We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️ - Розваги
❤my dad owned a chinese restaurant. he worked so hard and refined all the recipes. orange chicken was customers' favorite. thanks for sharing the recipe. it looks like my dad's.❤
Your dad added corn starch for sure! Sam missed out 🤷 Asians do it best! Duck, chix, etc...
Perfect oven wing recipe! I make wings once a week and use nearly the same method, my wing "dust" includes garlic and onion powder, and smoked paprika. Cooking method is identical with one twist - when wings temp at 180 I switch my oven from bake to broil and move my sheet pan up to two notches below the broiler and get the wing skin a little blackened. Not that you need my validation, but your technique is spot on!
Got to add this - years ago when I first started following here I used the traditional "broiler pan". YOU, SAM, changed my life forever when I saw you using sheet pans and racks. Oh boy, my wife went through the roof when AMZ delivery dropped off a fleet of sheet pans, 1/4s, 1/2s, even a full sheet pan. Today she tells me she can't believe we could have even existed without them.
I learned this baking powder trick recently and was amazed! Finally I can make crispy chicken wings without needing a fryer, air fryer or convection oven. And I love chicken wings!
Sam, can you do an episode of different wing sauces? Like a certain famous wing place’s, but better and homemade?
I think he did one already.
That's what I use to make my oven wings crispy! A trick with the baking powder, though... Use the aluminum-free version (Rumford?) to avoid getting a weird aftertaste.
That's what it is...aluminum? I hate that pasty weird taste. I will try again. With your recommendation. Thanks.
I'm thinking baking soda rather than powder. Sodium bicarbonate enhances the Maillard Reaction (browning) and helps tenderize.
Baking powder does include baking soda, which does said, but also has cream of tartar and/or cornstarch to help balance out the bitter flavor from the baking soda.
@zephyr242 that makes sense, if as noted it's the non-aluminum type. Thanks 😊
You know what’s crazy literally made these a week ago before you recorded this video such a fan been watching for years & your show give’s motivation to try different ideas. Continue to be the amazing chef/host wishing you & the boy’s blessings blessings abundance peace happiness joy serenity prosperity harmony wealth & health with love & respect a fan💯💯💯🖤✨🖤✨
Thanks for making cooking orange chicken so accessible. Love the show. Would love to see a STCG take on bimibap and what toppings you would choose.
I needed a good orange sauce recipe, can't wait to try this one.
I cooked wings today and let them get up to 210 degrees. They were AMAZING!! I didn't do this sauce, I actually used the line of hot sauce from Hot Ones Season 20. My mouth is still on fire.
Good idea !
A suggestion for a future video: your own version of the beef Wellington
Cheers from San Diego California
Love the baking powder addition to coding the chicken wings. Can't wait to try it! 😎
orange chicken......i can't get enough of it. i buy chicfila nuggets, then stir fry them with orange sauce from panda express to serve over hwite rice. it's to die for.😄☺🤤
Hell yeah! Definitely making that sauce
Haven’t seen one of your videos since last year. I’ve missed soo much. Dang algorithms. Glad to be back
I have the same garlic press. I love it because I don’t have to peel the garlic.
And I love orange chicken.
Will be trying this one.
Thanks.
Just ordered the seasoning that you came out with
These look really amazing! Going to have to add these to the wing repertoire. These on the Traeger would be insane.
I love it too, If you love cooking, we will be proud if you visit our channel🥰
I made these last night for the family. They were a big hit!
Made these today and they were amazing!
Have liked your show (both content and format) since I discovered it during the pandemic .
But/and have to give you all more compliments for your presentation and the combination of video and sound choices - elegant, clear, fun - especially when compared to many other cooking videos.
Great job guys! Thank you
Yep. Gonna have to make these.
Could you make traditional Canadian Dry Ribs from Western Canadian Greek Family Restaurants?
Serendipity is that I have wings, an orange, ginger, garlic, and spices to make my dinner. A little seasoned rice flour versus baking powder will give a nice crispy coating.
I like the longer videos, Love to watch Sam work.
Me too, If you love cooking, we will be proud if you visit our channel🥰
Yep...Max was in a hurry...again.
Thanks. I can get everything here in Costa Rica to make these.
Smoked paprika in the baking powder mixture! Deeper color and super flavor blast.
Love the sauce with wings!!
Air fryer for the wings, from frozen - 28 minutes @ 385 degrees F, turn twice. They come out SUPER crispy. I've been tossing the wings in chili sauce because it's ... easy - but this seems delicious.
You seriously air frying directly from frozen? If this is true then it's a game changer for cooking wings
@@wtfchazpwnt I absolutely did!
I love everything about this channel. This is real cooking. Still didn't do those stuffed chicken Kievs yet. I'm crying for them.
