I CANNOT tell you how much I'm enjoying these videos. I also plan on moving to SD and can't see the apartments because I have to choose one without looking so I throughly enjoyed these tours! Thank you ;)))
I'm planning to move from the Netherlands to San Diego next year, so these video's are extremely helpful to me! Thanks so much :) Good luck with your adventure and achieving your goals as well!
The Rey is definitely the winner in my book. Good location, good sized kitchen, good views and useable balcony, easy freeway access and somewhat reasonable price.
Cement walls is an excellent idea!!! I didn't know that. I'm hoping to move to SD from NYC this summer. In my building, the walls are clearly not cement because I can hear conversations from neighbors lol. Thanks for the sugggestion!
I can not tell you how much this has helped me, I just recently got a new job and will be moving to San Diego in a few weeks. All of the apartments you have hit in the series are ones I've been curious about, genuinely thank you!!!
I moved downtown san diego with my partner from Atlanta 6 months ago and I love it! These videos would have been helpful at that time but we ended up finding a new build complex that we love! This was so well filmed and organized! Do you live here now?? Thanks for sharing 😊
@@EshiJay So exciting! I truly have no complaints so far. Making sure your complex has parking is big. Everything is walking distance around downtown and so much good food. As a woman, if you have to walk alone just be aware of your surroundings. I have not had any aggressive interactions with houseless here and often give them clothes or food as I can! Weekends are definitely busier times DT and we moved on a Saturday during a Padres game, so that’s definitely something I would avoid if feasible 😅 do you have an insta? Would love to know more women around town as I do find San Diego to be a bit more masculine overall.
This was a huge help! Moved to San Diego over a year ago but immediately went on a deployment so didn’t have much time to look around. The Diega is most definitely my top pick for downtown! Thank you for doing the bulk of my work for me 😂
Hi! Have you thought of Little Italy? Be careful with East Village. You won't be as close to city amenities and the night scene is a bit sketchy. I know East Village is cheaper but it's probably 5-10 years from being truly the downtown experience people hope it is now.
Honestly, that's also what we got from visiting east village unfortunately, so I think it's a no for that neighborhood for now. But yes, we did visit little Italy, it's in the Part 1 video. I really loved it, it's definitely still in the running! But thanks so much for watching 🥰
If you want to live in Little Italy, which in my opinion is the best part of Downtown, look at Ariel! The best building and I love living in it. If you need a 2 bedroom, their sister property is Allegro Towers which is not as nice but way cheaper and across the street so you're still in the best part of town. East Village is up and coming, but still like 10 years from it being great. There are too many homeless people in that area and there aren't as many things to do/as many restaurants nearby.
Since it's our first time living in California in general, we wanted to be close to downtown, but definitely will look into it in the future! Thanks for watching 👍🏾
I’m not sure if you guys found your apt, but I do live in downtown San Diego I’m actually in marina district. Close to the seaport village not sure if you guys get to experience that little area. By far the nicest and cleanest areas in downtown. Most apartments are condo like and for sale but still a good area to look into.
We ended up choosing the Diega!! Amenities could not be beat, and we found a great unit. Moving vlogs are coming up, so will definitely do updates there!
Enjoyed the videos. I’ve always wanted to live in CA. Always seemed cool, despite some negatives…cost of living, traffic, homelessness, etc. maybe some day, right now leaning towards SD over LA. Are you guys moving or still undecided? Best to you!
Hi Did you move into Diega already ? I’m considering the Diega or Hanover Apts .. reviews are horrible though on Diega do you know if those reviews are accurate? I’m in Miami so not going to visit before so it’s crucial. Let me know !
Yes we actually did, new videos to come about it! I haven't done much research about Hanover apts so I can't say much about those unfortunately. The Diega honestly has it's pros and cons. We have a great apartment with an amazing view, but we have had a couple issues since moving in (they told us the thermostat could be replaced with a smart one but it actually couldn't, a bathroom fan is broken across several units in the building and still hasn't been replaced because of back order, etc). We haven't had any issues with the amenities or people who live here. I'll definitely be making a video soon about our experience so far, so stay tuned!
There are homeless people all over San Diego, but not a lot around the Diega specifically. Just moved 2 weeks ago, and I feel pretty safe walking around. Obviously you have to be aware of your surroundings and use common sense, but I've been loving it!
@@martinakuhnert9636 I've never had any issues, and if I ever do, I'll make sure to tell people. Sorry you had bad experiences, but I have absolutely love living downtown 😊
There is a big homeless population in downtown. They've never given me any trouble, and there are actual legislation changes going into effect soon to help with it more.
I CANNOT tell you how much I'm enjoying these videos. I also plan on moving to SD and can't see the apartments because I have to choose one without looking so I throughly enjoyed these tours! Thank you ;)))
That makes me so happy, I'm so glad they're helping you!!
This was beyond helpful. I love these types of videos as well. Very informative. Thank you for taking out the time to share your journey with us!
I'm so glad it was helpful!! 🥰
I'm planning to move from the Netherlands to San Diego next year, so these video's are extremely helpful to me! Thanks so much :) Good luck with your adventure and achieving your goals as well!
That's a big move, good luck to you!! I'm glad I was able to help 🥰
The Rey is definitely the winner in my book. Good location, good sized kitchen, good views and useable balcony, easy freeway access and somewhat reasonable price.
The Rey was definitely a top contender!! We did end up going with the Diega because of the amenities we will be using.
Loved the video and the commentating! Thank you so much!
Thanks for watching!

So many great options!! The views of the library 😍😍😍😍 I’m thinking diega as your top choice and I would agree!

I went to high school in the San Diego public library it’s on the sixth and seventh floor so cool to see you guys shocked by it E3 Civic high school
Woah that's so cool!!
Why not TRY looking at other areas in San Diego as Mountain View, Logan Heights, Memorial, Ocean view in SESD??
Since it's our first time living in California in general, we wanted to be close to downtown, but definitely will look into it in the future! Thanks for watching 👍🏾
this is a very helpful video.
So glad it's helping! We chose the Diega and still live here, definitely check out my other videos about that 😊
Any updates? Park 12, Shift, Luma, Broadstone Makers Quarter and The Merian are great downtown options as well.
We ended up going with Diega! Moving in a week actually 😂. Update video coming soon!

Eshi can you do an update video on how life in SD has been? That would be so interesting to see pros and cons
Ooo what a great idea, I'm adding that to the list ASAP. I've been behind recently, but that's a great one
@@EshiJay that would be amazing! :))
Thank you for these! Moving soon and the struggle has been real 😅.. can’t believe how expensive it has become!
Omg I know. All I can say is, the price has been worth it for us for all the experiences we've been able to have. Good luck!!
I love 625 broadway the best on part 1
Good apartments tours. Congrats from our channel 🦜🦜🦜Australian Parakeets Stars 🦚🦚🦚
The diega is def my favorite too! I'd want an ocean/bay view too though :D
Ugh ikrrrr. Here's hoping 🤞🏾
What did you guys end up choosing? I'm planning on moving out there in July and am considering these areas. Would love to get an update video!

@@EshiJay Nice congrats! Does the Diega have parking included?
@@ChetanPatelshay thank you! Parking is for an extra fee, I think it's like $25-50/mth, so not bad at all

did all the apartments require for you to make an income of at least double of the monthly rent or did they run credit ?
I'm not sure about all of the apartments, but the Diega ran credit!
4,400 for 700 sqft no thanks i rather pay for a mortgage
Are there a lot of homeless people around The Diega? Is it safe for a single girl to walk around there?
