I've watched this video at least 10x, waiting to have the guts to build mine. New to all this woodworking stuff, but here goes! Thanks for all the GREAT videos. 🙌
This video took me back to 1971 5th grade Upper Heyford AFB England, Wood shop class we used Jig, band, and Table saw's unsupervised the shop teacher was in the room.
great video. I am converting a single oven into a double oven DIY and discovering many things (challenges) that I never thought of until I started this project
Cabinet looks to be super sturdy, but watch for the j-box location. It's critical. the electrical whip on the GE double wall oven is like 3 feet only. Also, to give you more depth, don't even put a back to the cabinet on. Leave it open to the drywall. Then the electrical whip wont get bunched up behind when installing!
Burning the lead paint makes up for you trying to appeal to the hipsters. Everyone wins. Living in harmony. Dang now I'm sounding like a hipster. I blame the green tea latte.
The number one channel for DIYers is likely Renovision with Jeff Thorton. He has over 3 million subscribers. But, hey, good on this guy for believing in himself 😁
See if you can find an older Kreg jig with the clamp handle on the front I think it’s the K3 It’s enough of a struggle picking up those heavy sheets of plywood! Then you have to do a reach around
Hipster green tea? 🍵🤨 Well, latte dah for you. (300 pounds...? Wow... Wonder if that includes the weight of a 20lb turkey, 5lb ham & 6lb green bean casserole dish? There goes dinner, thru the floor, CRASH, lol...) (Chai latte drinker - feel the burn ☕🔥 :)
Hey bro, what’s the dimensions of your main shop area? I’m building a metal building next year and want to get an idea of what kind of space Ill be dealing with.
Go as big as possible! I build garages for a living and EVERYONE regrets having not gone bigger! I’m even planning on adding a whole new bay to my garage to double the size.
I think you should do a COLLABORATION with Pure Living For Life once they tackle their kitchen cabinets. I have sent them your cabinet playlist on their Facebook page. The panhandle of Idaho isn't that far from you
You start out with 3 minutes of nonsense. You fast forward (without comment) on the cutting steps, and you slow to real time when drinking. I sure hope I can find better instructions in other YT videos.
Holy cow! A fireplace surrounded by piles of scrap wood. What could go wrong there? Love your videos. Stay safe!
No worries ~ he can just grab an oily rag from the pile in the corner & beat out the flames. 😂
Track saw is on my Christmas list.

So did you build it?
How did it turn out???

Selling product while building product! This is a true entrepreneur!
My OCD loves your efficient use of material!
great video. I am converting a single oven into a double oven DIY and discovering many things (challenges) that I never thought of until I started this project
The color grading, product placement, stove subject deviation to fill time.. your videos are getting better and better! Oh, the cabinet is good also.

Good common sense but having a back keeps the cabinet stable & prevents racking, yes?
Yes the back is structural. It is only 1/2" thick
No shame in merch placement! Love it!
A piece of California crumbles Everytime the handyman makes a video! Keep making them please
Be careful what you wish for. They'll move to your state
Real subtle with the product placement.
"Oh this old thing? That's my Handyman mug. Thanks for asking". Aren't you worried about the California dust while cutting? 😄😄
Flaunting that Merch! Looking good!
We’re you describing your husband LOL you are awesome my cabinet looks fabulous lol
Love the attention to branding! A self marketing genius.

I bet Handy Andy would look good wearing some capri pants and a man bun 👀
LOL>
😅😂🤣
Thought when you were burning ‘lead paint’ haha: I didn’t know Ron Swanson had a little brother!
7:10 your merch has what plants crave!
It's got electrolytes.
Gotta love the unapologetic product placement. The things you can get away with when you’re the Best home improvement channel in the world.
Awesome work thanks for the awesome content keep it up
Could you tell me what you use for the cabinet facing? Was it just 1x2 or was it strips of plywood?
the frames were all made of poplar. 1x2
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that doesn't have a pristine shop that looks like its never seen a speck of saw dust.
I am replacing double wall oven and the rough opening needs to be a little widen 1/4" on each side what do you think is best machine to use?
Track saw. And a guy that knows how to use it. The flange on your new unit will cover up the cut edges.
Where di you find the plans for the cabinet?
Looks good
See if you can find an older Kreg jig with the clamp handle on the front I think it’s the K3
It’s enough of a struggle picking up those heavy sheets of plywood! Then you have to do a reach around
Ayyyyyyyyooooooo... hipsters are here to learn how to cut man bun
green tea? your health is your wealth.
Lol he only brought the tea up for product placement. He was drinking a Coke
@@MedPack0087 his loss then.
and maybe yours. lol

