I made you a worksheet with 50 conversation phrases to help you master small talk in English! Download the PDF learn.mmmenglish.com/smalltalk & keep it with you as you join conversations (especially online - it's so easy to keep it beside you and refer to it when you need it!)
Thanks Emma one more time! Luckily, I could be able to find out the amazing workbook at last! I can claim it firmly, these books do always help me implement and express all my ideas in English, I'm fluent in this and *I'm* *over the moon, I'm the happy camper* (idioms I learnt from you, darling!) And this is what I've always dreamt about, I'm absolutely sure!!! I've already downloaded that and then I'm gonna learn it by heart a little bit later, okay? I've been flat out (pretty busy) since the morning. Nothing bad, it's just my daily morning routine! Thank you much Emma and I kiss 'n' hug you tightly! Wish you the best of luck!👍👍👍
I've been working in Melbourne for nearly a year, with a nice- friendly Aussie boss. People do really like to have small talks in the office. Thank you for making this video. It is very helpful for me who is not a native speaker, not Aussie but trying to adapt to their work culture and to reduce my anxiety when it comes to speaking. Please share more videos. Thanks again.

Friendly advice for all the English learners out there 🌎...make sure you focus more on clarity as opposed to speed when you practice speaking in English. It is A LOT more important! 🇨🇦
I think Emma just speaks with the proper speed. If someone learns from someone who is articulating slowly, it is good during the learning process but van be bad during reál life. Who is accustomed to hearing fast speech, understands natives.

Yes Emma, currently in Europe the cool is talking about the weather. The heatwaves in a row since three weeks ago. Forest fires are sweeping out In Portugal, Spain, and even in Tenerife. We aren't used to getting such heatwaves in a row.
Manuel, I've been reading about it in the news - it sounds like it's been a little _too_ hot lately! It's a great point that you highlight in your example - we don't often use *heatwave* in the plural form because a (single) heatwave is a continuously hot period (many days or weeks). It makes sense to talk about 'heatwaves' in the plural for if there have been several long but *separate* periods of extremely hot temperatures through the summer. But, from what I heard, there has been a single, long continuous heatwave in Europe. Correct me if I'm wrong!
@@mmmEnglish_Emma as far as I am concerned, really I was talking about in Tenerife. Here the heatwave lasted three or four days, later came back the mild weather three or four times in the summer. Currently, there have had three from June, in fact, we are currently into one of them. In Tenerife, the summer average temperature is 25. degrees. In and of itself, although the heatwave is detected beforehand and we are conscious scorching days are coming in, we aren't used to getting three in two months. In Europe, is different there were several of them this year, but the dangerous trouble is the highest temperature that they have ever reached in Paris, London, Berlin, and so on. Maybe in Australia, you are used to getting such scorching days. In Tenerife not. In the Spanish mainland and Portugal, there from May to September the average temperature is more than 35. Currently even reaching 44 degrees, be that as it may, it is not as usual as Tom Jones' song. At home, I have never had central heating or AC, even a poorly fun.
