Toyota Yaris GR Sound system, Audison Hertz car audio system installation. Another Yaris GR has it's horribly inadequate factory radio and speakers removed in place of some decent kit from Ourselves, Audison and Hertz car audio.

Great build, and beautiful integration. Love the way you adjusted the polystyrene boot liner to fit the Audison sub, and the amps fit a treat under the seat! Take it that the grilles on the A pillars were already there, and you didn’t have to create? Great thing about this build is that it can grow if your customer wants, and can be easily upgraded if desired! Did you manage to tune the ‘fake’ engine noise out of the system?

Thanks! So the engine noise is coded out. The A-pillars are stock with the tweeter in a plastic welded bracket behind. The client wanted no visible signs. This system, I should have described more in the video, was an internal exercise to simplify things and come away from the mainstream DSP amplifier. A bigger power supply and a stand-alone DSP always win in terms of dynamic range, imho. I think the majority slamming DSP amps into everything are sacrificing SQ for a lazy (efficient) sales decision. There's a time and a place for them, they're a revolutionary piece of kit but should be used in their correct scenario.

I’d be interested to hear the reflex 8 having owned the sealed active 8! Did you use this due to the compact space in the GR boot, to help the sound get out especially at the lower frequencies in the bass spectrum?

Yes mate, the ported box just manages to dig a little deeper for longer. It's impressive considering where you can fit it.