How did you get such a nice finish on your 3/4 inch plywood brother?
The hipster crowd 😅😂🤣
You should add crazy construction noises to the sped up parts.
Hummmm. You have me thinking.
@@TheHandyman1 LoL, hammers, saws, jack hammers...all of the wrong sounds. We have high expectations for an April 1st video!

@7:10 perfect product adjustment! :)
@7:51 LOL @ the board with the upturned 2" nails sticking out of it. This is a WorkShop!!!
Might be a silly question but what is the point of the rosters on the fire place?
He may place his tea kettles on the rotors to brew the green tea lattes. They also serve as heat radiators.
Hey bro, what’s the dimensions of your main shop area? I’m building a metal building next year and want to get an idea of what kind of space Ill be dealing with.
20x30 I need double that.
Go as big as possible! I build garages for a living and EVERYONE regrets having not gone bigger! I’m even planning on adding a whole new bay to my garage to double the size.
The Handyman No doubt. The maximum size I can fit is a 30x35. We’ll see how it shakes...
How do you get such clean pocket holes? Mine usually have bad tear out even with a new kreg bit.
That product placement reminds me of the scene in Wayne’s World.
No asbestos to burn??
Question The Handyman - Why did you put the pocket holes on the outside of the frame rather than the inside? Are you skinning the outside? Thanks
Yes. Since there are 3 different boxes that make up this one massive cabinet the outside gets skinned.
is the plywood prefinished?
Yes

“Poundage” 😆😆😂😂😂
Handyman what was the tool you clamped on the 4x8 sheet and then used a saw on it to make the cut?
Its a track saw.
Do u have women’s shirts?
Maybe it’s just where it’s the holidays. :)
I’ve learned SO much from you!
I use to but no one bought them. I will see if I can get some back up on the website. What colors do you think ladies would like?
Coor's Banquet beer in the background at 4:16
Is that a specific Dewalt track saw system?
yes.
Intro and outro bro! Do it!
What type of wood is he using to build the cabinet?
Prefinished maple two sides by the look of it.
Good old lead Paint in the fire. Lmao
When is the flex volt tracksaw review going to get here?
That's right!
What type of wood is that?
Better get that friable asbestos stove gasket replaced soon.
Are the homeowners watching these videos? I would think they'd really be interested and enjoy them, seriously
They are not.
Subtle product placement. 👌
Will the cabinets be heat proof?
HUH????
Hey handyman, who’s mirch is that?
mine
Lol I know!
NEED A BIGGER WORKSHOP, YOU GOT THE MONEY. DO IT DO IT DO IT
Some day. This is about as big of a lot and out building I can get in the city.
O MAN
Do you think you could add a European man bag to the store?
You were a day late HandyMaaan, I had to build one today, thanks for nothing.
There's no AK symbol to be found on anything in thehandyman.store. Very disappointing.
Correction: The number one home improvement channel "in the woooooorld" !
You must be talking about hipsters from Portland lol 😂
Green tea, that a new pale ale?
We all know that you wear pants that don’t go all the way down.
His pants go all the way down. What they don't do is go all the way up. Particularly when he's on a plumbing job.
Minute 7:11 Quick subliminal commercial lol
I won, first stalker here. Lol.
You should be careful kinda have a messy floor
Serious poundage!!!
Those woodscraps and clutter near the stove are a fire hazard !!
Its not a scarf, its a cravat!
LOL. I will take your word for it.
how wide. 30 inches
Damn it man. You lost me at the intro. Great product placement as well.
Why didnt this show up in my notifications
Did you click the bell?

So, I watched you build it. But,you didn’t teach how to build.
