I personally learn much more from watching someone do it with proper communication after hearing the instructions, and I’m sure many others would like the same. I know the video of the full raid run has those, but that’s the first time clear and strats might have changed. Thanks in advance!

Tip: morgeth prioritises guardians with two strength over one strength. Therefore if one person has two strengths while others have only one, they are guaranteed to be cycloned
@Drew Biggah It makes more sense for him to target and freeze a player with two strengths because anyone with any strengths will die if they attempt to unfreeze a two-strength player. This increases the difficulty by limiting the number of players who can remove the debuff, especially as the cycle continues and more players grab more strengths. This is how you can control the fight. After Player A on the left takes the first blight and the next four blights spawn, player D on the right takes both blights while Players B and C on the left take one blight each. The likelihood that Player D will be frozen is higher because three people on the field now have one each (A, B and C) and therefore cannot remove the Player D debuff without dying. Only 2 of 5 can unfreeze Player D - the two players (E and F) on right with no strengths at all. But if Morgeth freezes anyone on the left (A, B or C) with their one strength, only Player D on the right has too many strengths to safely unfreeze them. So 4 out of 5 can remove that debuff - the two no-strengths on right and the other two one-strengths on left. Either way, whoever is frozen regardless of the side has two other players on their side who are able to grab the Eye and unfreeze them after the first round of four - no one has to run across the map. 1) If Player D is frozen, Player F frees D while taking D's two strengths, and Player E - with no strengths - at that point takes both right blights on the next round of four blights. It's really not that difficult. Go in with a decent sherpa and actually experience it, and it'll start to make a lot more sense. The only thing preventing you from understanding it is the fact that you're telling yourself that you can't understand it. Get that mental block out of the way; it's not as hard as you think.
Excluding Riven (because no one does her legit anymore), I actually had vault mastered before Morgeth because I didn't understand who could take how many strength. I still don't get it but thanks for getting me a little closer Datto. 1st take 1st wave has 2,2,1 2nd wave has 2,2,2,2,1 Final take I figured it has to use 6 people because on 2nd wave only 1 person has 0 taken meaning they have to be the cleanser. Recently thought I did a run where I didn't take a strength not cleanse the entire fight. Meaning my fireteam did it with 5 people... How? If there are 5 people, 4 of who are on 2x strength... Who cleansed? it wasn't me. P.S These comments are like looking in a time capsule. Very interesting to a guy who joined during the end of Season of the Lost.
Also if your Sentinel Titan with Shield barricade tell your team to stack on you when he fires orbs The Sentinel Shield will block all orbs and you can continue damage phase while giving your team a buff be mindful though they need to stack on you

You forgot to mention that banner shield is like the only necessary super for this fight really. Have no clue why you didn't mention that when you talked about having a guy assigned to killing the darts. He can just be banner shield, block all the darts and give his team weapons of light

hey datto, great video, i hope you could help a newcomer to destiny with a little question out. where is the difference between a 503 power helmet and a 503 defense helmet? does it affect the dmg or the defense in any way? i tried to test it out but came to no result.
To be honest this is probably where I'll get up to, beat and then get stuck on the vault. I plan on beating the raid but im in no rush. Love the first encounter though, so fun and simple while still having that raid stress.
The part about how the Taken Essence is handled is not thorough enough. I struggled many hours today trying different strategies but nothing felt like a optimal way of handling it.

This encounter was much more challenging to me and my team than Kalli or Shuro Chi, yes it is 5 power level higher than Shuro but more than anything, deaths with taken strength are just so punishing. We did a lot better once we learned that it is 2 cyclones before damage phase, so once that second one has occurred, everyone who does not have 2 stacks is free to collect the remaining strengths, including the middle one for damage.

Code of the Commander Titan can tank THE FUCK out of the axion darts during damage phase, if you wait to use the super you basically have it for the whole damage phase because the axion darts to spawn for almost 10 seconds after you start. Edit: When you DPS you can go to where you spawn at the beginning of the encounter where no enemies are, and where code of the commander can tank for the dps people

When you have taken strength, is it guaranteed that you get cycloned or its just random?
