    You don't have to lock it back to disassemble the weapon. You are the only person I have ever seen do that on a Glock.

    The only thing I touch with CLP is the inside of the barrel, Barely touch the edges of the lower were the slide slides. Mabie a drop right above were the serial number is. And every now in then not often I put like a drop were the trigger meets the lower like glock says to do. And then just scrub the rest with a clean dry tooth brush or cleaning prush, wipe dirt out with a gun rag and mabie a Q tip but make sure no cotton gets left in the gun. And then i clean the inside of the barrel but I wipe down everything and make sure everything is dry before I re assemble

    I have a question when you just bought glock 19 gen 4 , do you have to clean inside first before first shoot? Or you don’t have to clean brand new gun just clean later.

    • @arkamasylum8977
      @arkamasylum8977 3 роки тому +1

      You do NOT need to clean before you shoot it your first time. All glocks come clean and pre lubricated. When you 1st make sure your pistol is safe and clear, disassembled, you will see a gold like substance withing the slide. That is the factory lube glock uses. Cherish it and enjoy your first time shooting safely. After a few magazines have gone through, then you may clean it. Personally I use Remoil (Remington oil) brand for my lubricant. Hope this helps.

    Actually, no, the best way to disassemble a Glock pistol is to simply pull the slide back about 1/8", just enough to release the pressure on the slide lock as you're pulling it down, then the slide will come right off the frame, after you've pulled the trigger of course.

    You might want to be careful not to get any oil in the striker channel, on the striker assembly itself and also the plunger. Block recommends to keep these clean, but oil free so that they don't collect dirt which could cause a failure.

    I think you should read the user manual on cleaning and how much oil to use it says like 3 drops for entire gun is more than enough glocks are ment to run on next to no oil for real read manual you just assaulted that pore gun with oil

    It’s SO BAD if you put too much oil on it. The debris (such as gun powder) will get stuck to the excess oil and can cause your gun to jam. You DEFINITELY SHOULD NOT follow the oiling technique this guy is doing. You should also clean the spring. You don’t really need to oil it but more so brush it to get any powder etc off of it. If you do decide to use oil on it use A LITTLE lol

  • @MrKitty-zv3dl
    @MrKitty-zv3dl 6 років тому +1

    Don't use this method of cleaning! All that oil is going into the firing pin channel, oil attracts dirt, unburned powder and brass shavings. The debris turn to sludge that WILL slow your firing pin giving you light primer strikes (dud rounds) or it will hang up completely. You should take apart your slide every now and then for maintenance, you wouldn't believe the brass left behind.
    The better way to clean your slide? Baby wipes, I shit you not. Then a drop of oil on each rail and one on the slide where barrel rests.
    Clean the barrel first in the sink with hot tap water, dish soap and bore brush. You'll get 90% of the crap out then finish it off with clp and patches.

    Too much oil. Glock recommends the MINIMAL amount of oil. It goes in 4 tiny spots. Too much oil will cause the opposite effect in the terms that it will trap and hold MORE dirt/debris. And if using a solvent/oil mixture, really NOT a good idea to get on a polymer frame. Just saying. No it won't melt the frame, but not good neither. You wouldn't armor all your steering wheel for obvious reasons, same concept for the pistol you need to have a good grip on. Hicock or glock site itself for manufacture specific cleaning instructions. Nice video, but not accurate.
