    Thanks for playing the ESP LTD Eclipse. I was thinking of selling mine but also low key praying for a sign to keep it. So you saved a life!

      Nice! Happy ending closure, no joke. Sometimes it takes a rando on the internet to remind you to keep a guitar LOL 😂

    Mine always stays On. With a short Regen (slapback-like) for most songs, except Pink Floyd type of music where Regen at about 11:00 does the trick. And instead of using the modulation button, I get a better tone pairing it with a Boss CH-1 Chorus pedal in front of it. Everyone compliments my live tone. It's mostly coming from my fingers, but the Carbon Copy is a big, big part of it.

    MXR has another version of the Carbon Copy called the Carbon Copy Deluxe. That has everything you said you wanted from the regular Carbon Copy - it has tap tempo, it has quarter note divisions & dotted-eights, it has an LED for easily seeing whihc division you are on and it also has the modulation knobs (speed & width) outside right on top of the pedal. You can check that out!
    I also have a Carbon Copy myself and love it! I run it along with a TC Electronic Nova Repeater which has tap tempo, dotted eights, etc. Makes for a great combo!

      Yeah I just checked it out and it looks amazing. Over $400CA including shipping though 😅

      @@andrewsiemon I always try to buy pedals used whenever possible. Guitars are more personal and you have to pick the right one that speaks to you. But for pedals, I figure it really doesn't matter cause they're all the same.

    You might be a good candidate for the Strymon Brig Analog Delay, it has all of the features you are looking for and more (and doesn't cost as much as the MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe)

      Super ugly though. I’d rather get the carbon deluxe.

    So annoying when pedal reviewers don't start with just the pedal they're reviewing but instead use it with others. We're here to listen to the pedal on the video title, dedicate more time for it on its own

    Thanks for the video it was very helpful, although Im not sure why people think that having true bypass on a pedal is a good thing, i find they just suck treble, anyway cheers.

    The warm tone is what many people like, but i just want a delay that doesn't color my signal in any way... Thought about the boss digital delay...
    Opinion's...?

    • @cnewman99
      @cnewman99 5 місяців тому +1

      A digital delay, like the Boss, is probably what you're looking for. You can hear it starting at 7:15, the delay signal sounds just like the dry signal. It doesn't lose the high end like the analog pedal.

      The Waza delay sounds really nice. There should be some youtube videos on it. Given your description, I think you would be happy with it. It doesn't impose a lot of its own sound on the signal.

    I use it too and it is a great always-on kind of effect with a nice tone, but not really so unique. There are many analog delay pedals that are very similar, and with more ability to control things. They do have a version of the Carbon Copy with Tap Tempo. I want to try the JHS Lucky Cat myself.

    • @andrewsiemon
      @andrewsiemon  5 місяців тому

      Must be the Deluxe version of the pedal. JHS makes great stuff too

    LOL. You just can´t make a negative remark without saying "but is not a big deal" are you afraid they´re not gonna pay you for the payd ad you produced dressed like a "review" ?? , come on, don´t underestimate your viewers inteligence. If something is terribly wrong like having to disasemble the pedal to access the moduation parameter pots, they could have put them on the side, like you said, but just adding "is not a big deal" on every negatve remark really turns the issue in a bigger deal.

      @@andrewsiemonThe MXR Carbon Copy is pretty cool, it's a classic staple but I think you should try a Hungry Robot's Wash V2 delay. You'll be blown away, it's essentially a mix of a Carbon Copy and the Memory Man with a Tap Tempo switch.
