Juiced 2 and SRS were definitely inspired by the big car shows of that era, Hot Import Nights, Autosalon, all had promo girls on the covers of magazines and in their car show events. Hence the ladies in the games.

Juiced 2 was absolutely fantastic. I definitely think you need to give it a better chance. I grew up playing Juiced on the PS2 then Juiced Eliminator and Juiced 2 on psp and honestly one of the better games on that system. I did play it on 360 as well and completed it on both systems. It's so good once you get into it and unlock all the cars. I really need to play this again.
I played it on the psp as well. Never got past stage 4, my dumbass 6 year old self never knew how to properly drift without hitting the walls. I also won every song non drift race with stock cars (I wasn’t skilled enough to unlock the upgrades)

You can say whatever you want, this game was and will always be in my heart. My childhood is in this game.
I absolutely love this game, and i personally think is better than the first one without that stupid respect system, great soundtrack, fun arcadey handling, better graphics, etc. Overall, is just more fun to play honesty

@@lycanthrochick Wdym???? The cars handle great and the drifting is so satisfying when you get the hang of it. And also the soundtrack have some awesome artists too like Pendulum and Queens of the Stone Age
If you're looking for more oldschool racing games, you might want to try "Overspeed: High Performance Street Racing" from 2006, which I don't think I saw on your channel before. Still one of my most favourite progression systems, and even tho it's somewhat short and doesn't have much to it (no licenced cars for example), what it does have is pretty solid imho. Would love to see you check it out.
The one thing I enjoyed out of The Crew (first one) was that the cars kept track of how much miles they have been driven and shown on the techometer in the bottom :)
Little details like that are amazing

This game was legendary to me for the time I remember playing this on ps2 and trying so many different cars to beat people
You should definitely do a series on this. Awesome cars and events I think you can even race “the stig” in certain events

Juice to was mostly a hot import nights advertisement since they were the ones mostly in charge with the project and if you don’t know what hot import knights is, it’s a magazine theme back in the 2000s just like how midnight club use dub magazine for the theme juice to used it hot import nights as a theme
Hot Import Nights or HIN was a series of car show events popular in the mid 2000's. It was a competitor to NOPI which was popular in the late 90's early 00's.
I remember when this game came out I did enjoy it but I do recall thinking it was weird that they took juiced this direction(which is crazy because I was like 8 lol!). It’s not just one thing they changed either, it’s the presentation that changed, the atmosphere, the progression, you get it. A lot of it changed honestly, it has similarities to the previous but you really gotta look at it as a separate game(as if it’s not apart of the same series as juiced 1). Although Idk for pants it’s the name, I think it’s just the type game it is for me personally. It’s not like Prostreet where it’s gritty and it’s not like GT where it’s a serious and tries to be a sim.

You know, the PS2 version of this Game whas actually alot better, the Tracks where different in route, Lay-out what reminded to the Original, also the steering felt alot better just Like Test Drive Unlimited on PS2 had actually a drift mode and way better care handling

I totally remember playing this on PS2, there was an event where you had to make one single drift with 500.000 points, it was SO FUN to do one single big drift.... I'm buying this game just to play that moment

The menu music takes me back. I remember farming money by drifting in a viper.
More please! This game introduces a lot more and has a lot more Juiced 1 than you think. 360 version still has working Multiplayer too.
I bought this game for the free ticket for the hot import nights car show and it was fun. But I put in so much hours in this game. Great memories

Juiced 2 really bumped my car interested to a new level after NFSU2 and MW2005. It also single handedly started my obsession with the Evo 8 after I fully upgraded one in this game and it was legitimately unstoppable

Played the hell out of Juiced Eliminator on my PSP back in the day, recently picked up Juiced 2 and despite all the odds i can say that I enjoyed it a lot. This series kinda combined Underground and ProStreet feel, and it's a shame that Juiced died. If i'm correct, the ip belonged to THQ which Went bankrupt in 2013, but there's hope for THQ Nordic - don't know if they actually aquired Juiced, but i still hope for the comeback
I had great memories playing Juiced 2 on my PS3. It has alot of progression to take it to the top. Always winning bets against other driver. The customization is great with their aftermarket brand. It's better to make a Let's Play video of this game.
I remember playing this game on the PS2 it was fun for a bit till I started to get bored or progression stop as I could not do any of the drift events

I wanted to love this game when I played it on the 360, I could progress the game I looked it up on the internet and UA-cam but it didn't explain my problem. So I moved on to Forza motorsport 2.

