For three weeks when I go to the guitar center, there is a Epiphone explorer that I keep gravitating towards. It sounds absolutely amazing and it sits so nice on your lap. It’s very balanced and extremely light.
Love the take on U2...and all the rest JG killing it as usual... Explorer's are cool...had a friend that got one when we were early 20's...it rocked...just don't see many people use em. Great axe though.
I have an Epiphone explorer 1958 Korina, exactly same color but gold tuners. Obviously it's not at the level of Gibson, but I really like it and plays very nice!
I own 2 of these exact guitars a 2018 and a 2020 and they are fantastic in fact .my 2018 antique natural with BB2 and 3 blew away a couple of different all mahagony custom shop 58 explorers with custombuckers that I tried. I was all set to buy a 58 explorer all hog reissue but once I realized my original collection explorers sounded better so I did not bother. My USA explorers were brighter more lively and had more clarity.
I would love to have a Les Paul standard, but they keep going up up up in price out of range of my wallet. However, I do have enough money for a Gibson Explorer and I think I’m gonna go ahead and pull the trigger on one here real soon.
We're it not for Lynard Skynard, I swear you'd never seen this thing today. Gibby as a whole has never liked these. Sales just don't happen. Everyone rah rahs, but don't own or will buy one.
Allens was a 1958 explorer Korina. He bought it in 1975 for $5,000. Very rare guitar. Less than 20 were known to have been sold in 1958. Allens guitar is owned by his daughter Amie and she has it on loan to the rock and roll hall of fame museum.

As long as you enjoy it, that's all that matters! those Epiphone's are monster guitars!

Same here. LP standard is a luxury item these days, can't believe they are over 3000 bucks, and going up.
that opening riff was good. even by jack standards
Exactly the reason I got my epi explorer. I think it’s the only song I ever play on it.
These sound so damn good, I never liked them till I saw Jack completely manhandle these things. Fiery stuff, cheers from the United States !!
On a Side note I just got mine in the mail today , so cool !!!
That sounded great!
Thats my dream guitar
3:20 you show what i needed to see. The neck volume is the first knob. Idk why this bothered me so much but id love an explorer with two vol two tone
Sold already? What’s the wait time on an Explorer these days, never see many of them?
It’s a beautiful day , dayyyyyyyyyyyyy
I want your tabs for this version
Hey man. What pickups are you running this beast
it sounds great, but I would cut that guitar down with a saw to make it smaller, it's too big 😅
They want 10k for one of these in the US! Not happening…
These are different your thinking of the Korina wood model it’s damn expensive but this is not that guitar
This guitar is $1999 not $9999
@@daviddeel8427is their a difference in sound ??
