I really just have to say, I’m born and bred one hundred percent Canadian and this song brings me to tears every single time! I love the Home Free version but I have literally stood hand on heart with tears hearing Lee Greenwood sing it as well. You are a proud nation of very patriotic people!! God Bless the USA!
Know that we here in America ALSO appreciate our Canadian neighbors to the North. We each have wonderful things about our countries that we hold dear, but the most fantastic thing to me is to know that we can count on you and you can count on us when the going gets tough. Ditto for England (UK), Australia, New Zealand too. We hold this world together as a group and we need to stick together no matter what.
I remember Lee Greenwood performing this on a Bob Hope USO Christmas show during the Gulf War. I bawled like a baby when I watched so many service men -in uniform - crying their hearts out in the audience. At home by myself at the time, I felt the obligation to stand and honor both my country and the men and women defending it.
I'm proud to be an American! We are free because of you and all men & women who served this AMAZING country!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR NATION SIR! GOD BLESS YOU! #Merica🇺🇲
They just won an award for this video, being the most viral with over 200million views. Well deserved and great reaction. If you want to hear more of Adam 'Chance' on lead, their newest cover of Born in the USA would be a good one
Lee Greenwood is still firing on all cylinders. Joining with Home Free and the Air Force Band just took such an iconic song 🎵 to another level. This was released during quarantine. Kudos to their producer Darren Russ and Adam. Adam does sing 🎶 in a couple of songs when he doesn't beat box .Check out Seven Bridges Road . Great reaction and thanks for your service
Thank you for your service!!!! Adam Rupp is the beat boxer, he is the one who started Home Free. Adam Chance, they call him Chance, trades off with Tim on bass, but also sings an amazing baritone. Rob is lead tenor, and his voice is smooth as silk. Rob studied opera. He and Austin have an aria that they have recorded together. Austin studied music-theater, and i wouldn't say he has a common voice. He is their high tenor and can do about anything with his voice. The soloists from the Air Force Band have phenomenal voices, as do Home Free. Lee Greenwood still made this a song that will go down in history.
As a 73 y.o. born & bred American veteran, this song without fail, always brings tears to my eyes & gives me the deepest sense of pride in our country🇺🇸
Rob who is from Minnesota sings "from the lakes of Minnesota, Tim who is from Texas sings "across the plains of Texas, and Chance who was born in Florida and lives in California sings "from sea to shining sea". I believe that some of the Airmen are from where they sing as well. There is so much meaning in this song. I love the Jet sound that Rupp makes at the end. Amazing.
Thanks for your service!!! My husband and I got have dinner wih Lee and his beautiful wife. Wonderful warm people! Tom... I loved your heartfelt reaction
What a powerful compilation! Each three of these groups alone is phenomenol, but put together are untouchable! There are no musical instruments, of course! HOMEFREE carries their instruments in each perfect mouth! The beatboxer, Adam Ruff, can make every sound from a harmonica to snare drums! The bass, Tim Foust, has a 5 octave range and his tenor is as beautiful as is his bass, powerful! He is writing some fantastic songs for the group, now! The other 3 are unbelievable and harmonize better, in my opinion, than any other accapella group out there! The Airforce Band is spectacular and of course this would not be possible without the wonderful songwriting and vocals of the GREAT Lee Greenwood! He is an American treasure! Thank you for your glowing reaction and special THANKS to these 3 groups for coming together to honor AMERICA! ❤
I didn't know what to do with my life until i enlisted in the USAF. I was a communications technician then enlisted leader until i retired. I continued as a contractor, and now I'm an Air Force civilian. Looking back, joining the AF was the best decision i ever made. I have lots of great memories and made some good friends along the way. This song, this arrangement, this delivery sums it all up for me. Watching you "keep it together" was worth it. Echoing earlier comments, this won a Telly Award for the most streamed song across all platforms in 2020. Over 200M views!!!
Thank you for your service. I understand what it means. I have an uncle I never met because he was shot down in the pacific. My father was in the army air corps too. My daughter and son in law are in the air force. They are both retiring this year. Fantastic collaboration by the 3 groups! Love Lees addition of God PLEASE Bless the USA! Did you hear the flyover sound at the end?? Great Reaction! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Wow. This had to be fun for Mr. Greenwood as well. Having backing vocals allowed him to perform echos and trills that you can't get away with when you're singing a solo. Of course Home Free knocked it out of the park. Loved the other voices as well. Great rendition.
They took an awesome song by Lee Greenwood, and kicked it up a couple notches....Thank you for your service, Sir. I don't have any service experience, but this song brings a tear to my eye every time I listen to it.

I've heard this a couple of dozen times but I still get goosebumps every time I hear it. Lee Greenwood said he enjoyed being able to "ad lib" a little bit this time because Home Free was able to carry the basic tune for him. Did you hear Adam Rupp's version of a jet flyover at the very end? BTS, if you really want to hear Adam Chance ("Chance") sing, check out their cover of "Born in the USA" that they just released. I absolutely love that they brought in service members to sing this song, it just adds another beautiful layer to an already amazing performance of an exceptional song.

Adam's beatboxing in this is just out of this world. The military cadence toward the end and then the fighter jet flyover sound at the very end! FYI, the bass-baritone Adam Chance just goes by Chance. He joined in 2016, but beatboxer Adam Rupp is the only remaining founding member from when they started in 2000, so he has 16 years' seniority and "dibs" on the name 😁

I've loved this song since it was released and it's never lost it's power over me! Lee Greenwood said that after performing this song basically the same way for decades, he was finally able to adlib the way he had never been able to before. And when Adam starts in on that snare towards the end I always get goosebumps and tears. Usually before that to be honest, but definitely as soon as that snare hits, I'm done for! Thank you for your service and sacrifices! And thank you for the great reactions. ❤
