Hello awesome fox body 😍 awesome 😊❤& happy new years 😀 ❤
Perfect spec!! Congratulations 🎉
YOU haven't tried sport mode???
@@kevozzi52 well, 4 years agp, no but now that it's broken in I use it.
Team Evora
100 percent agree. Just drove it recently. They went in the completely wrong direction with the refreshed cayenne. Last gen was significantly better.
@@haochen5973 I tell you every time I drive the car I hate it more and more I wish they had another version I can trade it in. Even though the overall car is great there's too many little things that make it hateful. I don't remember a car I hated thus much. I hate it so much my wife will always drive doesn't want to hear me complain about it
@@v317865 lol seems like you’re stuck with it friend. To be honest I find the macan and cayenne to be overpriced relative to what they offer from a daily driver perspective. I prefer Audi SUVs. Have two thus far. I also see you have a GTS 4.0. Enjoy it! Had a 718 Spyder and 18’ 911 C4S. Loved them both.
@haochen5973 the Macan we had was great. My wife wanted a bigger car. We'll she got it. The 718 is a great car as well. Next I would like a 911. Let's hope manuals will be around when I am ready. I did try to get a spyder but the dealer would not sell me one. I wanted to build it. I did build my 718 gts but really wanted a spyder. I got a lotus because they would not let me build one.
@@v317865 I got a Spyder allocation right before covid lockdown. Was great. Then had a baby and got the 911. Sold that. Hoping to get into a at some point!
I'm hearing it works with AT&T now. Is that confirmed?
@@mgewarges I don't know about today or now but AT&T blocked my data. But the voice did work. I switched to a third party that still uses AT&T and my phone works but I do not have visual voicemail and I do not have Wi-Fi calling. Still worth it
I have owned mine for nearly 18 months. Only issue I have had is the hill start assist. Very reliable in every other way....Excellent drivers car.
Would like connect with you about evora vs emira. If you have sold one of them no issues but if looking to sell I am in the market. Was looking for your contact info but did not find it. Thats why I am leaving a comment
@@JunaidKhan-cw4dc hi, I have both and a 718. I am thinking about selling the evora but I think the love for the car is a higher value than the bluebook value. Do you have linked in? You can message me on that.
Beautiful car! Congrats! Just come clarifications on what were probably just simple mis-speaks: 1. Allocation, not allegation. 2. Supposedly, the entire cayman lineup will be EV (not just "manuals" going away). 3. They still make GT3's. I think you meant to say that you wanted a GT4, but that there are only GT4RS being produced now. Enjoy the heck out of this thing! I can't wait till mine arrives next year! Cheers!

I had an Exige for almost 15 years. Never had a big problem with it, but I did get tired of the dealership being 30 miles away. The yearly trip for the oil change and other maintenance got too burdensome. Loved the car though. I considered getting an Emira last year but decided on a Porsche. Ran over a nail in the first 100 miles just like the one in your video, and immediately learned about Porsche's tire repair policy that you mentioned!
I am waiting on a 3rd edition (2025 model) same color as yours Atlantis Blue, gonna check the windshield upon delivery, could be the aluminum frame moves (flexes) hope not. as for check engine light that could be gas cap issue. not concerned about a few errors as long as they reset. I see yours is 1rst edition I wonder if Lotus will keep making new editions?
@@dronesetc9769 I can't tell you the last time I drove the car without the check engine lights on. The problem is I don't drive it a lot and the sos battery dies as it can only be charged while driving. Some odd reason the tires lose air after a few months.
Lotus has never ever had good build quality or reliable engines.. ever. Pretty designs... just garbage vehicles.
@@eman7892 it's my favorite car. I love this car. Lotus is great and I plan on buying the last manual before they move to electricity.
Why do so many have unfinished garages?
@@Whillie_Whonka1 you can fit more cars when it's not painted.
Good looking car!
my dream
Lol
Gorgeous car, and I've been cross shopping it with C8, and Boxter 4.0.But the truth is that I'm afraid to get into bed with a Lotus due to the long history of issues.
