❤SOUL❤
Great track that I don't recall ever hearing before, and I was alive and listening to radio back then! It's interesting how you can hear that the drummer picked up the tempo a bit as the song went on. Common when real musicians play real instruments.
This is one of the first soul songs I ever heard. I was a white boy of 9 years old & I was hooked on soul music !
Wow man what a groovy bunch of notes touching each other !!!
the Wicked Wilson Pickett !
I never heard this wilson pickett track, lovin it. J~
I'm glad you posted this song! I was listening to an AM station in the car one day, and this came on. I looked for it when I got home and was joyed to find it was Wilson Pickett. Was glad they had the courage to play it! I wish other stations would.
Thanks for posting.
1967, li conosco bene...
You've got some great stuff here!!! Thanks.
Interesting fact: a young boy living on the coast of North Carolina in the 60s, listening to 77WABC late at night and hearing these very songs. Really enjoying this stuff!
Genio forever
What a KILLER bassline!!!!!
Is Tommy Cogbill
grew up on this===1st song I ever played drums to...I was pretty damn good too............
On weekend leave from Camp Pendleton headed for Broadway in San Diego.
A favorite from those days, great for dancing! Been to the Mystery Spot too :)
you certainly have my attention....great collection
Memories of my grammar school days on the island of Guam in the early 60's, which of course a U.S. Territory.😉😘
To me, the summer of '67 was just another ordinary summer vacation from school. I was between schools then.
it was actually Tommy Cogbill...but a groove like that is good enough for more than one bass player!!
i'm back playing this again and again. ; )
