Sam is real, not a TAKE 45 kinda guy in this fake ass world of make believe perfection. I love his content and family spirit having his sons and at times his wife chiming in in the background. Sam got me cooking again, my family is happy when they see me cause Auntie / Roxy (that's me) gonna throw down 😏. And on a serious note helped me through my depression. and how not to take things too seriously... Thank you

His type of sense of humor is very specific, a little on the "dark" side as I call it, and for ppl who have that same type of humor, (me), we think he's hilarious. HOWEVER,,, for those who have a sense of humor that is not in alignment with his, or is the opposite, (nice, sweet, thoughtful of others, etc., like my wife's), Sam rubs them the wrong way. 2. I think ppl who are think THEY are the best at everything and THEIR humor is the best - they feel threatened by ppl like Sam who is smart and accomplished in his own right. The Internet is so full of haters who hide behind a curtain and would not say the same things to a person's face. Cowards. Sam the cooking guy is not only entertaining, his vids are informative and helpful. I've made several recipes based on his videos and the guests raved about the food. He knows what he's doing. If you can't say something positive, just move on. No need to turn your own unhappy depressing life into negatives for others.

Hi Sam I gave up cooking 30 years ago and became a store person, but I was a very talented cook that was untapped in what i could do and I am now just retired but when u said u didn't go to culinary school all my hopes in the cooking world gave me a lot of confidence back, just love ur shows and I do similar dishes to what u do, and I tell all my friends to watch u I'm a big fan.

Newly subscribed to the channel; been watching for quite some time. I enjoy the channel because I enjoy "real" .. not fake; and I see Sam and Max making mostly great videos of improvents to existing recipes. I'm pretty sure no one forces me to like every recipe Sam lays out; but I do appreciate the ideas ... and the positive push to not just settle for the norm... change it up, enjoy your food .... or not.
