A couple of years ago a friend of mine had an old crowbar that he had broke the end off of. He gave it to me and told me I could have it for whatever I wanted make out of it. What I did was to remake it into a crowbar, just a little shorter that it was. When I gave it back to him he said that that was his Grandfathers and was one of the few things he had of his. When he asked what he owed me............No charge........
Todd very nice job. Hopefully you get great use out of it for many years to come Todd. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. God Bless.
Rise and shine, Mister Freeman. Rise and... shine. Not that I... wish to imply you have been sleeping on the job. No one is more deserving of a rest... and all the effort in the world would have gone to waste until... well, let's just say your hour has... come again. The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world. So, wake up, Mister Freeman. Wake up and... smell the ashes...
Great job on that crowbar. Do you happen to know what kind of steel it is made from? I have a couple and was hoping to make some knives for some hunting buddies. I'm just getting into forging. As a disabled vet, my doctor said that it would be good therapy for me. As a wild idea and challenge, I built my own forge from an old gas grill. It has a fire box and a Maguivered blower that actually works great. Ventilation is next. I enjoy your videos, and I just subscribed.
Very impressive, sometime you should come to my shed and restore my things, lol, no really that is something a lot of people don't know how to do, really good job.
@@ToddKoch of course and you have great talent & skills! Me not so much, *BUT* my 20 sec video of me sleeping has 55,000 views...my high achievement in social media/YT Lmao

That’s awesome!! I love hearing stories like that and doing projects that are meaningful! It gives so much more life to the work I feel like.
@@ToddKoch Also when I did that I learned not to use a plastic bucket for an oil quench...............oooops........
Haha yeah that is another thing that I have been working on, finding a good container to put the oil in
@@ToddKoch For small projects an old metal coffee can or bean can should work. Something larger would need to be "custom" made.
This is true. I’m definitely gonna get on it soon!
Oh, So that's how barney restored Gordons crowbar.

Thanks! I think it’ll definitely be a good one for a while.
@@ToddKoch that’s great news
Great job. Is that just paste wax? I never knew the trick about warming the metal. Brilliant.
I just used regular candle wax for this one! Paste wax is an amazing option too though!
