I upgraded my GR to with these speakers front and rear and it makes a massive difference. I would deffo recommend anyone who likes good audio go for these. Easy to fit and great quality. Thanks for the help in the video.
how much was the kit?
My 07 Yaris has basically the exact same door speaker. It's crazy in 15 years they haven't changed.
I drove my Mrs mini the other day, and was amazed at how much(much much better) better the music quality is than my GR
Mines got the JBL system and it’s spot on
2 points to consider before upgrading speakers.
1. the flimsy light paper cone OEM speakers are highly effective (less power needed to make noise) - by installing "better" but less effective speakers, like heavy membrane, big magnet, the overall loudness or max volume can drop.
2. the signal coming to the speakers from the headunit is DSPed, to compensate the sound curve of the speakers - by installing new speakers with different sound characteristics the result can be annoying spikes or drops in some frequencies. so overall you might squeeze out better base etc. but you gonna live with some unpleasant effects.
Regarding point number 2 - I have heard about this. Can anything be done apart from installing 3rd party amp?
The OEM drivers also use neo magnet motors for the bass drivers, so they will naturally weigh less. The replacement speakers don't use neo magnet motors for the bass drivers.

When is the next video on your sound upgrades coming out ? I’m waiting to take delivery of mine GR Yaris in the next month or so. I’m very interested in the dash cam and speaker upgrades.
Going to order some in the next week. I wonder if they are really good! We shall see. Do you have any other upgrades ??
So I've just replaced the front speakers in my GR Yaris with these. It was a nice, easy upgrade that I would recommend.
Replacing the rears are not essential IMO..
A-Pillar trim can be a bit awkward and there's a few screws for the door card which need removing that we don't see in the video.
But overall the video did help, so thank you CAS!

How’s the ANC and engine sound in these speakers or you’ve turned them off?
@@mahdansar6835 it's so much better with ESE turned off, but I think it's better with ANC activated to eliminate some ambient noise.

Speakers now come with correct adapters in box.
I attach great importance to clear highs, mids and especially lows. Do the speakers have good bass or is the bass worse compared to the old speakers?
Would it be worth doing the front speakers alone? Would I be missing out not having the rear coax speakers?
Should of done it abit more in depth on the tweets as it’s not just a simple plug and play you need to use rivets

Amazing difference from a cost effective solution. Do you have the Bose speaker system in your X-Trail?
@@CarAudioSecurityUK No just the standard Nissan equipment. It’s the top range Tekna model with 360* cameras but still rubbish paper speakers.
No need the stock one in the HYBRID the bass is so deep you can hear the door trim rattling

Hey, does the noise cancelling and fake engine noise get affected by replacing the OEM speakers with these speakers? Is the top volume lower as more power need to power the new speakers?

Hi, would this speaker set fit into my 2008 Toyota Yaris SR?
I recently did the speakers in my 07 Yaris. I believe the front door speakers are the same. Rears were 6x9 and use a different adapter but mine is a sedan. Also no tweeters in the front.
Are the Speakers in the jbl Yaris better?
I have one, it sounds rubbish.
Would be good to mention that the one shown is the circuit pack. No DSP. Non circuit packs don’t benefit from a simple speaker upgrade as they have a DSP so a lot more is involved.
JL 8” ported sub in the boot sound deadening in the doors tune it accordingly. Let the sub handle its business and the 3 way Jbl’s do the mids and highs.

All sounds fab, and easy. Until you get the speakers and you have the car stripped, only to discover that power base have not supplied the correct plug-in adaptors in the kit, not just the rear speaker kit, but the front one as well. Bloody nightmare, had to strip back the cables and solder the wires to the car wiring loom(leaving existing plugs on, in case someone wants to return to stock). WARNING, Don’t trust power base to supply you the correct kit. Speakers sound fine.

@@AcdijkieNo, powerbass didn't respond, nor did anyone, so I managed by cutting the wires and adapting on my own. so for me the customer service at this seller is mediocre
If you buy these speakers prepare to buy toyota connectors,because you do not carry them even if they say otherwise,from my experience not plug and play only tweeters has it.
definitely plug and play and the connectors are in box
I can confirm that this setup on a GR Yaris Premium Pack sounds crap. Stay with the original. The Bass is horrible with that DSP.
Sorry you feel that way. We have sold and installed quite a few of these kits now and the overall feedback has been positive. This Powerbass option is a cost-effective quality solution, however there are other more expensive setups available, which we can also offer you should you prefer 👍🏼
