OMG!!! Though I've heard these classic keboards before on various songs, I've never actually seen any of them up close untill now. Thank you so much Thomas for putting these ledgends through their paces once again. And many compliments on your very proficient keyboard abilities. Best Wishes.

Just stumbled upon this and I have to say Wow....! What an incredible 15 minutes of glorious vintage keyboard heaven! Bravo to you sir......a stunning performance!!
BRAVO, THOMAS !! !!! !! !!! !! !!! SUCH SWEET INSTRUMENTS & the MUSICIAN, WELL, AWESOME MIGHT COME CLOSE !! !!! !! !!! THANK YOU, BROTHER ......................... Then Play On !!! !! !!! !! !!! !! ..........................................
I became an early fan of synthesized music to the point of several partially successful builds. I was following the Don Lancaster Popular Electronics series in my high school electronics class (1975) involving DIY VCOs, VCAs, VCFs, etc. Still love music and am an extra Class ham too. KK6VDR.
Super. Danke schön. A complete review of the most iconic keyboards through a bunch of no less iconic hits - it's a dream that lasted 15 min. I also discovered these marvelous machines (Taurus, Voyager). Impressive.
Great gear, great playing and some sneaky songs in there. Saga Ice Nice was a pleasant surprise, I thought I recognized that. That Phaser on the String Machine was heaven!
Great video, what a pleasure it is seeing some vintage keyboards played by a great musician! Excellent choice of vintage music also! Timeless! That B3 sounds fantastic!
LOVE THIS! Especially how authentic the oprning to Pink Floyd's "Animals" sounds...very awesome, Thomas! Glad to hear the music as well as watching you play! A definite keeper in my favorites! Thank you for the greatest 15 minutes...and keep more coming please!
Fantastic Thomas! Great playing... and the SOUND of those old instruments, those gorgeous sounds, ay ay ay..... I'm revealing my age when I say that I know all the songs you were playing :-) Well done and thanks Thomas!
When you broke into Gentle Giant you blew me away (Surprised). No one plays GG. You do have a killer setup. Thanks for your great performances and collection of relics. I thought you were Bo Hanson surrounded by all that gear.
Quite a show Tom! I couldn't stop listening from beginning to end...... I especially liked the Kerry Livgren solo!! Enjoy yourself but make sure you get a vacation from all those neat toys!
it's great to come back from time to time and see your videos again and again! we have the same setup, same CP70 out of tune too :-))))) (I Just miss the Solina....)
I've whatched this video maybe 5 times or more, and in the last I watch you a friend of mine, and when the video its over Thomas says humbly "Thanks for your time" and my friend sayed to me "No no no my friend, thanks for YOUR time". Great video, Thomas, I hope that you made more video like these, stay safe and healthy. Greetings from Brazil
Had this on in the background, soon as I heard ATOM HEART MOTHER, I immediately stopped work and turned it up! Deep cuts Pink Floyd; you're awesome man.
I would have ditched the old mechanical mellotron as well. Pretty cool. I do the Crowley thing on a Quadra. It is amazing how much hardware they carried around back in the day for really such a minimal set of sounds. The keyboards back then were a roadies nightmare. Today everyone sits there behind one or two 30lb keyboards with a Macbook.
One MEMORYMOOG could simplyfie it ALL!!!!! But you are German, the man can hear / feel the leck of soul approach to the music in general. Last time I wrote a comment in one old post of yours, I found every comment that have had something negative to say, was deleted. Bravo, MAESTRO Tom!!!!!
DAMN! I LOVED this! made me wanna go back and listen to all these songs again and make friends with these bands and musicians from my past! THANK YOU THOMAS!
Very amazing :) Tom please upload more videos, I really like listening to your vintage sounds and the organ :) keep on playing, greetings from Italy :D
I heard a couple of flubbed notes and my God it is so nice to hear normal playing. I watch a ton of "perfect" videos, that in reflection were probably recorded several dozen times and only the flawless example is shown. It's really refreshing to hear someone play organically, without robotic precision, and yes, tap the G with a little finger when playing F. It really makes this human.
You are so lucky to have that setup. I have a Hammond organ and a small Yamahakeyboard. I enjoy doing "Funeral for a friend" and "Knights in white satin." I've seen your thick as a brick tribute and love it. Again, your singing is great. If you havn't you should try funeral for a friend. You would do it great.
Great to see how much fun you're having. I'm having fun watching you have fun. There's a beauty of studio performance: no pressure from onlooking strangers to perform "perfectly". This is really a great video - also nicely edited without being obtrusive.
Hey Byron! Thanx for your nice comment! You are sooo right about camera performances. I actually hate playing in front of one or few people in a room live, that is what I find obtrusive. Playing in front of hundreds or thousands on the other hand, is cool again, since it is more anonymous, especially in the context of a band. Thank you for your thought-out observation! :-)
If my Dad (1953-2005) could see or rather hear you now he'd be blown away not only by Atom Heart Mother. thx so much Thomas!
that sheep intro was outstanding, you got me watching till the last second, what a performance!
tried to subscribe but I was already :)
Yeahhh! P.F. Rulz!
Same over here. Amazing.
Very nice to see someone who can really play and is not just a collector!
genau

Wow, what a fantastic collection of instruments and a medley of masterpieces. Thanks
Mr. Crowley sounded awesome. I think it sounded even better than the original (mini moog + Roland rs-09)
Cheers!
In the original it was string synthesizer and Minimoog for bass, here he played two hands on strings (more polyphony), and bass played by feet
Awesome..!!! Great keyboards.. Cheers from Chile..
Sounds great! New doesn't always mean better, now does it? They still sound great! Good job!

The digital age has made some of these instruments obsolete. It's great to hear the originals. Nice video. You play very well.
