Very practical nuggets!
This is workable.
Kinda rad that you did the spark notes for us and then the system worked and pushed it to the top.
Delightful really.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the video editor who excellently weaved different clips together for the intro without people noticing. The audio was consistent but if you look closely Dr. Grace Lee was wearing different clothes. I bet he painstakingly checked all raw videos available to be able to come up with a cohesive intro. Kudos!
You're right. I just spotted that...
I tell you, EXCELLENCE is no accident.
yeah it was kinda weird why she kept changing outfits. I thought it had to do with the topic somehow. I guess Dr. Lee recorded parts of the video over separate sessions.
"Without people noticing"? First thing I noticed, I was waiting till the end to see this explained, and nothing! WTF.
Well, there was a subtle hint, with each change her confidence was increasing, starting to read from paper and then moving on.
Just because someone has a gorgeous heart & gentle nature doesn't mean they're naive or fragile. You don't know the type of chaos it took for someone to become that calm. Never confuse kindness for weakness...those ppl have survived the hardest battles - they're smart & strong ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You can say that again.👌👌👌👌
@@chinneynz7861 how about this
Never give up on a dream because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.....
👏👏👏
True indeed.

Thanks for your content. As a skilled and individual contributor in my organization I realize that my degrees have not taken me where I wanted. I elected the technical career path to avoid dealing with “navigating the politics”, and reducing the number of people I have to deal with..but it’s time to change and balance.
I like🤩 the content of this As someone who's attended countless conferences and presentations, I can say with confidence that the speakers who stand out are the ones who use repetition and storytelling to make their points
Thank you so much. Your video is equivalent to a complete book or a semester. Great eye opener to me.
Courage is the enhancer of influence. Love it.

Who feels that Dr Lee speaks much slower than this and the video has been edited to x1.25 or x1.5?
If that's true, I love that she did -- imagine watching this video for 30 mins?
Who care? Why worry about?
@@xiachang1792 An observation is not necessarily a worry
Let me try: World! Just as there are more particle collisions in the air than in a vacuum, we are living on a very dangerous crowded earth! Live!
You need to work in the White House for the"Big Guy"!
Only the best of the best everything else is why would you
Becareful when overpromising, it’s a guaranteed way out the door when you’re unable to deliver. 😂
how to speak so fast yet so fluent like you😅
Interesting... I like your video but was not not all all brief (B) so I'm moving on
I appreciate the comment and the feedback.
I'm not a leader, this is too much jargon for my simple mind to understand
Speaking like a leader doesn’t mean spitting too much Jargon. It’s about getting the message across in simple words, drive listeners to digest, think and get real about path forward and get excited with renewed energy… it doesn’t mean where you are … you could be leader leading a local sports team or a working on construction job or leading team of professionals….it all comes down to authenticity. Some of the greatest leaders didn’t practice all this Jargon. Be authentic, forthcoming, be empathetic, set the goal, have tolerance for mistakes but learn from them
It will be difficult to understand the motivation of the content here if you are not in the position of leading or have not observed your team leaders on how they lead the team.
Good. Someone who is still struggling with self-limiting beliefs is not fit to lead anyway.
@@chaidaroexactly this is what i was going to reply 😅.
Same thinking. 👍
Well….. the reality is that you are either a leader or a follower. Followers are always broke. Is this you?
Brevity is the soul of wit does not mean brevity equals intelligence. If so Shakespeare would only have written sonnets not plays, Ovid would have written a page and Newton's principia mathematica wouldn't include one full equation.
In speaking with executives understand they have very little time for you (& the attention span of a goldfish ) So don't worry about the details. Speak in short points at 30k feet view. The devil is in the details for implementation. But not when downloading to executives. Use industry jargon, buzzwords and catchphrases.
This is true. The reason why executives practice brevity is because they often have very little time to deal with any issues, so they would communicate in a way that is brief and have all the details distilled. Unfortunately, this style often involves the use of vague catchphrases, big words, or abstract principles, which may benefit individuals with specific personality traits. As a result, it is not uncommon to encounter managers and executives who rely on grandiose language but lack substance in their communication.
1)dont please others
2)said thank you at the end
3)dont admit to mistake
4)response to those topic thats benefits you
Avg ppl in Current era thinking of speak in confidences😂😂😂
I feel like this is more like ABCDE on how to be a leader … instead of public speaking. Excellent content nonetheless.
I think instead of speaking like a leader, how about becoming like a real leader?
How would you grade Joe Biden’s speaking skills given he holds the highest and most prestigious role in our country?
It's all hypothetical.
Maybe Dispassion was put in here to complete the alphabet.
This is all a waste of effort and life and I resent that I need to learn how to do this bc it’s expected in industry 😢
Retired after 3+ decades, leaders can count in one hand, plenty yes men & women !!!
What?
Haha😂!!!...$$$$ if u r super rich....you are a leader !!😂
Why are you changing clothes?
To make it more interesting.
Dr G.L. I like the way the clip started shape shifting into different attires. I know this is a professional platform but allow me to bend the rules "without breaking them" and say that you're such an intelligent and lovable Swan 🦢. You touch the deepest areas of my communication needs.
Back to business:
Is there a way we can use the power of our imagination to build these important aspects into our inner selves. I know practice is key nonetheless, I also feel our imagination of what we want to become is important to sharpening our communication skills? Do you have ideas of how can we tap into our inner selves to become the best of ourselves?
Tawanda, the intro was perfect for setting the scene. It backed up the amazing information she went over in this video
