- In this episode, Siskel and Ebert review: Everybody’s All-American, U2: Rattle and Hum, The Good Mother, Little Dorrit and A Cry in the Dark.
Little Dorrit was really good, especially the two lead performances and the music.
I saw it in 2013 on the Sony Movie Channel. They showed both parts on the same day
I thought All-American was pretty bad. I bought it for cheap on e-Bay recently, watching it for the first time. For the whole thing it felt like a parody of a biography and was not sure what they were trying to do. At some point I thought it was a comedy cause of the bad accents and clothing styles and these two actors passing as "young people". I don't know about Dennis Quaid, sometime I think he's good, sometime he's bad. Like he's too goofy, esp. when he does accents. It was only by near the end of movie where I got what they were trying to do(about people badly adapting to old age whatever). But too little too late.
Heavy show!
Thanks. I could spend hours here.
I liked LITTEL DORRIT that didn't feel like 6 hours. A CRY IN THE DARK is very interesting. The dingo dog weighs as much as an 8 pound baby. How can it carry the child off? Meryl Streep was excellent.
A Dingo did, in fact, eat her baby.
Everybody's All-American was a bit better than they gave it credit for. I thought it was underrated when it initially came out and is one of those films that has been essentially forgotten. Flawed, yes, but the thread about a washed up former great college and pro player was done better than any film I had seen up to that point in time. Dennis Quaid was excellent, as usual, he might be one of the most underrated actors of his generation.
Dreamscape is one of my favourite Dennos Quaid movies
I thought Jessica Lange was superb in it...
I thought it was pretty bad.
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 It wasn't a great film. But I thought that it had just enough insight in a "small bore" way to make it a worthwhile watch. It's fair to say that it sucked, though. There is enough "bad" about it to come to that conclusion.
@@jaykay6387 I saw it for the first time a few weeks ago and throughout the whole movie I thought it was some sort of parody with the bad hair and bad accent. lol It got a little better near the end though.
I'm sure it's just a typo, but the movie came out in 1988.👍🏾
It's fixed
I've seen Yhe Good Mother. It's a good movie
Siskel is so drunk on this episode it's hard to believe they aired it.
As if he enjoyed U2
