Good luck with that. This dude have NO CLUE how to measure. He is measuring for a picture frame NOT for a new wall oven cabinet. He is missing one of the dimensions.
Lol. Yes he has a point that those measurements are important, but if you get it professionally installed, you want to get a oven that fits your current cutout dimensions. Meaning the part of the oven that rests in the cabinet, not the trim or “overall measurements”. In order to obtain those measurements you would remove the screws that are securing unit to the cabinet and slide it out about and inch or so. While yes his measurements are great to know how big of oven you can get, but more times than not you will need modifications to cut the cutout opening of your cabinets which wouldn’t be included in the installation price. Depending on the installation company you they may not even be able to do these modifications and you’ll have to do them yourself or pay someone else to them. If the company is able to them, it could be any where 75-500 dollars depending on the extent.

Valid points. I learned that cut out dimensions are more important if I want the new oven to fit into the existing opening without modifications. My current oven is a 30” GE single oven and cabinet has 27” cut out in height. I found out not all ovens fit that. LG requires 29” cut out height even though the overall dimension is similar to the GE oven.
Yep, the cut-out dimensions are so important that they even list it in the product description when purchasing for a new oven. This video is meant to throw off people so that they have to call and hire these so-called custom installers to come and modify the fitting. I guess they’ve gotta make a living, but to make video and leave that vital detail out is a bit deceiving.