Please try a few Chicken Kievs boys... Love to see how you'd make that epic meal in a bite. O.k. You can add some rice, noodles, or tatoes. I'll allow it. :)
@@CONTINGENCY_sys I've been making Chicken Kiev for 50 years!!!! My butter not seeping out is hit and miss. Would love to have a foolproof method to stop the leakage.
the Capital One shopping is sad though... that's really sketch
@@SonOfTamriel ?
Simple easy. Love it 👍
i love it, If you love cooking, we will be proud if you visit our channel🥰
Flippin A man!
Now I’m starving. Definitely going to have to try these.
Can't wait to try this one! We are making your Korean beef tacos tonight for the first time. We love Sam and the kids!
The sauce is really really good. Not sure how I feel about the baked wings but the baking powder really did crisp up the skin
Capital one shopping actually saves me quite a bit. hahaha Shilling for a credit card company isn't an everyday occurrence for me.
I've actually been looking for a whiskey ginger wing recipe. Do you think you can convince Max to let you make some! Love the content, Sam and the boys!
Yummmmmmm
You guys have made tacos,Tamales, enchiladas, can you try making Salvadoran Pupusas? You guys are awesome!
I'm coming back to San Diego just to dine at your little place again!!!
You got me at orange
I just invested in a Insta Pot Sam, I'm going to try some of your great ideas. Looking forward to it. 😎🥘👌👍
I've been watching STCG for a while now and my FOOD world has become amazing! These wings look amazing so I'll make them this weekend but I have to say, when you're hungry and lazy, the RAMEN recipes kicked serious A$$! Just had some Asian sweet & sour stir-fry sausage and egg ramen noodles while I watched. 🤘😎
Hey Sam! Please let me suggest potato starch. I'm liking the results so much better than corn starch! Also, how about this - roast the wings for just a little less time, then at the end, coat the wings with the sauce then finish them under the broiler for a few minutes to caramelize. Now eat them with no muss, no fuss!
Another great recipe Sam, Max send Chance. But yet another thing I won't ever get to try because I am allergic to anything chicken related. Great show today guys.
My Mom has a recipe for a sweet wing marinade/glaze. Just 3 ingredients: Frozen concentrate of lemonade. Catalina dressing. Onion soup mix. It used to be one can, one bottle, one packet. But that was in the '80s when she thought it up. Since then, the companies have changed the packaging sizes, so she has to fiddle with it when she makes it these days.
Ottimo!
gotta make these
THIS, is the kind of shit I like to see on your channel. Everything's great, keep up the awesome work!!! But I especially enjoy the Asian protein type videos. Always simple and delicious.
Hey Sam! As a guy who LOVES extra crispy wings would you recommend an air fryer at any point for the wings? Maybe a baking/air fry combo?
Air-frying wings works great. I do it all the time. There's plenty of videos out there that'll show you how.
Love it!!!!!
me too, If you love cooking, we will be proud if you visit our channel🥰
I’m definitely making these
Looks fantastics If you love cooking, we will be proud if you visit our channel🥰
looks delicious
Oh snap! And, yes use McKenzies or Rumford baking powder! Yum chick chick!
Instead of griping that there's no recipe I'm gonna help Make America Cook Great Again by keying it in here:
Open 1.5 lb pack of wings.
Separate into flats and drummies
Dry well. Rest in the fridge uncovered for 2 hrs to overnight.
Mix 2 T baking powder, pinch of Salt, Pepper, garlic powder.
Toss wings baking powder mix
Bake at 425F for about 60 mins, turn three times. Temp to about 180.
Chicken breast does good to 150’s but these can take more heat.
To an oiled pan, add a T of minced ginger, plus 2 clover garlic. Bloom for one min.
Add 3/4 C OJ
3 T soy sauce
1 T rice wine vinegar
2 T brown sugar
S&P
Red pepper flake.
1 tsp orange Zest
Simmer 5 mins.
Thicken with a cornstarch slurry.
Toss finished wings in sauce. Garnish with sesame seed and sliced scallions.
The baking powder method tastes a bit metallic to me. I do a two stage method (air fryer). Coat with seasoning (s&p) and then toss in flour. Par-bake at 270 for 25 min flipping. Chill then air fry 450 for 8-9 minutes.
Mostly I was here for the saucing!!
You had me at WINGS. ❤️ to Sam and the boys!
I know you have done thanksgiving dinner, but maybe show how to make and serve a salad and then the main course with sides and then a dessert. While keeping everything from getting cold.
I saved this before I watched. Because I just knew. Annnnnnd, yep. Yum!
looks amazing
Exactly, If you love cooking, we will be proud if you visit our channel🥰
Definitely hard to find good orange chicken. Cannot wait to try it when I can get up off the couch!
