I did the ccv mod. I don’t have much blow by. But it’s got crazy vapor/ smoke coming out of it once it’s warm. Put it back to stock cause that vapor stinks bad.

I drilled a hole in my oil filler cap added a 90 degree fitting and attached some 3/4 hose and ran it under the truck. Works great and was a cheap easy way to add a dual vent.
We've lost two Power Stroke Treasures in both Bill Hewitt and Diesel tech Ron, also glad to see Ron's channel is still up and bet he's still getting tons of hits for 7.3 info!
Losing Bill is a shock and as a fellow Georgian I know the whole Power Stroke Community feels a great lose like Diesel tech Ron 😥😥

Hey Clint. I just wanted to say I saw this UA-cam video that a young kid had done saying why the F 350 7.3l was the worst truck ever made. While watching his video I had to laugh and just tell him ah maybe if you did some routine maintenance on your truck. I wish I would have saved the video so you could see. Routine Maintenance is a most no matter the vehicle.
How much would any of u pay for this 99 f350 7.3 dually extended cab short box so I know what value I’m looking at it’s got 200k easy miles very little towing just a camper on bed it has rust on the bottom rockers of just the 3rd doors otherwise none light surface rust underneath it all has a 5th wheel mount already but never got used has some light wear interior good new tires only major issues are the oil pan is shot and the rear diff leaks a little. I got the truck for a grand off an old lady paint is in great shape too I think I got a hell of a deal runs awesome no noises that are not intended a little rust spot on the turbo but she purrs nice shifts great right steering

Idea Clint, have you thought about modifying the oil fill cap on the passenger head to be a CCV? I think it might be an easier mod than installing the dog house on the cover?

I have a 2000 f250 7.3 I got it when it only had 146000 miles now I have 463033
I keep oil changed every 4000 miles
And I don’t have any leaks
I have question about pressure washing motor I did it in past and it’s real dirty now I’d like to get your recommendation on if you think it would hurt any thing to do it lightly and use super clean
I wash all mine 1 time every year the cleaner you stated is great I use purple power X 2 When spraying the pressure washer I just make sure I don't hit wires and connectors and I'll get the sprayer right in there otherwise, Its much easier to spot problems with a clean engine I also do it in hot weather so it can dry out the rest of the day
When are you going to do the rest of the videos on how to complete this task of the dual crank case ventilation system?
Would a T fitting on the driver's side with a cross over from the passenger side work?
I need to be careful in what I show and direct as long as all tubes run down hill like plumbing in a house your golden The reason I state to make 2 one for each side is that you can imagine some genius will try to run one and the tube will be up hill causing a build up of vapor that would clog the gas out put then blame me for messing up there engine
Why don’t we manufacture apart and get some of these sold I got some CNCs

Why did they figure it was fine to vent one side and not the other? Worded another way. Why vent one side at all if the other side isn’t vented. Does the unvented side vent into the side that’s vented?

I’m writing this I have 2003
Nobody can figure out why it produces power sometimes and not other times. Yes to change oil change the fuel filter. All the injectors are working without just replacing everything. Just wanted to get some feedback and step on the Excelerator and there’s just no power. Got a new turbo on it. Any suggestions or any other information? Please reach out I’m I. St. Louis mo

@ customworks I have a 2001 f250 Powerstroke and has a 7.3 engine, I am trying to start it back up after few years not starting, I changed the oil, added fuel and replaced oil and fuel filter also bought batteries but won’t start, it turns over but no start, I tried using brake fluid and still no start any suggestions? I also hooked my OBD2 code reader and powered the truck on but won’t read, could those 2 problems relate or is is that a differ issue?

Why is only one side vented from factory? Wouldn’t only having one side vented cause problems within the engine?
Mfg evaluate what the minimum is so they can save money Not what will make a product last as long as possible If you have noticed new vehicles don't have key locks on the 2 front doors nor the trunk any more most engine parts are plastic now not long lasting aluminum and iron

@@roberthamilton1152 I’ve got a driver and passenger. I bought a set of aluminum valve covers for my truck and they have the ability to run crank case ventilation on each side so, I have a spare set.
97 so I should do the same thing to the driver side???

I've done the wiring harness, and every piece but the PCM. Cps is not topping 170? I know it's turning twice that. I guess I'm going to send the PCM in.
