Oh...while I have been studying english, it has almost been American accent. So my listening skill about American accent has improved a lot but not England accent. So I was attracted to England accent and I am doing that. And I feel like I am doing exactly what I did five months ago with American accent.

I think it’s much more polite to introduce oneself with first + last name. “Hi, I’m Lucy Simkins!” While we’re on the subject, I also think it’s much more polite to address someone new by her surname. “How do you do, Mrs. Simkins!” This way, the other person can go on a last name basis if she prefers without seeming rude, but can also choose to say, “Oh please, call me Lucy,” if she likes. Assuming one is immediately on a first name basis is very forward, as this is really only meant for closer relationships. We’re meant to do a bit of leg work to establish a relationship before jumping to first names.
