Welcome to San Diego from a fellow San Diegan. You'll love it here. You worked so hard to get here, and you deserve to be so proud of yourself. Enjoy this new amazing chapter of your life.
Hi! Thank you so much for doing all these videous about apt tours in SD. My husband and I are looking to move there this year. WoUld you be able to tell us the plan name that you guys have? It looks gorgeous!
@@EshiJay Awesome! Thank you for letting me know! Other than Diaga which we think it's great price for the amenities, what other buildings do you think are worth it for 2 bedroom? We are similar with you guys in the sense that we want to be by the bars/restaurants too and we both work from home. Also, was it hard to make friends? I know you had a friend in the building but I was curious how hard it would be to make new ones.
Check out the Radian, Rey, and Simone too, you might like those! I've actually been wanting to make a video about making friends when you're new in town, cause it can be hard, and I definitely still struggle with it. But going to apartment events, randomly talking to people on the elevators, signing up for a sports league/hobby class make it much easier!
Most of the time, apartments are looking for pay slips of the people living in the apartment (to make sure you have a steady income to pay for the lease), and then they do a credit check. They also have you turn in a security deposit which is usually 1 month of rent. That's mostly what I've seen!
I'm still deciding on Hanover /525 Olive & Diega but my only concern is the homeless in the area of Diega since its more downtown have you seen many by the building?
There are homeless people a couple blocks away from the Diega, but I haven't had any issues! 525 Olive is beautiful, I actually had a sneak peak. It is quite a bit more expensive, but if you can afford it, it's gorgeous! I haven't looked into the Hanover.
Welcome to San Diego! Could you share the price average for a 2bd apartment like this? Unfortunately, looks like all of their 2bd units are unavailable. Thanks :)
Thank you!! I'm actually going to link you to my video where I toured the Diega for the first time, because I listed all the price ranges there (and for the other places I toured): ua-cam.com/video/4xv0ITKLeAI/v-deo.html
Yes a new building is going up, on the east side of the building! Haven't had a huge problem with noise, but it is blocking some of the eastern mountain range view 😢
hi! How’s the parking situation there? or how many parking spaces can you get? thinking of moving to downtown and the diega is one of my options! watched your apartment hunting video!
I think there may be a wait-list for in-house parking right now, but I believe they are offering spaces across the street at the chase building. We were able to slip in and get the underground parking at the Diega, but I would definitely call the leasing office to see what the situation is!
How are you liking living at Diega. I am moving to SD this month and based on your videos, I think I landed on Diega. But I won't have a chance to view it in person. How is your experience? I've read a lot of reviews about parking / towing nightmares, packages getting stolen, it's hard to get packages delivered, loud noise, etc. Can you give honest feedback about it before I sign a lease? Thank you so much for your videos!
That's exciting!! I can tell you that we haven't had any issues with towing, or parking in general. The parking garage doors have been under maintenance, so that's been a little annoying, but not terrible. Packages can also be a bit annoying. They can be delivered into locked parcel slots, in which case, it's super nice and easy. But if they're bigger, they may put it in the package room, which can be super disorganized and hard to find anything at times. We haven't had any packages stolen, so again, no big deal for us there. I think noise can be an issue when you're closer to the 7th floor (amenities floor), since the pool and lounges are common spaces. I'm not so close, so again, I personally haven't had that issue, but it all depends on whether you're closer or facing the pool/outdoor space. Feel free to message me on Instagram if you have specific questions about the unit you're looking at, I can definitely give more opinions/look into it!

@@EshiJay Thank you so much! Those are really good ideas!
If possible maybe a good video idea would be how to qualify/ get approved for an apartment lol asking for a friend

How is the sound proofing in the unit? Do you hear your neighbors to the sides of you or above you walking?
Don't hear neighbors above me, rarely hear neighbors to sides unless they're throwing a party and blasting music 😂
I noticed a crane outside your window. Is a new building going up? If so, what side of the building is the construction on? Thanks.

Do they have guest parking ?
