I became an early fan of synthesized music to the point of several partially successful builds. I was following the Don Lancaster Popular Electronics series in my high school electronics class (1975) involving DIY VCOs, VCAs, VCFs, etc. Still love music and am an extra Class ham too. KK6VDR.

Pretty cool. I do the Crowley thing on a Quadra.
It is amazing how much hardware they carried around back in the day for really such a minimal set of sounds. The keyboards back then were a roadies nightmare. Today everyone sits there behind one or two 30lb keyboards with a Macbook.

I heard a couple of flubbed notes and my God it is so nice to hear normal playing. I watch a ton of "perfect" videos, that in reflection were probably recorded several dozen times and only the flawless example is shown. It's really refreshing to hear someone play organically, without robotic precision, and yes, tap the G with a little finger when playing F. It really makes this human.

Hey Byron! Thanx for your nice comment! You are sooo right about camera performances. I actually hate playing in front of one or few people in a room live, that is what I find obtrusive. Playing in front of hundreds or thousands on the other hand, is cool again, since it is more anonymous, especially in the context of a band. Thank you for your thought-out observation! :-)
