When you put the battery tender on, you can trigger the latch so it turns off the trunk light. Then reset it with the little latch in the side of the locking mechanism. Dealer showed me it the other day! 😉 Another thing is trying a LiFePo4 battery? I'm thinking of getting one. Its costly but people on LT seem to say it has eliminated or at least reduced the battery tending.
I got a white evora 400 4 months ago and I love it. The steering wheel is a disaster.. I have a leather and alcantara mix on mine. The leather is sticky and the alcantara is spongy and gross. I will be looking at replacing the steering wheel! I have the lowr end audio unit so this will also be replaced during winter. I noticed the limp mode is reset in 5 mins. Turn off the car and lock the doors, unlock and voila. I had a dirty maf sensor and it threw it in limp mode until I cleaned it.
Yes the new steering wheel makes the world of a difference I would highly recommend the company that I used. The carbon fiber steering wheel made the car a different car I can't tell you how much I love the steering wheel. The emira steering wheel is actually nicer but maybe they copied the new steps to the evora as well. I'm going to be putting a lot of carbon fiber on my Emira and we'll be making a new video soon

What I've been hearing when I called Lotus a couple of years ago. It really depends on the builder. I've had mine without a trickle charge for 2 months and it started right up. Also the light bulb and gas door are independent issues from builders on the vehicles. Thank goodness I haven't had problems besides the sub par brake switch that seems flimsy.
@@chugchug5657 wow, so you can have the battery last more than a week? Do you lock your car? I leave mine unlocked and on the charger. I wonder if locking the car would help
@@v317865 4-5 days that's nuts. My Evora has 0 draw issues thankfully. It can stay parked in the garage for weeks and start right up when i want it too. There has to be a fix for that. I did some searching for you on the lotus forums but there are tons of different suggestions for various issues. I will say, my cab lights stayed on once even after i closed the doors and walked away. I came back and hour or so later and noticed the dash and interior glow was still on. Maybe radio, amp or even the rear hatch lights you removed could be on when you leave the car. Might be worth the time to just run a multimeter on all the fuses to see if any are drawing power with the car off and key away from you. Wish you luck either way, just found your channel, glad to see some more lotus content on youtube. :)
Love the car.
Great car, perfect choice!

Why are you putting more CF when you're going to sell it?
How long does it take for the battery to die without a trickle charge?
4-5 days. Just got a new battery as well so its part of the Evora design :)
