Hi Kim, thank you, mate, good to be out again, yes, the field will be ploughed and sown with winter barley and be detectable again in the spring. All the best to you, GL&HH, Ian.
Hi Ian. I own a Garret 400i and Live in West Cumbria. I am enjoying your videos. Just wondering if you could show us the display as you find things ? I could do with some tips not just with the 400i but also in how to get permissions as I am not confident yet - and it`s been 2 years. So, I have only had a small permission of local parish - which aint much tbh. I`d love to be out there on farm fields finding my first hammered. Anyway, keep up the good work
Hi Tony, pleased that you're enjoying my videos. I can try and show the display on the machine as I dig but am not sure it would be of much help to you. Are you on Facebook? Can I suggest that you sign up to the "Metal Detecting Cumbria" page and contact the administrator, Justin Bell, who also lives and detects on the West Coast, as do many of the other detectorists who post on that site. Generally, I have found the best way to get permissions, is to go face to face with the farmers and ask them for permission, you may get a lot of "No" replies but you only need a single "yes" and you have your first farm permission. Hope this helps, all the best to you, GL&HH, Ian.
Thanks, Ian, for a most enjoyable hunt! Wonderful finds.
