    Aw yeah, that’s one of my favorite places to go. Hiking there is like a nature adventure, it’s completely worth it once you reach the springs. It used to be a hotel in the early 20th century, awesome place. One of the best hot tubs in the world.

      Hi Abbey, the hike here from the parking area is less than a mile down the river. The road getting to the parking area is very bumpy so make sure to allow yourself about 1.5 hours for the drive each way. Have fun at the hot springs, I love it down there!

      @@Itzabbeyo I'm about 1.5 hours away. Now that you mention power line work, I recall them saying they'd be updating the lines in the area this spring. I don't imagine it will be closed for too long. I was actually thinking of going there in a week or two...maybe I'll see you there!

    • @OffGridBackcountryAdventures
      @OffGridBackcountryAdventures  5 років тому

      Hi Brandon, yeah the road is a bit rocky in some areas but totally doable in a normal passenger vehicle with normal clearance. It's has a ton of really bad washboard sections but if you go slow then it's fine. The last 100 yards that drops off into the campground is kind of steep but if you have good driving skills on that short section then you'll be okay. I hope you get a chance to visit this place, it's awesome! Have a great evening ~ Brian

      This place has been "discovered" for years, a favorite destination for the Phoenix crowd, and there are always people here. If you're a local then you need to do better in taking care of your backyard. Toilet paper and trash are everywhere, I did you all a solid and cleaned it up. Check out Google Maps, this place is listed there for years so I'm not giving anything away that isn't already known by the masses. Have a great day and be on the lookout for my "hot springs of new mexico/arizona" hand guide I'll be putting up for sale on my website which will include the Verde Hot Springs! ~ Brian

      @@ontherd you dont care because you will only go there once or twice to take your selfies and also get money from showing people these spots. This spot might as well be sacred ground to me. Legally yes they are everyone's public lands but I've been coming here since I was a child. All of the cool places are being completely trashed and are overwhelmed with people because of them going viral. People are now starting to stop geocaching . If people want to discover this place they will but why advertiser it knowing it's just gonna get trashed? You're free to do whatever but I dont have to like it so shove it. Oh and also you're the one who came back to make another comment 8 months later so perhaps your stressed?