@@robertbrody4032 hi, I have a gts and emira. Porsche is a great car but the car blends in. The Lotus is also great and it looks great. If you have a dealer close then not a big deal if it's your second car. Overall they are different cars and depending on your needs should determine which car you get. If it's a daily driver I'd get the Porsche. Weekend car get the lotus. C8 automatic. Would pass😁
@@v317865 I do have a dealer 20 minutes away. II have yet to drive the Lotus, but it's probably not the right fit for now. This will be more of a GT for me, which is why I'm leaning towards a C8 and I do prefer a convertible.. With the C8's Magnetic ride, it's the best daily driver that can still get out of its own way and look good doing it. Here in LA it seems like everyone has a Porsche or a Tesla, so that does take some of the charm away from the Boxter. I'm coming out of a Hellcat and two AMG's, so looking for something different. I even toyed with buying a M4 convertible X-Drive, but I feel like I already had some of that experience with the AMG. Anyway...that Lotus is stunning! Enjoy it!
The C8 costs about the same as the lotus, has tech that the lotus doesn't have, like a front lift, video screen for your rear view camera. A back up can plus two front cameras, heads up display... Oh and the C8 can memorize places you use your lift, when I drive home, the car lifts its nose automatically and lowers it automatically when I leave. Built in sat Nav. I don't even need a phone. Wireless hot spot. Side mirrors that dim at night. A front cargo area. A built in dashcam that can record hundred of hours. Five different drive modes. Multi memory seat settings. And depending on the keyfob, it will change the seat settings. So if my wife gets on, it knows its her and adjusts accordingly. Remote start from like a mike away with out the need for an app. I can roll my windows down remotely too. Top comes off and now you have a cabriolet. The car has a zero to 60 time that bears the pants off the lotus. I can beat a lotus with out using launch control in sport, not even in track. The car also has wireless charging for phones. Heated and cooled seats and seating wheel. Door handles are hidden. Most people can't figure out how to get in it. That's fun. V8 versus a super charged v6. You can get snaps out of the corvette when you shift. Shifting is fast and in auto while dynamically change depending on your driving so the automatic shifting will become more sport like, even in touring. And of course the looks. Half the time I am out in the C8 I am getting filmed or talked to. It turns into a mini car show. I wanted the lotus emira before and had the down, but it kept getting pushed back so I gave up and got the vette instead. I think I made the better choice. 750s is my next car though, hopefully.
@@darksideblues135 C8 is obviously a better daily driver and all around car and if you get the HTC, it's MUCH more fun. Still love the Lotus though. I'm crosshopping the C8, BMW M4 X drive and maybe the Porsche Boxter 4.0. Must have a ragtop!
@darksideblues135 Everybody is different, and if you're happy with your choice, then you made the right decision. I personally have a Lotus Evora and an Emira, as well as a 718 GTS. Each car offers something unique-while I enjoy driving the Porsche as my daily, the Lotus feels much more special. That being said, while this Corvette looks amazing, I'm not ready to transition to an automatic transmission just yet. Just like the Corvette, the Porsche is everywhere-they don’t stand out. People don’t even look, not that it matters, but it’s just too much of a common car, at least here in America. As long as Lotus and Porsche continue to offer manuals, those will be the cars I stick with.

@@an_kan none so far but only 500 miles
Honestly all of the newer cars seem to struggle with software in one form or another. Some can just be worse than others. Having issues going into D, R etc would get old really fast though.
I love you dad
So many people hating on this review saying your problems are subjective. They are all Porche fanboys. While you made the mistake of prioritizing the critisism of color and rims (which is not fair since it's a taste thing, and kinda your fault to not look for another spec), it is no excuse to porsche for shipping a car with a slow infotainement in 2024 and buttons that sometimes decide to not work. Nowdays Porsche are fancy VWs, instead of the other way around. Cheap tech is being used on more expensive cars, instead of high end tech trickling down to cheaper ones. The same thing is happening with Audi.
problem is there's no inventory and they won't let you build because they don't have any allocations
Great video 🤓!!! Congratulations on snagging one of the remaining 718CGTS4.0 factory allocations and taking delivery of your new car! Last year in February 2023, I acquired my new 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 which has the 4L NA flat six cylinder engine (same unit as a GT4) and a PDK gearbox. Power output (394 bhp) and torque (317 lb-ft) are a nice match to this car's sensible curb weight (~3200 lbs). The color is Gentian Blue metallic with a black/chalk all-leather interior and silver wheel rims. It's definitely an entertaining driver's car! So far, I've only done 819 miles but hopefully a lot more this next coming Summer! The PDK is also a lot of fun (it's definitely quick) 🤓 All the best and thanks again from Colorado!