If you have an air fryer the wings cook way way faster & come out legit crunchy & moist. I don’t use any baking powder or cornstarch
Those wings look awesome! I wonder how this would taste using an orange liqueur?
I always push thru all the ads on any website.....here for content not ads......
Watched the orange chicken burrito this morning lol. 🍻 boys
Pro tip: CAREFULLY peel the orange with a vegetable peeler [to avoid the pith] and whiz the peels up in a tiny food processor [or Vitamix] along with the juice, thej add to the saucepan.
You know that smells good. 😋
When a sauce does that thing, it’s called napping (you will have a nice nappe consistency on the spoon/pan) 😊 knowing is half the battle!
G.I.Joe a real American hero......G.I.Joe.
Sorry that comment made me fall into my childhood. It's awesome 😎
@@jaimeschmidt1264 ha! I’m glad the reference made you happy!
Besides his cool delivery style and cool persona the fact that he's a San Diego boy makes it even better. Carlsbad or Encinitas.. my guess is Encinitas
Funny, for me. I had just finished getting wings ready and was looking for something other than hot sauce. Saw this STCG listing. Prophetic.
24 Hours later. W I N N E R !!!.
Fast to make and the flavor. Making this one instead of Buffalo spiced for a while. A long while.
Hey Sam, wings look amazing.. I would love to see your take on an italian dish called "Assassins Pasta".
*RECIPE SUGGESTION* I know you guys love making burritos (who doesn’t?) but the new thing we’ve been doing at home is making Instant Pot burrito bowls. They are amazing…especially with some mini round tortilla chips! Look them up - I’m sure you guys could come up with a banger of a recipe!
Trying this today as a slow cooker sauce with a mix of boneless breast and thighs. Will add the cornstarch slurry after chicken is cooked and shredded.
I'm in a mexican mood, can y'all do some guisado, or mole, or some cheesy creamy poblano chicken burritos? We must be on a similar wavelength because I literally made orange chicken and fried rice last night!
Does the baking soda trick work as well when you deep fry?
Hell yes Sam! Beautiful Cheers 🍻
Great recipe! I had to get a 5lb bag of wings because my family went crazy with this recipe.
Oh man, that looks so good! Gonna make some this weekend for sure. Thanks Sam and crew.
looks amazing, If you love cooking, we will be proud if you visit our channel🥰
Ina Garten says ' Jefferey Loves Chicken " Great Video as always Guys and gals
what brand of pan are you using, looks really good
Awesome!
Making these for date night
Mmmmmmmm Trevor want wingy. Maybe the same sauce but tenders or a sandwich
So good
I saw the steam rolling off those wings and got a little worried for Sam. “He’s not… Surely he’s going to let those cool down first right?” 😂
Nope
I think this recipe is meant to have baking soda instead of baking powder. Baking powder creates chemical leavening, like a yeast substitute, but baking powder adds crispiness to meat products. Looks delicious though.
If I wanted to make these boneless, what would you suggest? How long to cook for?
Tommy likey. Tommy want wingie.
Tommy boy
Ajjaajajajaj
🤣
My thoughts exactly! Right from the opening shots.
Shut up
Can you use corn starch instead of baking powder ?
Sick, def try.❤🇨🇦
Sam needs to take a leaf out of chef Frank Proto's "make sure it goes everywhere" book 🙂 I always watch until the end as sometimes there are outtakes and bickering 🥰
Max had to cut... Those wings burnt that old mans mouth!! YT is all about that sensaship!! You guys are awesome!
Invest in a book called "The Sauce Bible". It has the best glaze instructions and recipes on the planet and has mind blowing illustrations. You should have used a bit of orange zest as well
Sam! What about making a loaded brisket twice baked potato!!
These look fantastic.....must try this weekend! Thanks for this!!
its amazing, If you love cooking, we will be proud if you visit our channel🥰
I WILL MAKE THESE WITH MY AIR FRYER-Thanks Guys ( hmmm i wonder if shrimp will be good also?)
Hello from long time silent subscriber. I was wondering if you have ever thought about doing a video on a crawfish and or seafood boil? They are very popular now on mukbang videos, some bought from restaurants and/or made from home. I would like to see your take on a recipe with the various sauces that are mentioned. Thanks for the consideration. Take care.
What kind of pan is the one Sam used for the sauce?
Sam, what’s the little hot plate thing? Is it in your store?
Sam, can you guys do homemade hot pockets???
I'm doing this-but wings in the air fryer instead! Crispy in 20 minutes without the baking powder.
How do I get the pan you use for the sauce in this video?
Yummy!
I have 2 huge bags of chicken wings to use..
What other wing recipes you have?
I have your hot wings recipe, need more for the big day..
Edit..
I will make those and as a
PLUS..
Make some with Ginger, love the Ginger..
Orange-Ginger wings.
