This song was a parody answer to Barry McGuire's 1965 hit "Eve Of Destruction".

This song doesn't sound like that great song that I remember back in the summer of 1965. I was only 15 and haven't heard it since then but I'm very disappointed. I remember I liked the answer song to Eve of Destruction as much as The Eve of Destruction, but this sounds DIFFERENT! Moreover the Eve of Correction song sure was wrong, there are still dead bodies floating in the Jordan River.

Do you have 'The Ballad of the Green Berets' on 45? That would probably be the ultimate capper. Also, how cow I forgot how crazy this song is to boot.

I have this on CD, but the mono sounds better. The Stereo Version sounds like he's singing in a garbage can.

This blows big time! This relic was released shortly after Barry McGuire's" Eve Of Destruction." Both are equally ill-conceived junk!

+Jack Mayoff Well, yes, this blows, but I can tell you from being there Eve of Destruction was exactly how we all felt back then.

A great song -- much better than eve of destruction. This one also turned out to be more accurate. A fantastic song from a couple generations before me.
If only this song was more popular.

+You Sunk My Fishy Where you there? I was, and I can tell you that Eve of Destruction is where we were....but one hoped that Dawn of Correction was the direction we would go.

My dad was there -- he was in the Army. I'm still quite sure Dawn of Correction is correct. Bad things happen, sure. Less than there were 1,000 years ago, or 1,000 years before that. Because we keep better track of world events and televise things, we think things are getting worse. They aren't -- it's just we know about it more now.
Deaths caused by war and murder are declining, technologies in the medical and ecological fields are improving, and we're ever-so-slowly inching our way out to the stars.
Another war arises? Well, that's still less than normal in the trend shown by human history. A study done on data from 2012 showed that, in 2012, deaths due to international war was down to 10 deaths per million people -- as opposed to 250 deaths per million people in the 1950s.
Yeah; the world is screwed up, but it's less screwed up than it used to be. Don't even get me started on the Hundred Years' War, various Asian wars and conquests, etc.
When there are more people in the world and each country has more citizens and soldiers, you can expect death tolls to rise. That said, you should look at it percentage-wise. Even then, though: The total number of wars being fought is dropping over time. The point to war is almost completely gone now, save for in more remote geographic locations.

Sorry for the double post, but, long story short: It may have felt like the world was on the "Eve of Destruction," but it wasn't. The sun was just getting ready to break in the "Dawn of Correction."
