I am to scare to do that rinse on my hair, just buy the rinse product it does the same.
I just bought acv for the first time, I was just watching to figure out how to use it. thanks for step by step.
Omg what song is that I cannot find it anywhere. at 7:00
willow Smith - lune
alexabelle1 thank you!
for some reason I cannot find it on youtube
all i could fine was her song female energy but not lune
Joanna Lazcano sound like willow smith
that was pretty cool. ohhh remember those Squeeze bottles with the long nose nozzles. ☺ you could use that to get the acv wash on your roots and scalp.
what about your scalp
Your hair is gorgeous!
I just did this to my locs for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I've had my locs for about 6 years. That water was NASTY. I put a pic of it on my instagram page.
Going to be doing this monthly from now on.
Hermit TV Junkie I wouldn't advise doing an ACV rinse on a monthly basis, because of the dryness it causes; this is a periodic treatment only. You don't want to strip your hair/scalp of their natural oils.
thanks for the tip :-)
How many months in should you wait to do a ACV rinse? And does it make it soft? Cause I don't want it to unravel and I'm only 6 in a half months in. (Freeform)
not sure maybe once a month or once every two months...& yes it makes it soft
+Danielle Loxs Thanks :) and I meant like how many months/years into my loc journey should I do one?
Do this once a month. This rinse can really strip your hair of its moisture. If you do it too frequently per month, you can really dry out your hair and risk breakage.
+Alexis Chambers Thanks again! But I didn't mean how many times a month.
I was asking how many months in for example like I've had my dreads for 7 months freeform. Should I do an ACV rinse or wait until my 1 year or longer?
Lil Len Oh okay. Wait until your hair has budded enough as to where it can withstand doing the rinse.
Absolutely beautiful. I was looking for the natural way to cleanse my love and there you WERE! Amazing, thank you.
wow that was a lot of dirt
I use vinegar and baking soda when my sink is clogged up. But the water after you washed tho...wow!
11:11 ✨
you have the type of beautiful locs that make me want them but I don't think I'm ready right now. great video
Willow smith in the beginning >>>>>
I haven't done this in a long time bc it strips out semi-permanent color. Your hair come out shining though!
oh no...but yea it came out hella shiney lol
