Mahle is a filter I have not used much but wish I have, a good filter that ticks many boxes for good filters. Seems to never change much and continue to give good Quality.
Mahle is produced in a number of places across China and the quality really depends on the particular place of manufacturing. Different paper quality, different valves, different amount of glue, etc. It seems like Mahle has no it's own quality control and relies on the suppliers. Unlike Mann which is always excellent no matter if it is from Korea or from China. Different approach. I'd say avoid Mahle unless you know exactly what's inside.
Good words to live by, yes Mann are high quality, many manufacturers of one filter is not usually good for that filter. After some more digging into Mahle I see what you mean with some of there quality concerns.
nice clean filter and, it looks well-made, The US manufacturer should take note of how well it is made.