I really loved this game. went totally bonkers on the sticker system, it really blew my mind back in the day with all the layering options. other than that, I feel like it was way too easy.
This game I believe it was the only one to have the VeilSide Tokyo Drift bodykit for the RX7 and it's still the only one even today (without CarX Drift)! It had most if not all the bodykits/bodyparts for the cars that were in the first three Fast and Furios movies. You should try Full Auto 2 and Crash 'n' Burn, Midtown Madness 3, Project Gotham Racing 4, L.A. Street Racing, Metropolis Street Racer, Import Tuner Challenge (2000s racing games). ✌️❤️
A Gran Turismo from years ago…had the Veilside NSX and Mazda RX-7 ..the Tokyo Drift game had those bad boys too and the Need For Speed game that was out before the current one!

I never got into this either back in the day. It was too different vs what I loved about the original. That said... I never have given it a 2nd chance either in recent years. Maybe I should.
wasn’t Juiced 2 released around about the same time Tokyo Drift was? i seem to think that the ‘drifting’ theme was along side that. i could be wrong though
Juiced 1 is by far my favourite racing game ever. Played so much of it on ps2. But my mother got juiced 2 because it was one of the few games that featured the Gen 2 CRX.
It took me some time, but once you disassociate it from juiced 1. It in of itself is a fun game. Just drastically different
Stream it bro. I know you're not buying into this game, but think about it and Juiced 1 too. I'm still playing Juiced 2 (15 years total) today and it is a blast of fun when you get used to some stuff, even the multiplayer is still working and there's a many players that still race online. You can always approach championship in a different way, choose a different car, customize it in a different manner too, and the list can go on. Yeah, the drift physics is something that they have missed, it's too easy to get used to it. Great video as always man!!

Cars are quite detailed with extremelly destroyable body panels and over the top customization.
The racing is challenging, maybe too sensitive at high speeds, but controllable enough, with super smooth and responsive drifting that you have to master.
Only thing I miss would be free roam.
I like that your pink slip actually change and gets old throughout you playing
I used to love this game so much on xbox 360, I can't tell you how much I have played it, my God
looooved this game, loved the pinkslip races the most, if you lost your car, they would drive it in your face, I'd just take other peoples cars and apply my custom liveries

Juiced is a kind of legal but still brutal street racing games, its has its unique style, its don't even needs cops of traffic, its already has the point

for me as a kid growing with juice 2 the crime they did is how plasticky the car look in ps2 but they give us that ultrarealistic car in the opening

for me drifting in juiced 2 is very good ,bc i can drift full 2 laps on french revolution. and idk why and how but i was the master at drifting in ford focus
For content you should make more videos or livestream, one thing I found with juiced 2 is it felt too easy to win there wasn't really a challenge but I get what you mean when you say do what you want with how the game pans out,
This is why I loved NFS most wanted with the blacklist races it gave you something to work towards to get razr

Sorry I liked it…the pink slip races and spectator mode with the betting plus the fact that you could hire racers to be on your team…so they could drive your cars in your races with or without you…you can see where the Need For Speed and Forza franchises stole…borrowed ideas from…they had the Veilside kits for the Mazda RX-7 and NSX before both of those franchises…the character customization was crude but it was cool plus you could create vanity plates and the car customization was better than Need For Speed, Forza , or Gran Turismo games released at that time!

I just loved how juiced 2 is the only racing game that's had pink slip races and it actually took your car if you lose I loved that so much this game and need for speed underground 2 are my favorite racing games of all time and definitely top tier of racing games 💯

I loved Juiced 2 when I was younger, but I genuinely hated the Drifting, looking back it looks like a janky version of like Ridge Racer for the drifting.
Gameplay wise I enjoyed Juiced 2 though, and had met some friends through it, though don't talk to them anymore lmao.
