Cool video. CN re-trucked a few of the plows to standard gauge and transferred them to it's mainland operations, the rest were either scrapped or donated to towns for train displays. . At least one of the former CN Newfoundland plows is still being used by CN.
What ever hsppened to the track that went thru the formal USA Navy base in Argentia, Nfld along the bay. I was stationed 1963 with USCG International Ice Patrol.
Those tracks were removed by CN rail after the branch line service was discontinued in 1984. The tracks were sold to foreign and Canadian interest.. The government built a 26-mile branch from Whitbourne to Placentia, opened in October 1888. In 1921 3 ½ miles of track were laid to Argentia, which provided a more reliable coastal boat terminal. The branch was upgraded in 1941 to serve the U.S. Navy base. It closed in 1984.

Great video... thank you for uploading. :-)
Great video. My father worked for the railway for about 23 years. Did you know Michael Guilfoyle?
