It is VERY nice to see two hardworking young women outside working. There are a million air headed girls doing stupid stuff of no importance on the internet. Y'all are the real deal.

A particular wood, split rather small. It was not a $180/200 cord. (here in CT)

I see some comments saying that you should be using a dump truck. It is my view that a dump truck or a truck and trailer both have advantages and disadvantages. For example if a loaded dump truck brakes down, then the deliveries stop. If the truck hooked to the trailer brakes down, you unhook it and hook up a different truck and deliveries continue. Also with the truck and trailer method, the specialized part is separate from the truck. This means that you can change trucks without having to get a new dump box put on or the old one moved over. I feel that using the truck and trailer system gives a lot more flexibility to a small business.

Some tuber pointed out, holding the bottom of your steering wheel and moving the wheel the direction you want the trailer to go was a good method. It is. So good I felt compelled to say it out loud again :)
The length of the trailer's tow is important. Long means easier.

Gotta love them pennsylvania girls. She's not driving a dodge thirtyfive hundred, its a thirtyfive hunderd. You girls are soooo real. The world needs a lot more gals like you.
I aged and crippled out of helping my old partner even doing the deliveries. I never had anyone around to teach me the art of backing a trailer, I'm now 75 and still can't do it! He sells cord wood, it is mostly oak, split and seasoned. When we would deliver we would properly stack the trailer or truck bed. A 3/4 ton truck bed will hold one half cord. The trailer is an old truck bed so it makes it easy to deliver a half cord at a time and the customer knows it is a half cord. Delivery and stacking is an extra cost.

Em, you and sis are beautiful young ladies. Old and retired now, but raised in seafaring town, I was corrupted young, sorry had to get that out of the way. I was raised on a small farm though. If I may give just one little piece of advice: Try to have the driven axle of the pulling vehicle weighted somehow, especially when you haul heavier trailers. Don't just rely on the tongue weight alone, you shouldn't overload that anyway (safety hazzard and a massivly bumpy ride even on paved roads), as you'll know for sure.
You want to drive the trailer around with your truck, you don't want your truck driven around by your trailer.

As a fellow red head, I have to say your hair is awesome. At one point in my life The Metal years late 80's My hair was almost that long. Not easy to keep care of.

Emerald the only thing more beautiful than laying down a load of firewood is when my neighbor brings in a load of crushed gravel for our driveway. Spreading gravel nice and even is truly a sight for sore eyes! You make firewood spreading looks easy! Your crushing it!
Loved the video, brought back the good old days. Be honest still kinda miss it. I just cut firewood for my self and a few customers. We did the no fees. But we tried to keep the price down so if we had to it wasn't a big deal. Y'all are just great
From the vid, it did not look like your trailer safety chains were crossed. If so good, but they were way too slack. The safety chains must be crossed and shortened enough to make a turn. But. They're purpose being crossed is to catch the trailer hitch in case it should come un hooked and cradle the hitch so it does not dig into the road and flip the trailer and keep control. Just helping so don't beat me up. Been there done that on the bad end when a coworker did not latch the hook properly. The safety chains caught the large equipment trailer and did their job! Ultimately my fault for not double checking. Lesson learned.

Cleared house lots in Mass / Conn. area . Hickory was scarce ! Saved all I came across for my own wood furnace . Definitely needed a wood splitter to get through that “ Stringy “ stuff ! Nothing burned HOTTER !!! Good Luck , W
