- Episode 5 of Cromwell's Kitchen Concerts features my take on Ry Cooder’s version of "Tamp ‘Em Up Solid" while consuming some Fighting Cock Bourbon and White Chocolate & Oreo Pudding Pops. I'm playing my Custom 2009 John How X-Braced Grand Concert in drop-D tuning.
Enjoy!

This is great! Thanks for posting it.
Wonderful interpretation. You play effortlessly. Really enjoyed it. Thanks
This is the best version I've ever heard, brings back so many memories.
Thanks, Sam. Sorry, I don't get over here as often as I would like.
Great version. Unique delivery and use of lyric line. Such nice alternating base line with your voice & single notes on the guitar complementing the whole unique arrangement. Thank you. Really nice version.
Thank you very much!
Have Mercy! Everything about that was right, everything.
Excellent....great job..
Excellent!

You're THE BOSS! Really not as good but... I tried to do a cover 😂 Your picking is awesome. Thank you.
Respect!
Thanks, +plazo023!
How do you do that without dots on the frets!!! I always said you were a genius! :) I love this series so much....
I do have side dots; not as impressive, I know...
I started thinking about adding this song to my solo Blue/Americana shows. Looked at a bunch of videos and was going to go with Ry's until I stumbled on yours. It knocked me out. It will take me awhile, but I most definitely will learn your version. Hope you don't mind!
Steve! Thanks! By all means, steal away. It's basically Ry's version off of Paradise and Lunch, as best as I could hear it through the other instruments...plus a little of my own stuff.
Nice version and guitar!
Thanks, Gibby!
This is great Shaun. Youre in dropped D and I see the G. Those bass runs are clever and is that an A at the fifth fret? Do you have a tab of this?
Hey Paul, no sorry, I don't usually transcribe/tab stuff out. I learn it by ear and then just try to remember it (which doesn't always work, ha!). I would have to relearn parts of this myself, it was like 5 years ago...
Is this in standard tuning?
+Ian Owen No, it's drop-D.
