And I know Van had big issues with covid, both principally and financially. Also, two divorces, an affair with a sketchy transgender type woman and a secret son who both died of a "disease" by coincidence. Burried somewhere in the UK? I don't know. He's not an amazing person in real life. I re-read an older interview with him and my god is he negative, pessimist, rude and inconsiserate. Can't believe we used to call that grumpy. He is way worse. I love him for his music but man did I lost a lot of feelings for him over the years.

"My mind is blown" isn't strong enough - I can't believe how good he is. It's amazing what Van can do with two or three chords (referring to comments by musicians on Caledonia Soul Music). Many thanks to youtube's algorithm for turning me on to these... and of course to Ceccailif for producing and uploading them.
