Nice video! Did you book your domestic flights in advance or pay for them in Argentina to try and get the better rate? Similar question with the hotels - pay in advance or pay the balance in cash when you were there? Seems it can make a big difference

I bought in advance on flights and hostels. I was there right before peak season that kicks off in mid December. Also, I really wanted nonstop flights on all legs and the nonstop flights sell out fast and if you get a layover it could be a 7-8 hour flight journey instead of 2 hours. If you're traveling in peak season and are open to longer travel days and not getting your hotel of choice then go for the cash route. I only had 11 days so opted for optimization as much as possible.

@@AndyAllOver thanks for the info. Probably will be off peak for me as I can't go until their winter. Let's see!
Did you manage to try card payments with the new tourist dollar rate ?

@@deadforever I didn't because that started after my trip which was Nov/Dec of last year. So I exchanged for cash on the street or Western Union.

Were you able to exchange at western union on the spot without initiating the transfer days in advance? Thanks!

Yes. I transferred online and showed up maybe an hour or two later. Didn't have long waits in BA or Bariloche but I know many have had worse experiences.
